arimoonchild says "The Vibe is an excellent automobile, but not that great in snow." about Pontiac Vibe - 2007

My husband and I decided on a Vibe because we needed the room for camping gear, but I didn't want a huge car. I like the ability to fold down all the seats, giving us plenty of room for furniture, christmas trees, camping gear (not all at once), and any other items I would NEVER have been able to fit in my old Malibu. It drives smoothly and gets great gas mileage. I have three big complaints though. First, the headlights are not very good. They don't cover enough area to see well. Second, strong winds knock the car all over the place. I've learned to compensate, but it is annoying. Third, and most important, is that this car is HORRIBLE in snow. The first winter I had it, if the snow on the road was thick, it would start sliding into a 360 for no reason. I ended up putting two huge bags of cat litter in the back, and that helped. Snow also tends to get really packed in the wheel wells, which may have contributed to the spinning issues. I still love the car, but...
...

I just bought my Pontiac Vibe. I enjoy it because It's like a station wagon. I have lots of roomand i sit higher up so I can see on the highway better. I also get very good gas milage. I would recommend this car to almost everyone, especially a family with a couple of children or a commuter like my self. The seating is very comfortable. I travel almost a hundred miles a day and never get tired of driving back and forth. I also havn't had any breakdowns on the highway. I would reccomend this car to everone....

I thoroughly enjoy driving this vehicle. It is responsive and peppy, has great gas mileage and is comfortable inside. My dog loves it too. I can go shopping and fill up the back part with groceries, etc and still have the backseat for my dog. It's good on the road in winter and I live in Wisconsin. Took it on a 2000 mile vacation and was comfortable and kept thinking how much the trip would have cost in my old gas guzzler SUV....

jan1966 says "great gas milage, great ride, loads of room!" about Pontiac Vibe - 2007

I now have the car small car I have always looked for. The Pontiac Vibe is just the right size to get around in traffic and be able to park easily. It gets fantastic gas milage (34 mpg) which is a plus when you have to drive every day. The back seats folds down for extra room to carry all kinds of things. My husband uses it to go to the hardware or lumber yard. It is comfortable ride and good leg room in the back seat. A must for us as we take my parents alot. I personally like the sporty look of it and the way it handles in all kinds of weather. This will be a car I will keep for many years and if they are still around get another one....

This was the most cargo capacity to dollare ratio that I could find , so the initial cost was right. The fuel economy is a real plus for keeping this amount of carrying capacity into the future affordably. There are many plastic components inside and out with this vehicle, The front canopy fell down in the first couple of month because a support broke and some button poped out. The plastic hinge on the arm rest broke the first day. None of these were fixed by my dealer....

The Vibe is my first car in a long time. I have been driving a Durango and got sick of the gas mileage and size. This car lets me have fun driving again, has lots of interior room for shopping trips and with the fold down seats, so much fits inside. Gas mileage is great and it sure is nice not to spend $65 to fill the tank once a week....
