Not impressed with the Rival Crock Pot. It takes forever to heat. Also, I've had several electrical problems with this crock pot. I would not recommend and am sorry to say so because Rival is supposed to be such a dependable brand.

I have had this product for about a year now and like it. The low setting seems to cook a little hotter then other crockpots I have owened in the past but I have gotten use to it. I use this crock pot quit a bit approx 5 - 7 times a month.

Pros = Large, able to handle most anything I make.

Cons = Low seems to be a little hot for me

I got this crock pot after searching for about a month. It was not a question of availability or price ,but I wanted the best crockpot that wouls suit my life. I am busy and I cook for a number of people so that the main cuisine doesn't become burgers or pizza. So what I needed was a cooker that would be easier than going through a drive thru. Rival made a product that speaks too most of my needs. I questioned myself,because I couldn't decide what an appropriate value would be placed on a utensil that saves so much time,hassle and money. This is not the most hi-tech crock pot on the market but it's pretty darn good. Here is an example if you make something that only takes 4 hours and you are away for 5, this is not the best pot for that,but the size is extremely accomodating and if you are ruly busy this pot is not self-cleaning,and most kitchen items are self cleaning. That is why I gave the Rival crock pot the rating I gave it ,but like I said it does afairly good job....

The Rival crock pot 7 quart is the perfect size for my family. It's very easy to use and has a removable stoneware pot which can be filled the night before, stored in the refridgerator overnight and then placed into the unit and turned on. So convenient and easy to clean!

Rival Crock Pot Rank Top in my family. Used many times over. I find myself shopping just so i can use it planning my day around it. And the best part is you never have to worry about over cooking. Theres is a little clean up after wards . So i was telling my mother in law how it a beatiful pork pot roast and how moist it was. She went out bought herself one. Also i found very useful when we have a social outting the meals is always ready when we return.

The Rival Crockpot is wonderful. I love mine. In my opinion its the best thing since sliced bread. Very little mess just a bit of chopping and you have a delicious meal that basically cooked it self. Yuu can make a variety of dishes with this for a very low price. I prefer the Rival brand myself. I bought this at Target for $19.99 and can feed up to 6 people . I recommend this brand in general. I know at Target they had smaller and larger in the Rival brand and the price ranged from $8.49 - about $69.99. Great for on the go families whether they are big or small. No mess , little prep and NO slaving over the stove

The 7 quart crock pot is great for moms on the go! I am a nurse working 12 hours shifts-coming home and having supper ready is a life saver. The size is great! I have two teenage boys to feed so I need the large cooking capacity. Clean up is quick and easy with the removable inner pot. I would recommend this product to any one wanting an convient and verstile cooking experience.

The crock pot is great for soups-nothing better on a cold fall or winter day!! A word of warning- add your noodles about an hour before eating to avoid over cooking. There's nothing worse than overcooked noodles!! Another favorite of my family is to slow cook a roast for about twelve hours-until it is fall apart tender-then shread and add barbque sauce. That makes the best BBQ sandwiches !!! I have seen several receipes for crockpot cakes but have yet to try one-but you can make a fruit crisp or cobbler that is a crowd pleaser!

My one major rule for easy clean up-spray with no stick cooking spray before...

The Crockpot is almost a kitchen in itself. I have been able to cook a number of recipes in it from soups, main dishes to desserts. This is surely a one pot cooker and will cook almost anything you want to cook in it. What I really like about it, is that you can put all ingredients in it, set it and leave it until the time that you need it. Its great to fix breakfast casseroles in overnight and when you are ready for it the next morning, breakfast is ready for you. The core of the pot can be removed and placed in the bottom of the dishwasher and is very easily cleaned....
