We purchased the ProForm Crosswalk Caliber Elite treadmill through Dick's Sporting Goods online site and got free shipping. For the price (about $500 at the time), I have been very happy. It was relatively easy to assemble but required 2 people for the job and I recommend assembling it fairly close to where you plan to leave it, as it is very heavy. The assembly instructions were not always very clear. The programs are easy to set and it moves smoothly as you increase the speeds and inclines. It is equipped with several distance and intensity programs. The built-in fan, with two speeds, is a great feature, as are the two sections that are large enough to hold bottles or iPods, etc. The arm resistance bars have to be set prior to your workout, otherwise you have to stop the machine to re-adjust. My only complaint is the pulse monitor; I don't think it gives accurate or consistent readings. It folds easily, although if you have any difficulty lifting heavy objects, you may want to......

If you don't like going to the gym, or don't have the time this is great. You can exercise anywhere in your house and even watch tv while you are doing it. If you are like me I don't have time for everything in my day so its nice to catch up on some tv while I am getting in some walking. It is easily adjustable so if you feel like you want to speed up or slow down at anytime it is easy to hit the buttons to do that. It is so handy to fold up and it isn't hard to pull around the house if you need to store it or move it to another room for any reason. I am not a strong person and I can get it out of the closet and pull the bottom down and exercise and put it back when I am done without any problem. It does have a really slow speed because our toddlers like to get on it sometimes in the winter and I don't want them to get hurt so I turn it down really low. I would recomend this for the price and value!
...

crosswalk caliber elite tread mill- Although it is a great exercise machine to use, It doesnt exactly take place of the real thing like walking beleave it or not it is up to you but walking a trail or in a neighborhood with hills and slopes will actually give you what you need. for those worrying about osteoporosis or even arthritis, the pressure applied when walking actually helps to keep what you need inside your bones, the stress applied to the joints from staying active will keep you helthy and mobile no matter what ailes you in these departments. But if your looking for cardio to boost the metabolism than this will seute you just fine....

Bought it on sale at Sport's Authority...great investment!. runs quietly and smoothly, inclines smoothley, has safety stop mechanism and those poles on the sides give you something to do with your hands. I wear wrist weights to maximize the arm workout. Plenty of easy-reach storage space for telephones, extra weights, TV remote & so forth. Only problem is, if you put a book on the book-rack, it blocks the fan so you can't cool off....

This treadmill is for those of us who do not run daily, enjoy watching tv, and just feel like losing a few pounds. I find that it keeps me motivated to see this treadmill in my room. It gets me to run. It gets me to exercise. I feel happy and content with this treadmill.

It fits well into any space in a room. All you have to do is fold it down and make yourself comfortable! Easy to work, easy to navigate, and a fun way to stay healthy!

If you have never owned a treadmill this is the one for you. Highly recommended.
...

This machine is great for all fitness levels. You can easily change the speed from walking to running. The only problem I've had with it is it is a little difficult to move the arms. And if they're too loose or too tight, then you have to stop walking to re-adjust them. But overall it's a great machine and I would recommend it....

This is one of the many treadmills in the Crosswalk series.

The Treadmill, Deck, Belt and Console: what you need to know

The maximum user weight is 300 pounds which is just about average for most of the home treadmills I see.

It measures about 66 1/2 inches long by 33 inches wide by 57 3/4 inches high. Again these are average dimensions for most treadmills especially those by ProForm.

The warranty is 90 days on parts and labor and 10 years on the motor. This 10-year warranty is one of the best if not the best put out by ProForm.

ProForm is owned by ICON, which also owns brands such as Weider and NordicTrack.

Unless you are very short the size of the deck and belt should be something you look at carefully. If one is too narrow or short it can make walking or running on it uncomfortable and even dangerous. The ProForm Elite’s belt is 17 inches wide by 52 inches long. The size of a belt should be at least 17 inches by 50 inches so this one just makes the cut in width. Seventeen inches is...

...
