After my trying to color my hair, at home, out of a box, I ran to hair dresser and cried, "I did it again." Every two years or so, I forget how damaging it could be to chemically treat ones hair without proper training.
My hair was wrong, wrong, wrong. The regiment was to first heal the hair so I could fix the color. A week with this Redken Color Extend Total Recharge Hair Care Conditioner and my hair was almost where it was before I managed to kill it.
Fixed the color and suck with keeping it healthy by using this product....

I have very dark hair, so the only thing I can really do is hi-lite it. But after I spend the money to get it hi-lited, it never really stays! It fades out so quickly. After trying many different products to extend the life of my color, my stylist recommend Redken Color Extend. I was a bit put off by the price, it was pretty expensive. After purchasing the shampoo and conditioner, I think it was close to $ 20.00. However, after using the products daily for a month, guess what? My color was still just as good as the day I had it done!

SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY and purchase this product! If you're going to spend the time and money to have it colored, spend just a little extra to make it last. This stuff works! It really did extend the color. Plus it is really good shampoo and kept my hair in good shape. It didn't get dried out like it sometimes does after a coloring. Also, it smells good too! (the shampoo, not my hair)

I am a Redken colorist. I have done hair for 22 years and can honestly say this is one of the best haircolors on the market for the money. I have used it for 15 years and love it. It is natural, conditioning and has predictable results. The reds last and the colors are not brassy unless you go to the wrong stylist!! Vickie...

This is advertised as the "inner hair fuel for color-treated hair". You spray on clean wet hair, and leave in. This product gives color treated-hair a shot of cuticle-reinforcing ceramides and vitamin E. It is touted as a conditioning system that protects, detangles and adds shine. But, my hair stylist recommended it for longer lasting color. And it seems to work for me! It is sometimes difficult to find if not carried in your local hair salon. But, the price is right for the length of time the quantity lasts (5 fl oz)

Ok, ladies...you spend alot of money at the salon to get our hair highlighted or colored, so when you get home do you use a shampoo that helps make your color last?

Well you should!! Don't throw your money away!

Many shampoos have a lot of products in them that dull your color and makes your hair feel heavy. Color Extend by Redken is the answer to keeping my highlights bright and perky! I love it. My color looks great and it lasts longer.

I used this shampoo on my daughters hair and her natural highlights POPPED out and looked fantastic.

Yes, it's a bit pricey, most salon products are but trust me, it's SO worth it! A little goes a long way. It doesn't take much to wash my very thick, semi-long hair. There is also a conditioner that lasts even longer, dime-size is all you need per wash.

I haven't tried any of the other Redken Color Extend products but I'm definitely going to. I am very happy with this product and recommend it to anyone who has highlights or colors their...
