The Sound is Loud and the Unit had got Good Sensetivity. You can Store a lot of Things to Listen to like Police, Fire, Airplanes, Ambulances, Government Frequencies, Other Law Enforcement and many other Frequencies. Certain States have different Laws concerning Scanning and what You can</p><p>Listen to. Please Check Your State Laws if you Plan to Buy a Scanner as I enoyed it</p><p>and with this Radio Shack Scanner even more as I can Listen to much more than i used</p><p>to. This Unit does tend to have the Volume Freeze up Rarely and has to be Reprogrammed </p><p>which is not what I want to do but it isn't an Impossible Task. You can Hook up the Scanner</p><p>to Your P.C. and Program it through the Software. This may Save a lot of Work as i have</p><p>not tried it Yet as the Program is in DOS Format and Very Long and Needs a Steady </p><p>Typing Hand.
