Hi. I have decided to write and let all of you know about my Proctor Silex Coffeemaker model #43501. I bought this coffeemaker a few months ago when my old one "had to be put down." I bought my Proctor Silex because it is a name that I know and have trusted for many years. I have had other kinds in the past, but because I really need to watch my budget these days, the price of under thirteen dollars was just right. I like the fact that my that this coffee maker makes up to twelve cups at a time. I have a white one that doesn't take up a lot of my counter space. This coffee maker is easy to use with the number of cups clearly marked on the glass pitcher. It is a product that is also easy to clean. The coffee tastes great, never bitter. I also like that it has a auto/pause and serve feature. I have also given Proctor Silex Coffeemakers as bridal shower gifts because I know that they will always get a lot of use and that this brand stands up to the daily demand of a great coffeemaker.

I got a Proctor Silex Coffee Maker at Big Lots, after breaking my glass Carife on my old Coffe Maker. A lot of the expensive Coffee Maker's at Bed Bath & Beyond are made poorly and NOT worth the hundreds of dollars you have to pay for them, and I can't afford to buy a $600 fancy Coffee Maker even though I'd love a good quality affordable one.

So I'm a cost conscious buyer who wants something simple, i.e. can brew a pot of coffee when I need it. Unfortunately this Coffee Maker is crap, it's warmer rusted within weeks of use and it doesn't really keep the coffee hot. I usully have to warm up the coffee in the Microwave after a short period of time outside of the pot, so it's either suck it down fast or Nuking it for a warm up.

My previous brand was Proctor Silex as well which is why I went for it again, but it surely doesn't hold up to my older model and smaller cup producing Coffee Maker.

Great coffee maker but it is difficult to pour water except for slowly. You pour to fast and the water goes everywhere....

This is a great buy for the money, ten dollars. I have used it over a year and it's still working. I use it sometimes ten to twelve hours a day and it hasn't burned out yet. I would recommend this because of it's staying power. It will keep your coffee hot all day. It cleans up with warm soapy water. It has a stopper so you can sneak a cup before it's finished if you are in a hurry....
