These are the best vacuums in my opinion. They clean remarkably well and they don't spit out any dust while vacuuming.
...

turquoiseturtle says "Best cleaning Vacumn I have ever found" about Rainbow Model D4C Vacuum

I really gulped at the initial cost, almost 600.00, but after almost 14 years of use, has been worth every penny. it has a rug shampoo attachment, and can be used for wet and dry vacuuming. I also use it to thaw out my refrigerator and freezer with the heat exhaust end. Makes thawing these appliances easy, since i do not own automatic defrost. It does require a bit more space to store, but fits nicely in a small closet on the floor. It has several head attachments for both carpet, and flat floors, as well as upholstery, and tiny crevices, and a nice soft brush attachment I use for dusting furniture as I clean. It is a canister type that you use water in, so the water traps the dirt instead of it filtering in the air when you are vacuuming, or emptying the container when you are done. It does not save the back though, like an upright, but I am happy as a clam with this vacuum despite that. For long term, and environmentally efficient I don't think you can beat this....
