SLMoroz says "Very large and hard to clean if you have a small sink." about Rival Stoneware Slow Cooker

This slow cooker cooks a little too well! I have had some foods burn around the edges if I leave the crock pot on high when I am at work. I like making mashed potatoes ahead of time and then putting them in the crock pot on the low setting. This is a very pretty and decorative looking crock pot and it is quite large, so if you are cooking for a large family or get together, this would be the ideal crock pot for you. I have never experienced any technical or electrical issues with it. One really nice feature is that the pot is removable which makes for easy cleaning and transporting. I have made soup in my crock pot before and only took the stone insert to the gathering I was going to. It is heavy, so make sure you have a good handle on the crock pot when carrying it. I recently came across Reynold's Crock Pot Liners (http://www.amazon.com/Reynolds-Aluminum-00504-Cooker-Liner/dp/B000RUAV16). These liners will save you clean up time when cooking in your crock pot.
...

naturesjuice says "Couldn't Live Without This Slow Cooker!" about Rival Stoneware Slow Cooker

I absolutely love my Rival Stoneware slowcooker, I have the 6 qt model and I truly don't know what I'd do without it. It has two settings - low and high, and a quality stoneware inner liner that's easy to clean. I had an older model for years and last year upgraded to this one and use it on average about once a week to make great stews, short ribs, or tenderize meat that slow cooks for hours and is fall off the bone tender. I also make great homemade macaroni and cheese with it. It couldn't be easier to use - I would like to see a somewhat longer cord on it as I have a lack of outlets in my kitchen so I have to place it rather near a particular outlet which is a bit awkward but apart from that one pet peeve, I haven't had any problems with it at all such as overheating, poor heating or problems of that sort. Just plug it in, set it on low or high, and go! Be sure to follow the directions and recipes and you'll be able to make some really yummy things without slaving for hours. ...
...

Every kitchen needs a slow cooker. My slow cooker was my main kitchen appliance. My sister borrowed my slow cooker and broke it!! Ouch!! This was a big deal because I cook most of my families meals in it. She replaced it with a Rival Stoneware Slow Cooker that comes with an insulated bag. Now, not only do I cook most of my meals in it, I carry it to parties, church events, etc in the bag. It keeps it warm and helps eliminate spills.

Nothing is easier than putting all of your ingredients into the bowl setting it and forgetting about it. My families favorite is pot roast. I put in my pot roast with frozed and canned vegtables, worcheshire or soy sauce along with other spices for flavor and we eat on this meal for days. Nothing compares to a slow cooker. It is easy and always makes food taste great.

When planning my menu for the week, the slow cooker will be used at least two times a week.

Roast, soups, stews, chili, etc all cook well in the slow cooker.
...

I was very impressed the very first time I used my Rival Crock Pot. It heats up fast and stays at a steady temp. The keep warm feature is a very nice feature

It's very attractive sitting out on the counter. And it is also very easy to clean.

The only complaint is, that it needs a timer to shut it off at end of cooking time.
...

I got my RIval slow cooker for Christmas 2 years ago; didn't think I'd use it much. BUT, it's been wonderful; I love putting dinner on in the morning, setting it and have a great meal by 6pm. I need to get a slow cooker cookbook so I can learn more about crockpot cooking but, there's some great stuff on the Internet too. The cooker itself is fantastic; it's super-easy to clean with the removable ceramic insert. It's hard to mess up a meal with this crockpot. I think Rival is very competetively priced; you get a lot for what you pay for. There's crockpots that are way more expensive but, I see no advantage to them over my Rival. I also liked the multiple designs available; they aren't just useful, they're attractive as well. I thought it would be a pain to store it but, that's been no problem either; it tucks away nicely in my pots/pans cupboard and there's room to spare (maybe I'm just lucky with my storage space :).
...

My Rival Stoneware Slow Cooker was a wedding gift from a hungry father-in-law. It is six quarts and is perfect for the large meals I cook on the holidays. I wish it had come with a smaller cooker for dips and appetizers because the size really makes it inconvenient to use for these things unless your cooking for the football team. The cooking time matches the recipes I've used and the simple low, high, warm settings are all you need for a slow cooker. I love the stoneware base that can be removed from the cooker and used as a presentation dish or even put in the oven, though the lid has a plastic handle that is not oven safe. The cooker is large and does take up quite a bit of counter space but I much prefer making room for it than attempting to cook slow roast or slow cooking recipes in the over or on the stove. I feel much safer leaving my slow cooker running overnight or during the day while I'm out and about than I would doing the same with a range. I would probably skip some recipes...
...

We love our new Rival Crock Pot. I do not know how we got along without it for so long. The Rival Crock pot is quite large so it will hold a large roast and all the vegies too. It will also hold a large corn beef. The corn beef is so tender cooked in the crock pot you can cut it with a fork. You can cook on high for just a few hours or cook on low all day. If you work this is ideal. I work in the gardens a lot and slow cooking is my way to go. The crock pot is easy to clean as the stoneware lifts out and can be cleaned in the sink or dishwasher. If you are going to a pot luck and need to keep a dish warm [such as meatballs} the crock pot is ideal. Doesn't use a lot of electricity and is safe to keep on all day. Mine does not have an automatic turn off. Wish it did. I know there are other brands of crock pots but I do feel that Rival makes the best one out there. It is a brand I will always trust.
...

The Rival Stoneware Slowcooker is a very inexpensive crock pot to have. I have used this crock on many occassions and for many many days! It is very easy to store and takes up very little space in my cabinet. This slow cooker definitely gets four stars from me. I would have given it five stars but beacuse of the size I cannot put a whole lot in the slow cooker.

The Rival Crock Pot is an excellent slow cooker. It offers you the chance to make a complete meal in one pot. You can either cook the meal overnight or during the day while you're busy doing other things! The Rival has four settings, 4 hours, 6 hours, 8 hours or 10 hours, as well as a "warm" setting.

I also like the fact that you can remove the crock pot bowl and use it for storing left overs in the refrigerator. This way you can cook enough for several meals and use the food for a quick bite at lunch, or save it and add a salad and make a quick dinner.

The Rival Crock Pot comes with an insulated cover that fits over the complete cooker with openings for the crock pot handles. This allows you to carry it to church or community potlucks or to family dinners.

The Rival is attractive enough to set on the table and serve your dinner directly from the crock pot.

I highly recommend the Rival Crock Pot to anyone interested in making cooking easier!
