I have tried MANY MANY creams and products for my acne. My skin is combination-oily on the chin, nose, and forehead and drier on the cheeks- and it is a challenge to find something that provides balance to the different areas. Proactiv is the ONLY treatment system I have tried in my 29 years that has worked for me! Within a week or so of using this product once per day I noticed clearer, more smooth and soft skin. I also have large pores and it helps reduce the appearance of those as well. The directions suggest that you use the product twice per day but I've found that it dries my skin out too much so I only use it once per day. This also reduces the number of times per year that I have to purchase the product, which really helps out my budget! Also, another plus is that you only have to use a small amount of the product when using it. Just a dime-size (or smaller) amount will be plenty for you to use! This is a great product for anyone who has blemish problems. It leaves your face clean and ready to put on your makeup. It isn't time consuming for people on the go and it really does clear your face.

i purchased this item a couple months ago. It is in my opinion a good cleanser. however it is a bit pricey. i have had better resuls with store bought cleansers. it is good for acne sufferers,,i dont have acne but i have reddness and it dont do much for that

I like the results that I get by using Proactive. The cleanser is a great exfoliator, and the acne cream seems to work well. The Refining Mask is a life saver! I've never used it like a mask though. If you dab it on a zit at night, it will be gone, or at the very least almost gone in the morning. It really is a great product!

What I don't like about the system is that as soon as you order it, the people at Proactive automatically sign you up for delivery every 3 months. I would much rather reorder the product as needed then have them charge my bank account and deliver ithe system automatically.

Also, the toner that comes as part of the three step system does not work for me. I've tried to use it in conjunction with the other two steps a couple of times. Each time it makes my skin break out much worse then it was to begin with. I would like it much better if the kit were easier to customize, without changing the prices of the products.

Proactive is not a cheap acne solution, but it seems...

The Proactive 3-Step system is too harsh for my skin. I use the cleanser 2 times a day, and the repairing lotion at night only. If I use the toner or the repairing lotion more than once, my skin becomes VERY dry. Overall, however, the cleanser and repairing lotion work for acne control. I can't say that my skin is completely clear but when used regularly, it does help my acne prone skin.

Discouraged with persistent acne after the birth of my 2nd child, I took a chance & ordered the Proactiv system. It cleared up my skin considerably in only a matter of weeks. However, there were a few down sides:

* products stained my bedding & towels (I ruined several towels & pillowcases while using it!)

* when I did get a pimple, it was deep under the skin & was difficult to treat

* the products seemed to be less effective over time

* had considerable trouble un-enrolling in their autoship

I get occasional acne, but when I do, it's bad and it hurts. Proactiv makes it go away and stay away. I wouldn't join in on their club though, because they want to send it every 3 months and I don't go through it that quick. I only use it once a day, rather than twice a day. I would buy it from ebay or another source that is probably less costly also. I just realized how good it works when I ran out for a month or two. I broke out all of a sudden and as soon as I got my proactiv again, the acne went away quickly. I have to have it in the house at all times. If it's too costly for you , ask for it as a gift for Christmas. You will love it.

Well, i was very skeptical of proactiv until i saw a good deal on tv for the 3 step kit at $19.95 with a free gift of the green tea moisturizer. i bought it and tried the products out. i love each of them individually! :) The product last a long time and i do not need to use it as often as it says. the only thing i did not like about it is the automatic monthly shipments that you pay $50 for. i still have them but it s a little convenient that you can not order them at your own leisure. Also, there is the fact that the members price is more expensive than if you were to just cancel then reorder through the tv deals. So if i were you, and you were going to order proactiv, order, cancel and then whenever you are ready to order again then do so. It is just so expensive for members when it should be cheaper since we are already fans, we should be rewarded!! Other than the cost and automatic shipping proactiv is a great product you should invest in.

Proactiv's three-step acne solution program is fairly effective. The first step is a cleanser, which is personally my favorite part. I cleans out pores with microscopic beads and leaves the skin feeling really, really clean afterwards if done right.

Next is the Revitalizing Toner. It supposedly helps remove more oil and hydrate the skin, but I don't like it that much. It just leaves my skin shiney and greasy-feeling.

Then it dries out and you use the last step, the Repairing Lotion. This is a rather weak acne treatment that won't dry out the skin, but also isn't that effective.

Next time a buy Proactiv I will just get the Renewing Cleanser, and follow with a powerful acne gel that was prescribed to me by my doctor. The rest of the kit is not worth the money in my opinion.

The Proactiv website has a wide range of product selections, however, and you can get a kit with three cleansers instead of the three steps. As far as this 3 step...

I use it for bout 3 months no results at all just felt clean and thats about it.

They just use celebs just to make themselve look good actors lol.I USE CLEAN AND CLEAR NOW, but then again everyones skin different

I have had acne for years. Ever since I was about in fifth grade. I have tried everything out there from cleansers to soaps to pure rubbing alcohol. It does not help that my face is extremely oily either. So when my mom found and bought me Proactiv several years ago, I was thrilled with the idea of finally having clear skin. No more being called pizza face for me. Boy was I wrong.

I got the kit in the mail and my mother was billed $40 for it. It was a 3 month kit and another kit would be shipped out before this one ran out, in approzimately three months. It contained the Proactiv face cleanser, the Proactiv face astringent, and the Proactiv face moisturizer.

I used the kit religiously for several months. I knew that it would take a while for my skin to repair itself so I was not expecting a miracle overnight. I used all three products day and night, and always made sure to rinse my face well and wait for the astringent to dry before applying the moisturizer. But...

My daughter turned 15 and sudden she started the break out on her forhead then her cheek. We were not quite prepared of what have happened. I immediately seeked for the most affective anti-acne system which can do the job fast and effective. I bought Proactive for my daugther with a high hope that it will take away all the pimple as fast as possible. I expeced that in 14 days we would be able to see a big improvement and hopefully those acne will not come back again. But with a big disappointment , we hardly see any improvement at all. My daugther try for a month and then she gave up.I guess it just not for her!

Proactive is such a hype i can't believe no one thoguth of it sooner! I have bought this product and others for my teenage daughter and swear i can not tell the difference in her skin either way.

i think they did a great marketing job making it like a cultural icon for young people and my daughter is convinced it works better than anything else, but again i can tell no difference even after months of use.

one thing i can say is that because it so expensive and her friends all use it she is much more consistent about using it than other products. so maybe that's a benefit.

the one thing that really irks me though is that she willleave it laying around and her little bother gets it and pours it down the drain playing with it and that is like 60 bucks i will never see again.

i also got tired of them debitting my checking account randomly so i cut that off and finally told her she had to buy her own, turns out she uses it more sparingly and takes better care of this way.

I am 33 years old and have been troubled by acne since I was about 14. My skin partially cleared in my early twenties, and I had a bad breakout only once a month right before my period for years. After having my second child at the age of 30 the terrible acne I experienced as a teen has come back. My skin is terribly oily in the Tzone again, and I always have new breakouts. After suffering for about 2 years I broke down and decided to try Proactiv because a couple of coworkers told me it worked great for them. It worked great for me too, for about the first two months. Then the acne came back, the same as it had been. So I called the company to cancel my subscription and they sent me a free extra-strenght kit, which then ruined HUNDREDS of dollars worth of linens in my house. It bleached everything!!! Anything that can do that is not something I want on my skin, so.... I'm still suffering, but now out alot of money.

From the time my hormones kicked in at 12 years of age, I struggled with acne. I would search through every magazine for products that would cure my horrific skin.
