I have two dogs. They are differnet breeds and differant sizes. They both live Purina dog chow. It makes my busy life easier that I don't have to feed them different kinds of food. One is adequate for the both of them....

As a pet owner of 4 dogs I have to say that Purina Dog Chow is the best value by far. When feeding 3 large dogs a and a small dog it truly helps to get a healthy and not to expensive for them. I purchuse the 25 pund bags. Purina Dog Chow is of a super quality full of nutriants and great flavor that all for of the dogs love. I to have even tasted it and its not to bad. When feeding 3 small bulls and a calf LOL, I want a dog foo that will provide theme with energy they need as well as the right amount of nutriants to keep them healthy and happy, Purina Dog Chow has an exceptional blend of healthy taste that my dogs have enjoyed and well continue to enjoy. I have tryed to feed theme other dog foods but they refuse to eat anything other then Purina Dog Chow and I will continue to make them happy with Purina Dog Chow, my hat is off to the good people at Purina.

The Purina Dog chow is some of the best dog food I have ever gotten. Not because it is really special in any way, but because the second I pour it into the dog bowls my dogs kill it. They beg for more every-time. With most every other kind of food I have to do something special (add milk, or a treat) to it or it won't get eaten. I like this dog food because it is inexpensive and easy to find. The biggest bag is about $20 at Walmart and lasts me for two dogs a month or longer. And believe me my dogs are not small. One is over 100 lbs. and the other who is just a puppy is at about 50 lbs. Purina seems to be the best that I can give them and though I do get other foods occasionaly I always have a stock of Purina in my cabinets in case they won't eat without me mixing foods. I guess the biggest positive about this dog food is that I never have to worry about my dogs digestive tracks, they rarely gey stopped up.

I would recommend purina dog chow for all pet owners who love there dogs as much as i do. Purina is a very good quality food for your dogs and my dogs love the taste. I have five dogs and they all love it. There is also an 800 number you can call and they will send coupons to you.

I have three mini-dachshunds and they all LOVE this food. I have never had any issues with sensitive stomachs or anything. I really like how this food keeps my dogs looking and acting healthy. I would def. recomend this food.

I have been feeding my two dogs Purina brand dog foods since we first got them each at 6 weeks old.We first started with purina puppy chow, and for the past 4 years our female has been eating Purina Dog Chow,we feed it to our male also he has been on it for 2 years now.We own 2 pitbulls a male who is 3 and a female that is 5. Our male has alot of health and alergy issues, but the Purina Dog Chow has always given him the best nutrients to help him maintain a healty weight and a shiny coat no matter how ill he may be at the time he still appears healthy thanks to Purina Dog Chow. I am impressed with the way that Purina has never differed from using the best quality of ingrediants in their foods unlike other dog food brands that somtimes will use cheaper, less healty ingrediants just to cut their costs but in the end the food is just fillers and mostly corn which can end up making your dog sick.While Purinas ingrediants are the healthiest for your dog, they still manage to keep their prices...

Our now 3yo boxer was doing pretty well on Purina One fromula dog chow until he was diagnosed last year with ostioarthitis. The vet put him on Purina's JM dog chow (a perscription formaula) which seemed to work great for him. We saw loads of improvement in his overall demenor and mobility! However, that food cost $80+ a bag. Coupled with other suplements and medications he's taking, we couldn't afford to continue that diet. So we opted for Purina's Dog Chow formula for its affordability and the fact that, like the perscrition diet, it is also labeled 'complete and balanced'. He has been on the food for 4 months now with DISASTEROUS results!!! His hair is falling out, he suffers from constant skin, ear, and eye infections, his nail quality is deplorable, he's back to limping and being depressed, and he smells awful. He never had anything but a mild odor before that was warm and appealing. But now his breath smells like he eats feces, and his body radiates this undescribable stench! Not to...

This food has nothing more than a whole bunch of additives, fillers, and junk. I would strongly urge dog owners who are concerned about their dogs nutrition and well being to steer clear of any of these types of local grocery store brands. Purina is one of them! Once I switched my dog off of this brand, her coat became shinier, her breath was no longer foul, her stools were smaller and less smelly, and she gained an overall better energy and health. Many vets will recommend these local brands because they work on commission and get bonuses for refering customers over. Please do your research and make sure you know what is going into your pet's food before putting it down in the bowl. Look at what the main ingredients are. Try to omit corn, byproducts, and look at the type of protein and where it lies on the list. The further down the ingredient list the chicken is, the less of it is going into your dog's food. Purina is just bad!

I am writing about Purina Dog Chow. I have used this product for as long as I have had dogs. I do not think that there is any other brand of dog food that is as good as this one for the price. I have two boxers and mini pin and I have tried other brands of food and alway come back to this one because it just seem to be the most beneficial for all of them. I do not feel like they are not getiing enough protien because this product has one of the highest protien contents, their coats are shiner, they are more satisified with this food because if fills them up and staisifies thier hunger. I had to put my mini pin on a diet because he was getting to big and my vet told me that Purina Dog Chow is one of the best to get him back into shape. I noticed that he has more energy and he did loose the weight that he needed to with out seemingly being hungry. Overall this is the only dog food that I would choose for all of my animals.

Purina Dog Chow Review

Purina dog chow is the only brand i use. My dog Duke whom was a 1 yr old pitbull, just had to be put down due to seizures. I always heard that poor food would cause this.So after he died i started feeding Dukes two puppies Puppy chow, and my girl dog eats dog chow. They are very healthy dogs. People come in and ask " how are your puppies growing so fast" i answer with , i feed them puppy/dog chow. of course every now and then they get some chicken or pork mixed in with it but i must say i will never switch dog foods again. My dogs really seem to love eating it as well. They dance around all over the floor before i serve them their bowls in excitement.

This dog food is an amazingly affordable dog food that works very well for my dog. We recently rescued my dog from a beagle rescue site and she has stomach allergies. We tried several different brands of foods, from very expensive to store brands. Our dog kept getting sick and was losing weight every day. When we finally found Purina Puppy Chow, we were amazed at how affordable and inexpensive it was. Our dog loves it and so do we. Now that she is older, we have switched to Purina Dog Chow, and have the same great results. We are able to buy a large bag at the discount store and it lasts her for months. She has returned to the weight she should be at, and a little higher. She is a happy healthy dog and we are so excited that we found the food that is perfect for her. We will never switch to anything else, and we always are telling friends and family about the great results that we have seen with the Purina products.

I generally buy my dogs premium brands but I was tight on money and time and I picked this up while I was at Wal-Mart. This food gave my dogs terrible gas which not only smells like diarrhea but the gas can also be signs of indigestion. My dogs also had loose light colored stool. I thought that this was just because the food was new to them but they still had the same issues a month into their large bag.

I've been feeding my three dogs Purina dog food for four years now. We obviously started out with Purina Puppy Chow and graduated to Dog Chow when they got older. My dogs are healthy and have never had any health problems. I was also relieved that during the whole pet food scare year before last that Purina wasn't a part of that recall. There are always coupons in the Sunday Paper for one to two dollars off Puppy and Dog Chow. I usually purchase the seventeen pound bag which is usually ten to twelve dollars depending on the store that you purchase it at.
