Red Rock Canyon State Park offers science, nature and animals at it's very best!! Here, you can just take in the fresh air, sit back, relax and let the nice breeze coming off the mountains take you away to a Luscious wonderland of sorts!

Or you can walk deep into the valley and get a much closer view of what all the park has to offer!! The spectacular colorful mountains in all their glowing glory are beautiful enough. But with the open land and and wide spaciousness, you'll really get a feel of what it's like to be in one of nature's most enjoyable places!!

The vast array of graciousness here is truly something to behold!! You can grab a comfy place to sit and just take in the view!! Let the singing of the birds and the scurrying about of the small animals put you in another world all your own. This place can also be quite a stress reliever where you'll only think pleasant and happy thoughts. It will put you in a very calm and enjoying tranquility might have never experienced before!!...
...

Many people forget that Las Vegas is perfectly situated to serve as a base camp for exploration of some truly amazing natural wonders. We went intending to check out the Grand Canyon, but outside factors made that trip impossible. We decided, then, to take a day trip to Red Rock Canyon State Park, a beautiful place that few Vegas tourists even know about.

Only 15-20 miles away from the Vegas strip, Red Rock Canyon is one of nature's wonders. A visual and spiritual oasis in the middle of the Mojave desert. After a day or two spent on the Strip, the peace and quiet to be found at Red Rock Canyon is like manna from heaven. Protected as a state park, the landscape is immaculate - no litter, no buildings, nothing to obstruct or adulterate what God or nature or Mother Earth have done perfectly and beautifully. Just miles and miles of trails, mountains rendered a gorgeous shade of red by iron oxide (which occurs naturally), Joshua trees, wild agave, yucca and cactus, rock formations, and wildlife....
...
