Progressive is a good solid company that offers several payment options and outstanding claims service to it's policy holders. Progressive offers several online options for those who don't have time to visit their local independent agent's office. The flexibility of this company is amazing. In today's fast paced world, everyone needs a company with online features and 24 hour customer service as this company does. Progressive's rate are very reasonable, especially for those younger drivers or those in need of SR-22 insurance services.

The rates are cheap, but my declined bank account transfer was handled poorly.

When first creating a policy with Progressive everything seemed to go fine. I got my Insurance cards in the mail and thought I was good to go.

I received no emails that anything was wrong, and since I had my insurance cards I didn't think to log into the Progressive website either. Everything seemed good.

Then, *almost two weeks after starting my policy*, I got a "Rescission" notice in the mail (snail-mail, USPS) saying that my payment (bank account transfer) had failed and my policy had never started (I miss-typed my account number apparently).

WHY COULDN'T I HAVE RECEIVED AN EMAIL IN ADDITION TO THE LETTER, NOTIFYING ME THAT I WAS NOT INSURED MUCH SOONER?

What if I had gotten into an accident while that letter was in the mail?

Progressive claims to be serious about this "paperless" online thing, but relying on the regular mail for something important like this is ridiculous.

Be careful of their offer to give you a discount for using e-papers. They don't list this as a discount on your quote page but rather initially reduce all your premiums to add up to the same, giving you the impression that your insurance will be that much lower. This gives them an advantage over other companies' quotes. The next six months the bill comes higher. Very deceptive in my opinion.

I recently switched over to Progressive for my auto insurance from Geico. I am very happy with the coverage quote I was offered. I think the name your price is a great idea and I can bet that many other insurance companies will be implementing something similiar to stay competitive. I do not have the most expensive insurance coverage or the best coverage plan possible, but I do feel very confident and safe with what I have. The process of setting up the coverage was very easy.

I would recommend Progress because my monthly premiums are much lower than I had with Geico and my covereage is actually much better. I feel I am getting a great deal, the customer service team has always been very easy to work with, and my payment system was easy to set up and I have had no issue with them. I also am going back to school so the good student discount has really made a difference. I am thinking of buying a home soon and I am positive I will also get my home owners insurance through Progressive. ...

I switched to Progressive Insurance Company from State Farm about three years ago. The reason I switched in the first place is because State Farm increased my car rate by almost double for no reason, well other than greed. While searching for a new insurance carrier, I compared tons of different company's quotes. During all my searches, I noticed that Progressive consistently had the lower quote. The switching over process couldn't have been any simpler. I talked to an agent and had my new insurance in about 15 minutes. My new insurance cards arrived in just a few days. Also, about a year ago, we moved to a different state and I was able to switch my Progressive account over to the new state and ended up with a monthly payment that was actually cheaper than my previous Progressive payment. We now also have renter's insurance with this company and it do is a very fair price. You are also able to make changes to your account online and also find quotes for different things...

I have had car insurance with Progressive for 5+ years. Their claims department is very responsive, as I have had several people drive into me! They will help you process your claim paperwork quickly. They have an online chat feature, and their email responses are quick and actually answer your questions. I just re-priced my policy that was up for a renewal and got an even better rate! They are worth the price. I have gotten cheaper prices from other companies, but I was leery of using someone unfamilar to me.

This is a very great insurance company. I have been with them for some time now after searching through several companies. The rates are reasonable, and when I got into an accident, no fault of my own they were great in helping me settle my claim. Friendly and very helpful people....

Recently, we were hit with the storms of storms In Iowa. The Hail that came through damaged 3/4 of the houses and nearly every car was damaged, most to the point of being considered totaled. We had insurance through Progressive on both of our vehicles. The day the storm hit, we called Progressive to file our claim. Within 24 hours, we had received a call back telling us that the claim was filed and that a representative would be to our home to file a paper report.

I was impressed at the speed in which they were to our home. The lady that came out was from two states away. She drove to help us with what we would need to do to finish and close the claim. She accessed the damages, filled out the paperwork we needed and before she left, we knew what we were getting and when we would get the check sent out. She told us what would happen with the vehicles and what to expect next.

Because of her timely arrival, we were able to go out and replace the vehicles within 3 days. Progressive then...
