I have not been satisfied with this crock pot. There are several issues with this particular model. First of all, the stoneware interior tends to have hot spots that will burn the food if it is left unattended. I have never had this problem before with a crock pot, but have had it happen several times with this model. Also, something that is even more problematic is the led. Is is held on by a screw, but it is not tight enough to keep food particles from getting underneath, so to clean it properly you have to remove the top handle of the lid. Over a short amount of time this wears loose, and can fall off from the bottom side into your food. The moisture that gets up underneath and between the screw and lid seem to strip the bolt so that it doesn't hold any more. You have to take it off with a philips head screwdrive which is somewhat inconvenient when working in the kitchen. I would not buy this model again because of the problems I have encountered and it definitely wasn't...
...

We purchased the Rival Smart Pot Crockpot a few months ago, and have not been extremely pleased with the results. It seems like this model of crock pot heats up to a higher temperature than any other crock pot that we've ever had or used, even on the lowest setting which is low - 10 hours. I can leave for three to four hours and then come back to check on food, only to find that things are burned to the bottom when I had the temperature set to low. There also seems to be a trick to using the "warm" setting. Warm doesn't seem to keep the temperate at a warm setting, it keeps the temperature at whatever setting it's at before you select warm. In order to get food at a temperature that I consider to be warm, I need to turn the unit off for a few minutes and then hit the warm setting so that food doesn't keep boiling away. That may be the way that it was supposed to work, but nothing in the manual ever indicated that.
...

This crock Pot is amazing. I love that it has diffrent time settings on it. It totally helps. I work for a living and don't have the luxury of staying at home...which i so wish i could because i enjoy making my family good meals. Sooo with the crock pot i can either pre the food at night or i the morning...depending on what i am making. When i get home my house smells wonderful. ANd my husband is in hog heaven because he doesn't have to have chicken and rice again for dinner, I also get lots of complements from him on everything i have cooked in it. The little diper that comes with it is really nice for parties or small get togathers. I like to put spaniage dip in it. The only problem i have is that it doesn't have a temp setting on the little dipper oh and that you can't take it out to store the remaining contents in the fridge like you can the crock pot. Other than that is great and i would recommend it.
...

I've been a Rival Slow Cooker owner for several years now. My wife and I started out with a 2qt. size when we were married about 10 years. With both of us working 10 or 12 hours a day plus 2 hour travel time there were days that without that crock pot slow cooking all day we would not have had any supper at all.

Now after 34 years of marriage,3 children and 3 grandchildren we've had to add a newer Rival Classic Chrome 5 Quart Slow Cooker in order to fill the food preperation duties here at our home. Notice I said add. Thats a very important statement. You see the 2qt Rival Electric Stoneware Slow Cooker that we bought 24 years ago is still on duty right beside the new model, and it hasn't lost a thing. It's just as good as the day we bought it. I kid you not. You got my word on it. I know you don't know me but if you did you'd know I mean what I say.
...

I bought my first Rival Crock Pot about five years ago and I use it all of the time. I really like how easy it is and how tender the food always turns out. I now own the smaller five quart model, but I will shortly be investing in the larger ten quart model. I like to make large quantities of food and either freeze what is left over for quick tv style dinners or just remove the ceramic pot from the cooker and refrigerate and finish what I have made throughout the week. Being a single person it is usually very hard to make a good homemade meal because most single people do not like to take the time to cook for themselves, but with the Crock Pot it makes it not only easier but it also saves one so much money. It also comes in very handy when entertaining guests. Not only can you cook up a gourmet looking meal, but you can keep it warm for hours while your guests mingle. I tell everyone about how great it is to have a Crock Pot and many of my friends have bought them after trying some of my...
...

My rival crock pot is a life savor due to being a mom and on the go to ball games and school events it is very hard to make time to cook a good meal at night but with my rival crock pot I can just about cook anything in the pot and put it on low and return home to serve to the kids. One feature that I do enjoy is that I can remove the inside pot to store in the fridge after it cools and wipe the outside off and be done with it the convience of that is a real time saver exspecialy when you have been running with the kids all afternoon to events. The stainless steal feature is what I have and it blends in to the kitchen decore very well and alot of people have asked to you like your rival crock pot and I tell them it was a well worth it investment and I would recommend if you don't have one you should invest in one because they are a time saver and are very easy storage. The easy to see through lead is nice you can see if it is done without letting all the heat out. I have to boys...
...

I love my Rival 5-quart Crockpot. It sounds large, but you'd be surprised how versatile this larger-than-standard crockpot is. It works just perfectly for dinner for two (with leftovers of course) or it can easily feed a hungry party of 20 with chili or stew. It's great for soups, spaghetti, macaroni, or any huge-sized side dish you have in mind such as potatoes, corn or vegetables.

If you're cooking for less than 10, this crockpot does run a little hot. I use the warm setting instead of low for slow-cooking of 6 hours or more. But for a big pot of chili - this crockpot makes cooking simple. Just place your ingredients in the 5-quart, oval-shaped pot in the morning, and you've got delicious, slow-simmered chili that's been absorbing all the flavors or your ingredients in six hours. The slow cooking method is key for flavor-filled main dishes that get more spicy, more tender and more delectable the longer they're cooked.
...

I bought my Rival crock pot a few years ago at Target. It cost under $30, had a removable crock pot, and it also came with a tote bag. I have had it 4 years now, and I really like it. I have made several dishes in it, and they have all turned out fantastic. I like the fact that I can remove the pot inside for easy cleaning. (Too make it even easier to clean, I started purchasing slow cooker bags. All you need to do for clean-up, is remove the bag and your pretty much done!) It also has a see thru glass top, which makes it easy to peek and see how things are cooking!I have made beef stew, pot roast and even chicken and dumplings, and they have all been delicious! Sometimes, when I just want to make an easy meal, all I do is throw in a rump roast, add a can of Coke, and a dash of salt and pepper. Set it on high for 4 hours, and voila! A yummy dinner with practically zero time spent in preparation. The only negative thing I could say about this particular crockpot, is that it does get extremely...
...
