editorneal says "Redi-shade temporary blinds are a good alternative." about Redi Shade Temporary Shades

The Redi-Shade temporary blinds are actually quite good. They cut easily to the perfect size (provided you are skilled with using a box cutter or utility knife and can draw a straight line), mount quickly and easily (make sure you line them up BEFORE removing the protective strip on the adhesive portion) and look great when they're in place. The clips work fine to allow you to open them during the daytime for light; one clip is sufficient at the bottom of most modern windows to keep them down.
Bear in mind I am writing from new construction, with nice, clean aluminum window frames to mount these to, and a lip at the bottom of the window frame that will accept the clip. Older homes with wooden sashes will probably present more of a challenge. But if you're in a newer home or apartment or condo, I highly recommend these. They also seem sturdy, although I don't know how they'd hold up in a home with an active or curious child (or cat.)...

nbatman says "Very Poor Mounting brackets..,Not safe Product" about Redi Shade Temporary Shades

I purchased 4 of Redi shades first time ( not the temporary ones). They come with two very poor quality plastic brackets for mounting the top flimsy hollow thin plastic rod. The rod bows under the weight of the shade. I called Redi shade. Very reluctantly they sent me 4 brackets to add one additional bracket in the center. The customer service had a very bad attitude.

Later on I went out and bought 6 more of these as I liked these , provided you use 3 brackets for mounting each of them, so that they do not fall down when you pull them down. I called customer service at Redi Shade to give me 6 more brackets so that I could use 3 brackets to mount each of these . They were very rude and told me that they can not provide the needed brackets to complete the mounting and I should just return them to the store I bought them from. So, I packed these Redi shades and returned them. In the process I wasted my time and gas!!!

My overall impression of cellular shades is : very poor quality and not......

MMTRVA says "instant privacy at low cost" about Redi Shade Temporary Shades

Whether your home is new or just new to you, you'll probably need window coverings. After settlement and the expenses of moving, cash may not be plentiful, but you'll still have to do something about all those windows. Redi Shades have been a lifesaver for us. We used the light-filtering shade in the wider (48") width in our bathroom. Three fabric Redi Shades went up in the master bedroom. Instant privacy! We did have to weight the shades temporarily to extend them to their full length (as advertised). We cut one pair to fit the two narrower windows in our living room, and we cut another pair for the French doors to the sunroom.

Be sure to measure carefully; you may need to use a stepladder to check the width of your windows at the top. Remember to record your measurements for use when you finally get around to ordering permanent window treatments.

Sorry, no real choice of colors: white, natural or oatmeal, or black. Also, although you can choose among light-filtering, room-darkening......
