I was very skeptical about Proactive at first. I finally tried it ater I just could not take it anymore. Everything I had purchased from drug stores was not making a difference with my face. After about a week of using Proactive, finally I started to see improvements. EUREKA, I could not have been happier. The refining mask is such a versatile product. I use it as a spot treatment and as a mask. It really clears up any spots that might appear within 24 hours.

Unfortunately I have very oily skin. As a result, I am always on the lookout of new products to try to try to combat the greasiness of my complexion. While watching the testimonials on television one day, I decided to give the Proactive Solution a try. Nothing else had really worked - so why not? Soon after it arrived I began using the daily cleanser and toner. I found these products to be just "ok" and still did not see the incredible results that they were touting on the tube. However, I then tried the purifying mask. Let me tell you, this mask is INCREDIBLE! Not only is it excellent at all around pore reduction and oil absorbtion, but it is fantastic as a spot treatment as well. If you dab the mask directly on a pimple, by morning the redness and swelling are gone. The mask has clearly changed my skin for the better. I am getting so many compliments and I tell people whenever I have the opportunity to give the Proactive Purifying Mask a try - it clearly IS a MIRACLE...

I absolutely hated the proactivsystem! I tried it on the first day, and my skin got a little better. as i kept using it my skin begin to get worst, everyday it got even worst! So i switched to the face mask only, and not only did it dry my skin out, i had more acne than before!

i really didn't like it! not at all.!

I have been using ProActiv products for years now and I feel I shold shed some light on the subject of their much loved product, the Refining Mask. I have used it on and off for years now, and really I am not impressed. It does do "something" per se, however it certainly doesn't provide the results that I wa expecting from ProActiv products in general. I have used itt at all times of the day and night, multiple times per day and night and yet I am really not impressed with the product. It does seem to make my skin seem a wee little bit softer but the desired result that I was expecting is fewer and lessened blemishes!!! That just doesn't seem to happen, no matter what I do! I have no idea what I am doing wrong, but I suspect that the problem is just that the product doesn't do what it promises to do! And OMG, nevermind the fact that it smells to high heaven!!!! It smells just terrible! And I am pretty tolerant to skin care products. If you have more patience, good luck and please let me...

i had seen so many comercials on tv for Pro Active and i figured what the heck. i've tryed many different acne products before but they just didnt seem to get rid of my acne. So i order Pro Active and used the three clensers and the refining mask. it seemed to clean my skin very well. i used it for about a week and i began to notice that my skin had started to break out even more then it was when i started. And then my skin started to get very oily. so i stopped using the cleaners, but kept using the refining mask, because that seemed to still be cleaning my skin... and after about two weeks my skin became clear and free of acne. As the commercial says you will see clearer skin, i did but it took about a month, and me going through rough spots, having the oily skin, but in the end my skin was clear and free of acne. I wouldnt recomend this product package, but i would recomend the refining mask by itself. :)

The Proactiv refining mask is my favourite skin care product. It's easy to use, it's fast and most importantly it works for all skin types. This product has changed my life. Now that i have a clean canvas I can put forth my masterpiece into the world. I've recomended this product to all of my friends and family and they all love it. You don't have to have bad skin to appriciate this products capabilities. You know when you have a really important date or meeting that your really nervous about and you can feel that zit getting ready to show it's big ugly face well with the refining mask, just put a dab where ever you need it and its gone by morning. Not only dose this product destroy zits but it works wonders on ingrown hairs girls you now where i mean. Don't ask how i found that out but i'm sure glad i did it's a life saver in the summer.

So not only is the refining mask a great product but you usually get it free when you order over the phone...

I struggled with mild acne on my face in my youth, but then it subsided until after college. At this time (for no apparent reason) I began to break out on my face again-- including my cheeks, which had never been an issue in the past. Luckily my younger sister (seven years my junior) was still in high school and my mother had purchased Proactiv-- including the refining mask.

In my experience, not only did it help to clear acne overnight when used in conjunction with the Proactiv 3-step system, but it also helped my skin to heal more quickly if I had been picking at it.

This is by no means a miracle cure, but if I feel as though there is a blemish under my skin and put this on for a night or two, more often than not it will not become a problem! After using it on my entire face for a few nights-- it dried my skin up a bit too much. A little goes a long way with it and just using it as a spot treatment has worked best for me.

I have tried many different acne products and none of them have worked for me until I tried Proactiv Solution. I saw the commercial advertising for the product and decided to order it. When the package came in I recieved the Proactiv Refining Mask for free! That was wonderful, I love free things! I use Proactiv Solution every day and every night and the Refining Mask once to twice a week. You are supposed to wash your face clean of makeup and keep your face damp and apply a pea size amount to your face and cover entirely. I leave my mask on for about 10 to 15 mins or until completely dry. Once I have washed it completely off my face, I feel fresh and my pores are hardly noticable! Since I have used the Proactiv Refining Mask and the Proactiv Solution my face has drastically cleared up. Once in a while I will get a pimple but most of the time my face is flawless. This product really works and if you struggle with acne I recommend using this product! It worked for me!!!

I purchased the proactiv system (without joining their club) and was pleased with the results. I saw no need for the refining mask though. It didn't do anything. It felt cool going on and felt somewhat refreshing, but had no effect on my skin. I was more worried about it clogging my pores.

I have noticed while using the proactive system. The best prouct in my starter kit was the refining mask. I never knew sulfer was an acne fighting agent till i recieved this product. It was really gentle on my skin and it never made my skin asdry as other products i have used.So, after using the exfoliating cleanser i used the mask and noticed a huge change in my complexion. My skin was brighter and clearer. The redness in my face from me "picking", instantly dissapeared. I loved this product the most, especially before a big date or going out with the girls, I just wash my face use the mask, rinse and was done. After using it, I had no need to use any foundations or powdery make up whatsoever. So, no more consealers of powders of ANYTHING! It was just my skin. It has really taken ALL the redness from my face and i no longer worry about using make up to TRY to mask my impurities. Now i am more confident about my face! Once you notice you complexion getting lighter brighter and clearer it...

This mask is a life saver! It clears acne over night, just dap it on that nasty pimple and go to sleep... When You wake up ... Wall-la! It last for a long time and doesn't over dry my skin. Its great when you have something speacial planed and your skin is broke out. Its a quick fix. I would recommend this to every one. If you have severe broken out skin than you can apply to your entire skin. It seems to be a great value because I use it quite a bit but it last me for months on just one little bottle. I love it, I love it, I love it! I just can't say enough about Proactive. Proactiv Refining Mask is diffenitly my favorite acne product. If your tired of the embarrasment of acne then you have to try this!...

I have been using Proactiv skin care for a few years. In the beginning it seemed to help keep me from breaking out. Now that I have been using it for quite a while it doesn't seem to do as good a job. The one thing that bothers me about their commercials it that they are selling the refining mask as a spot treatment for overnight! This is not the directions on the product and not what is was initially sold as. You are suppose to put the mask on your face for 10 minutes and then wash off. It looks like mudd, smells like sulfur and my ex-husband wouldn't come near me after I had used it because the smell stays on your skin. No where on the bottle did it say to put on as a spot treatment and leave on overnight! So I am wondering when the specifics of this product changed and I am not seeing the benefit of doing this. It doesn't work well. Mostly makes the pimples you have red and angry looking. I rated it as OK because it is hard to tell whether it does much or not. ...

This product really is amazing! You know, I've been using the Proactive system for two years now, and nothing else I've ever tried has worked better! This particular product, the refining mask, is what I use on problem blemished while I sleep, so that I can wake up to smoother, clearer skin in the morning....
