When I first heard about these "healthy" snacks I thought they would have a snobby taste.

They are so pleasing, I was ready for another, but only one came free in my package of Quaker Mini Delights. I had to get more of that particular flavor!
...

I enjoy a good granola bar and I really like raspberries and dark chocolate, so I was very excited when I came across a free sample for Quaker's new True Delights Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond granola bars. I received my bar in the mail yesterday, right about snack time so I tried it right away. Upon opening it, I immediately noticed that it looked nothing like the pictures I had seen. The large pieces of raspberries were more like flecks of raspberries and although the photo on the website shows no less than 9 chunks of dark chocolate on the bar, I only found 1 on mine. I also only had 1 whole almond in the bar. Okay, so it failed in appearance, but what about taste? Remember the days when all granola bars tasted like cardboard? Apparently, so does Quaker. I was sooooo disappointed in the overwhelming grainy taste of this bar. I had been hoping to enjoy a granola bar with a "sophisticated" flavor and ended up feeling like I had just eaten a slightly sweetened piece of cardboard. Maybe...
...

Granola bars mark the beginning of most of my mornings during the week and like with other foods, I like to have a variety of granola bars from which to choose. One newer granola bar to hit the store shelves is one that sounds promising. It is Quaker True Delights Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond, a granola bar made with delectable ingredients.

Granola Commentary:

Quaker True Delights Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond bars are small bars that look like a typical granola bar. Like with most granola bars, one can easily see the rolled oats used in the process, but in addition, there are whole almonds, almond pieces, bits of raspberry, and small chunks of dark chocolate. The texture of these granola bars is chewy, but not excessively so, and the taste is generally good with a combination of oats, raspberry, nuts, and dark chocolate. The flavor is raw and natural, however, the bars also have a slightly- paper like taste.

Quaker True Delights Dark Chocolate Raspberry Almond bars are one...
...

CyndiA says "True Delights - Quaker energy bar is not a delight but not bad." about Quaker True Delights Dark Chocolate & Raspberry Granola Bars

I like both dark chocolate and raspberries which I called "rahz - buries" (and slow) as a child which inclined the family to get me to say that and to laugh even years later.

Quaker True Delights in dark chocolate and raspberries seemed a logical choice. After, the flavors are right in my taste-bud palate.

These snack bars are chunky with oats and almonds as well as the raspberries and chocolate. In fact, I'm suprised Quaker could bind so much stuff and keep it together.

As far as flavor, the True Delight bars are OK. They aren't great. They aren't bad.

The main taste I got was oats followed by the big pieces of almonds. Fortunately, I like both those flavors too. The selling point would be chocolate and raspberries, and I could only pick up a little of that. Had I been blindfolded, I don't know that I would have guessed those.

The chocolate, in particular, I'm sure adds more calories. I'm thinking these run around 140 calories per bar. Since I did not really notice the chocolate,...
...

These granola bars taste a little like raw oats with filling in the middle, they really don't have any taste to them at all, but they could be describe as tasting like cardboard, would not recommend this granola bar brand I will admit that the raspberry filling does taste very good, these bars are very chewy and contain almonds and contain no fat they have also added real dark chocolate. My family likes these bars, I personally will not purchase them again, I do however like the other varieties of Quaker Granola Bars
...
