It was a little more expensive than my prior ones but what appealed to me is this one was both programmable and did not have a carafe. I am SO tired of breaking, cleaning and pouring from those fragile glass pots. </p><p>The unexpected benefit (other than the ones sited above) is you use LESS coffee which is economical and the coffee is PIPING HOT. You can actutally see the STEAM coming from it. I can honestly say i have NEVER had a coffeemaker that made coffee THIS hot. My husband use to futher warm it in the microwave-- no longer needed with this one.  </p><p>The unit comes in white and black and is compact...</p>...
