I was one of those people who got sucked into the Proactiv campaign. I must say that the commercials and advertisements were extremely convincing, and as someone with acne prone skin I really wanted great skin like in the commercials. The whole three step system includes a facial cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer. The system is expected to be used twice a day. When I purchased proactiv I ordered automatic delivery from their website, and it cost about 40 dollars a month or every couple months. The problem with this autodelivery is that it I got a new shipment what seemed like every other week, and I couldn't use it fast enough, and I ended up with many 3 piece systems left over in the sink. As for the product itself, it isn't bad. I would say it is average. The big reason why people see results is because the system works. I have found that if you wash your face, use toner, and moisturize twice a day, you will have clearer skin. It might not be reflective of the product Proactiv itself,...

Proactiv is played up way too much in the media and setting very high expectations/standards that it cannot always live up to. When I finally convinced my mother to spend her money and buy Proactiv for me, I was very excited and really thought it was going to work, well for me at least. When I first started using Proactiv it did not work very well right away so I thought I should give it time, months passed and finally I started noticing a slight difference but it was not satisifying enough for me to spend that money on it and I was using it correctly. After some more months passed almost a year, my skin started to feel dry. Sure enough my skin starting looking dry and became flaky! When it became so dry, my pores/skin would naturally produce more oil to keep it hydrated which caused even more acne. I know I am not allergic to anything and this also happened to many other friends of mine. It might work for some people but it did not work for me so I do not recommend it.

I've suffered from mild acne since high school but I found my solution within Proactiv 3 step system. It has really made dramatic apperance to the appeal and texture of my skin. I don't use it as describe anymore because I found that my skin started to feel a little dry using it twice a day everyday. i just use it once a day and my skin still looks fabulous. At one point I bought the oil-free moisturizer and it worked great!! My face was clear and moisturized but it did not make it oily. I also loved the mask that came free with my order. I use it all over my face sometimes to refresh it. It cleans out my pores and reduces their size. In addition, I use it for spot treatments whenever I feel a breakout coming...I put it on at night and my breakout is reduced in the morning!! Shipping is great! I just have it on automatic so I don't have to worry about re-ordering it when I run out. One thing is (which is not bad) but I don't tend to finish my previous order before the new order arrives....

The Proactiv 3 Step System is amazing! It is pretty simple, too. Every night, before you go to bed, you use the facial scrub, then use the toner, then use the medicated lotion directly on both acne and where acne is about to start. It seems to work over night and is amazing, amazing, amazing! I don't know what I would have done without it. I love you all! Stay Fierce! 900 words is too long! I don't have that much time...are you crazy?! Buy Proactiv! It will bring you to tears! I love love love love it! I love it so much that I am going to repeat myself. Day 15 2009 Summer

A young man is interested in using. the product proactiv 3 step solution this young

man is my son. Who you are and who you choose to be carries a large amount of

weight. Your apearance is everything skin, hair, teeth, nails so on and as I was

saying my son became interested in proactiv,because he has acne and was seeking

solution that truly lived up to it,s word. I can, how ever see a change in his skin but,

would like to see more a lot more to see improvement procativ. and a supply that caters to different groups of people at this moment still analizing the product

I will do complete a study after the soluiton is gone to see if, there is substanial

amount of improvement for my me and for my son. this is my review.

When I was using Proactiv the instructions mentioned that I would see results in about a week. I noticed very little improvement on my face by the 3rd week. After that my face just got worse. The acne spread to areas I didn't even have acne. My skin got red and dry. Before I started this treatment I didn't have oily skin and during the treatment I had very oily skin. It said to do the treatment every other day if that would happen but my face was still the same. I even used it every other two days. I had started off with once a day and found that very irritation. My skin started to feel very dry. I stared peeling and flaking. When I would put my make-up on my skin was peeling and looked very dry. I was very disappointed with this product. Some of my other friends had the same results. The product said it was for all skin types but I guess not for mine. I was wondering if any one has had the same results.

Finding the advertisements everywhere I turned, be it radio, television, and even internet ads, Proactive sounded just what I needed. I have been plagued with blackheads, whiteheads, and the occasional cystic acne. I am 33 years old a mom of 2 girls, who doesnt have time for this nonsense, my acne is supposed to be gone!!

I signed up for the introduction package, at $19.95 it came and I started the system use cleanser, moisturizer and spot treatment at morning and at night. Seemed simple enough. They tell you that you wont really see any results until you use it for several months, but that you can see a slow regression of your acne. I received the second shipment, which was not explained would cost upwards of $50.00 and would be auto shipped. Since I still had some of each from the introduction shipment, I am guessing that I was not using enough of each product. I started the second shipment as soon as I emptied the first set of bottles. I still saw NO results, not a lessoning...

When I first started to use Proactiv I was really optimistic that I would get good results. The first 6 months I saw a lot of improvemetn in my skin and I started to feel like I had found a solution that I could live with for the rest of my life. After those first six months though I started to break out again, my skin became really dry and very easily irritated. I was hoping it was just a temporary set back, but for the next two years I went through periods where my skin looked wonderful, these periods usually lasted only a couple of days though, and then I would have weeks where I would break out and my skin would be embarassing. I tried other acne treatements to see if anything else would work, but nothing worked at all, so I ended up staying with Proactiv because it gave me the best results out of everything else, but it did not cure my acne at all. The only reason I haven't tried anything else is because I cannot afford to see a dermatologist.

I first began using Proactiv when I was a teenager in high school. The product was a miracle worker at that time and I used it all throughout college and into grad school. I had no complaints at all about the product itself; it was the cost that eventually made me give it up.

A few years past and I had adult acne fairly often and all over. After using several different over the counter products, I decided to go back to Proactiv. The cost was a real concern (especially when they tack on 7 bucks for shipping) but I remembered my good experience before.

After 2 months now of using the product, I do not see the remarkable difference that I first saw in high school. Perhaps it is just getting older and hormone changes, but it seems to be taking forever to clear up my skin. Part of Proactiv's marketing scheme is that they say it will "prevent acne from surfacing". I have not found that to be true. I get just as many break-puts as I did before using it, they just don't last...

I purchased Proactiv Three Step trial pack four months before my wedding. I have "stress bumps" for the most part and blackheads. YUCK! So I wanted a clear face for my wedding, as does every bride. I started the system and ended up basically with a chemical peel. I called support and they tried to sell me more products. Cleaner products not moisterizers. The supervisor informed me to cut back to every other day. I did so and still ended up with peeling inflamed skin. I called once again and was informed to purchase more cleansing products. I asked specifically if they were for sensitive skin and the person on the phone stated that she did not know. That she just sells the stuff. I would have chalked it up to one bad support person if I hadn't gotten that response from the second support person I called. This product, with all of its advertising is not for everyone. I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but this product made my skin terrible. It took the two months before my wedding...
