I used these bottles Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles three years ago with my first child and loved them. I purchased more this past November because I wanted the BPA free with my second child. It was a huge mistake and dissappointment! I have had nothing but problems with the same bottles I used three years ago. The ounce markings have worn off after three washings, and they leak from the bottom constantly! What a big mess it causes. I did call playtex about the markings and they have had lots of complaints.from other parents/grandparents. They sent me three coupons for $7.99 and a free three pack of bottles. Once I send my old bottles back to them they will send me three more $7.99 coupons. I thought that was great customer service but I think I'm going to switch over to the Playtex drop ins because they do not leak and the numbers do not wash off, however the nipples are still the same which I like
...

I have used these bottles with both of my children and i will not use any other bottle. It works excellent!!!!! My kids have never had a problem with gas. It is very easy to clean because it comes apart on both ends but they can also go in the dishwasher. . It was also very easy for them to learn how to hold their bottle since it had the bend. They can interchange because all parts can go on each other. For the quality you get out of it it is worth what you pay so you get your money's worth out of it. You also know the product is working because when the air is flowing out of the bottom you can hear it very faintly. I would recommend this product to anyone who has or is planning to have children. You will not be dissapointed..It...
...

I used these bottle with my son 10 years ago and with my other son 6 years ago so when I found out I was expecting again I went and and got some more of these with out a second thought. However do to the change in plastics in bottles these day the new ones had a cloudy look and softer colors. I didn't think to much it. when I went to eah them for the first time I noticed the they were built complety diffrent than they used to be. With the diffrent bottom seal I somtimes have a hard time getting it to sit just right and it leak all over the place making a huge mess. the problem is easlit corrected most times but not befor I have lost half the bottle. The other thing is that the smalller 6 oz bottles LOST ALL the measurement markings the first itme through the washer GRRRR thinking I had a defective batch I went out and got another set only to have to have the same thing happen again. not wanting to throw them away I just used a standard bottle to meaure the water. I did however write to...
...

I bought these prior to my son being born because of the reviews that I had read on them. We started out just using some of the bottles that we had just a mix but our son was spitting up a ridiculous amount. So I decided to make an effort in changing the bottles and not just grabbing what was around and got my husband to do the same. After we switched it was amazing at the difference. These bottles stay together well they did not give us any problems leaking and they come in so many different stages and colors they were just great. We ended up getting rid of all the other bottles besides these and the drop ins which worked great as well. It is worth the money it cost for these and I like them better than the Dr. Brown bottles because you don't have to completely assemble the straw thing and the ones that I had used leaked for us so I giv ethe Vent Aires a huge thumbs up I highly recommend these.
...

kalhuli says "Pros and Cons ot Platex Ventaire Bottles" about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

I started using the Playtex Drop-Ins, but then realized that I didn't want to constantly be buying the liners when I could just buy a bottle and wash it, meaning the cost would only be the initial cost of the bottle itself. These looked interesting and I liked the idea of them preventing gas in the baby's tummy, so I bought three of the wide nipple kind. I liked them until all the measurements wore off, which was after about three weeks, so then I used electrical tape to mark the 4 oz., 6 oz. and 8 oz. lines. Then bought three more and immediatley marked the measurement lines. I have been using them for over 9 months and have not needed to replace the nipples, but some of the bottles have started to leak. I find, though, that if you thoroughly dry the bottom and the vent and carefully fit them together, it stops the leaks.

Hope this was helpful!

Ventaire bottles take the pain away from buying drop-ins, but sometimes leak if you try to put them back together when they are stil moist from washing or you don't assemble them "just so". It takes getting used to, but they are by far easier and more hygienic than the bulk of gas reducing bottles.
...

My daughter has reflux as a baby so we bought the Playtex Ventaire bottles to try after a family member suggested them. They are supposed to prevent gas and spitting up because the air is "vented" out the bottom of the bottle. I did not like these bottles from the first time we used them. The first day we had them, one of the bottles leaked from the bottom and made a huge mess everywhere. They are very hard to wash well and get clean because of the angled neck towards the top of the bottle. We used them for a week and I did not notice any significant improvement in how often my daughter spit up or had gas pain compared to any other bottle we tried. They are BPA free now, which is a defnite plus but most plastic bottles are anyways. You can also only use the Playtex VentAire nipples that are specially made for these bottles and they are pretty expensive. We got rid of them after a week and switched to the Playtex drop ins.
...

I bought this Playtex VentAire standard bottle around 6months back. I chose this bottle from walmart coz this was angled perfectly and promised to control bubbles. Now this bottle can be opened from the bottom and the valve in it can be removed. Now everytime i take it and clean the bottle and fix it back i have to pour water and check if this is leaking from the bottom. And trust me there is not one time i had to open the bottle and reposition the valve again. Inspite of all these efforts too the milk does leak almost 50% of the time. It jst keep dripping from the bottom. Now what i see is that the valve has developed some lumps and looks totally disfigured. So this means the valve is not healthy for a child. I have given it rating 2 coz i could atleast use it for 6months inspite of the leak, but this strange thing seen on the valve has totally turned me off for the whole brand as such. VentAire as promised yes is effective but that at the cost of all the milk leaking from the bottom....
...

I purchased the Playtex Ventairs for my daughter after switching formulas many times and still dealling with spit up. These bottles helped so much. The only draw back to them is all the pieces that have to be washed. It gets alittle tiresome washing the little valves and such. Also have had issues with the valves leaking every now and again. Not all the time but occasionally.

As my daughter has gotten older she has figured out how to unscrew the bottom of the bottle. Which you can imagine is very very messy.

I would still recommend these bottles for anyone that can not find a way to stop the baby spit up problem. They will notice a difference right away!

We had tried the Playtex Drop in bottles and they also helped but you had to buy the inserts and that really started to add up when you have a newborn taking a bottle every two hours or so. So thats when we switched to the Vent airs.
...

Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

I have been using Playtex Ventaire standard bottles; they are BPA and Phthalate Free. The bottles have helped to reduce gas, spit up and colic and also helped prevent ear infections. Its a good product but the measuring numbers on the outside of the bottle come off pretty easy. There are occasional leaks but they don’t if you put them on right or if the disk is not put on the right way is what I later noticed. We will buy these bottles again and this time I might just get the 9oz. ones. My son just loves them!!
...

The playtex air vent bottles are the greatest bottles. They are angled, they have the silicon nipples that come in stages, slow flow and faster flow. They have the screw off bottom with the air vent that allows air to flow through so that the bottle has less air bubbles which means less gas for baby. My babyies had no problems holding this bottle and I never had any problems with the nipples colapsing. They do not leak (unless baby learns to squeeze the nipple, which is when it is time to take the bottle away !). When my baby was 3 months old he would stop breathing because he had acid reflux. The doctor said to put cereal in his bottles to help hold the formula down. It would not go through the regular nipples and if you make the hole bigger it will just pour out, but if you buy the medium or fast flow the cereal and milk come through with ease. Also, you can hold it upside down and no spills. You do have to replace the nipples after some time though, but I only had to buy...
...
