My dog Sally, a schnauzer mix, is very finicky about what she eats. She will not eat some treats even though they contain meat and look like meat. She likes Beggin' Strips though, she likes them more than anything else I give her, except for an occasional table scrap. I gave some Beggin' Strips to my brother's Rat Terrier and Poodle and German shepherd mix. They all loved the Beggin' Strips. You also can break them in smaller peaces for training your dog. Sally likes the Bacon and Cheese flavor and the Bacon flavor. I have not yet tried the bacon and beef flavor. Walmart does not carry the bacon and beef flavor. I usually get the 25 ounce because I know Sally will eat Beggin' Strips and I can save with the larger size. The strips have a smoky bacon like smell that dogs love.

Purina makes the Beggin' Strips. Purina is a brand I think can be trusted. Purina has been around a long time. Beggin strips are 15% protein. Even the finickyest dog will love them.

I have mixed feelings about these treats, Purina Beggin Strips. I am big on freebies, and I signed up and received a free full size bag of these in the mail. I have a 5 month old Maltese puppy and she loves these as a training reward or treat. I can break them into 5 servings from one strip, which was a plus. I do have concerns about the healthiness of these treats, and I prefer to just cook regular bacon without the nitrates and preservatives that are added into the Beggin Strips. On the other hand, they are so convenient and my puppy really loves them, so I find myself tempted to buy another bag. For now, I am resisting the temptation and urge to purchase and indulge my pet and am looking for a healthier alternative. Until then, when I want to treat her with bacon, she will get the real thing, but only occassionally.

The first thing that catches my eyes on the shelf, are PURINA's Beggin' Strips Dog Treats. I buy my dog some treats, to see if he would like anything new. In some cases, he does like them. However, he usually sticks with the Beggin' Strips. Not only do they come in different sizes, but they also come in different flavors, such as Bacon, Bacon & Cheese, and even Beef & Bacon. My dog absolutely loves them. He especially likes the Bacon and Cheese flavor. I'd recommend this treat to others!

I bought these Purina Beggin' Strips Dog Treats for my dogs awhile back, and boy did they go nuts! now every time they hear that bag crinkle they come running. I really like that it comes in a zipper bag to ensure freshness. The only downside would be that they are not very healthy and are pretty high in calories but they are nice on occasion.

A+ Product I would reccomend.

A BRIEF SCENE IN THE KITCHEN

     Dogs: Woof! Let's try these.
     Mom: Purina Beggin Strips are made with real bacon which means their ingredients include the not-nice preservatives sodium nitrite and BHA.
     Dogs: But Mom! They have a good strong smell that brings us running.
     Mom: They smell sort of bacon-y but with strong chemical overtones.
     Dogs: Arf. We could eat them until our tummies ache.
     Mom: They've got a lot of corn in their recipe. That doesn't favor a digestive system as delicate as Shelby's.
     Dolce: We don't want Shel to be sick. Arf-arf. Give them all to me.
     Mom: Who's going to paw Lynne the thank-you note for giving these to you?
     Dogs: Gotta go, Mom!

Dolce and Shelby would probably give this five stars. My compromise, on behalf of their health, just barely makes two. I can indulge the girls once, but I would never buy these....

My dog is very picky. I have bought just about ever dog treat. He will only eat these beggin strips. Not every dog likes them though. My friends dog will not eat them. I have a tip, cut them all in half save yourself some money....

Patches and Samson my twin 8 year old cocker spaniels love Beggin Strip treats! Each night they stand in our kitchen and stare at both my husband and I, in order to get our attention and to make sure that they are going to receive their treat. We have Beggin Strip treats and they are very happy to get this as a treat....

I recently rescued a dog from the pound and tried these dog treats for the first time. My dog loved them and the price was right as well. I would recomend Begging Strips to anyone who is watching their budget but also wants to spoil their dog a little as well.

Treats PurinaR Beggin' Srips 10 Pack- My dog likes these treats..

I like these treats because I can break the strips into 3 treats.My dog loves them, but the smell makes me sneeze so I rated it 4/5.for me.(it has a strong scent)

I buy these soft treats for our dog,I like them because I can break them apart and trow them up in the air and have him catch his treat because it is soft and wont hurt his nose or scare him if he don't catch it.So for us this is a fun treat for us.

I also like the fact that beggin strips also carry the mini's strip, or I just break the larger ones into smaller bit's to play.

If you've seen the tv commercial for this product, then you have seen my dogs! They absolutely love these things! As soon as I even move the bag, they come running. Beggin Strips have proved to be very effective as training rewards for my two 2-year old Beagles. They are a little expensive and smell almost sickeningly bacon-y, but all in all, I would definitely recommend them....
