Paytex Ventaire bottles are great for keeping air bubbles out of little bellies. My son has a hard time eating because he eats so fast the air bubbles were causing him to get very bad sick. He was throwing up his milk and choking on it so bad he could not breathe. We tried the NUK and Dr. Brown bottles that were supposed to be good for air bubble reduction and they made him twice as sick, finally we've bought these and it's about 90% better. He does need a medium flow nipple now, but it is not offered with this bottle type, thats the only downfall....

I GOT TO TRY THESE BOTTLES FOR A PRODUCT STUDY. I HAVE ALWAYS USED THE REGULAR PLAYTEX DROPINS AND HAVE LOVED THEM. SO I WAS EXCITED TO GET TO TRY THESE. THEY REALLY DO EASE THE GAS AND SPIT UP BUT YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL OF THE PLASTIC PIECE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE IF IT IS NOT COMPLETELY DRY OR EVEN GETS SLIGHTLY NICKED IT LEAKS LIKE CRAZY. I GOT THE STARTER PACK OF 3 BOTTLES AND MADE SURE TO WASH THEM VERY CAREFULLY. BUT WITH IN A WEEK ONE OF THE PLASTIC PIECES THAT GOES IN THE BOTTOM OF THE BOTTLE HAD GOTTEN DAMAGED AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW. THE PLASTIC IS SO THIN ON THE PART THE COVERS THE HOLES. OF COURSE I DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS LEAKING UNTIL I WENT TO PULL THE BOTTLE OUT OF THE FRIDGE DOOR AND IT WAS EMPTY AND THE WHOLE SHELF WAS FILLED WITH FORMULA LOL. JUST BE VERY CAREFUL!!
...

I should have listened to the reviews. I tried these bottles after using the Platex bottles with disposable liners. These gave my baby more gas! They also leak! Also, Beware! These bottles only reduce gas if you fill them to the top! It is also true that the ink on the bottles rub off. Don't waste your money! Buy the Playtex bottles with liners if you are concerned about your baby having gas! These are not as effective!
...

I HAVE USED PLAYTEX BOTTLES WITH BOTH OF MY CHILDREN. HOWEVER THE ONES I USED WITH MY FIRST CHILD WAS THE STANDARD PLAYTEX ONES AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THESE BOTTLES THEY WERE GREAT THEY DIDNT LEAK OR ANYTHING AND KEPT BABY LESS GASSY. HOWEVER THE PLAYTEX ADVANCED ONES ARE NOT GOOD AT ALL. THEY LEAK AND IF YOU PREFILL THE BOTTLE BY THE TIME YOU GET WHERE YOU ARE GOING YOU DONT EVEN KNOW IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE ENOUGH MILK LEFT TO FEED YOUR BABY. AND WHILE YOU ARE FEEDING THE BABY THE MILK RUNS OUT THE BOTTOM ALL OVER YOUR HANDS. NOT GOOD AT ALL. THE DISC IN BOTTOM DOESNT SEAL. YES THESE STILL COME IN THE CUTE COLORS LIKE THE OLD ONES BUT NEW DOESNT MEAN BETTER. THEY NEED TO BRING BACK THE OLD STYLE IT WAS A MUCH BETTER BOTTLE AND THE OLD SAYING GOES DONT FIX SOMETHING THAT ISNT BROKE. THESE NEW ONES NEED TO BE WORKED ON BAD. THEY NEED TO BE REDESIGNED ALL TOGETHER. I NOW USE THE EVENFLO BOTTLES. THESE ARE A GREAT ALTERNATIVE THEY ARE ANGLED TOO AND DONT HAVE ANY PARTS BOTTLE IS ALL ONE...
...

I have used the Playtex bottles with all three of my children. The bottles I used with my first two children were Playtex standard bottles and I loved them. They never leaked, the nipples were great and they were very durable. When we had our thrid child I went straight for the Playtex bottles. Unfortunately I could not find the standard, I could only find the advanced. At first they were pretty much the same as the standard, but within a few months of use the nipples became unusable. I had to buy several replacements. My child would suck on the nipple and the opening would get bigger. So big that she would choke while she was drinking her formula. I would have to replace them about every 3-4 weeks. It was cheaper than buying all new bottles. I do like the angle of the bottle, it made me feel that it did help my children have less gas. Overall I liked the old bottle, but not the new ones.
...

I got rid of all my Dr. Brown's bottles and switched to these. With the Dr. Brown's my son spit up after every time he ate. With these VentAire's, the spit-up completely stopped. It was amazing. The only problem I do have with these bottles is that the numbers on the side of the bottle rub off very easily and there's 4 pieces to this bottle. Kind of a hassle to wash when you're a busy person.
...

my poor baby had a rough start, and after having to discontinue breast feeding and go to formula i went through a number of different bottles before chosing playtex ventaire advanced. the little guy was a huge spitter and very very gassy all the time, even after being burped a dozen times following a feeding and several times during. after switching to the playtex ventaire advanced bottle the gas and spit was greatly reduced. the bottles are bpa free and come in clear bottles with pleasant pastel colored rings. the bottle features a vent system bottom which is a silicone part inside a ring with holes that screws on the bottom to allow the air to escape the bottle so baby swallows less air. all the parts can be easily removed for washing. the bottles are also angled and come in standard or wide. the wide is supposed to be for babies transitioning from breast. the only problem i did have with the bottles is the numbers for the ounce markings started to wash off with frequent washing. i called...
...

I think playtex vent air is an good bottle to use.
I previousley purchased the regular ones and loved them, but my daughter would not latch onto the regular nipples so I purchased the wide ones with natural latch nipple ans she does great, never has gas and barley has gas!!! Great Item!!

But the only thing I dont like bout them is I noticed everytime I washed them the measurements was fading off and I think since they are good quality bottles it shouldnt be doing that.
The Playtex VentAire Advanced wide bottle system is now 100% BPA- and Phthalate-free. VentAire Advanced is clinically shown to reduce gas, spit up and colic as well as help prevent ear infections. The new and improved silicone vent allows for an improved flow rate, making it easier for baby to drink. The wide nipple with a raised textured area is designed to make it easy for baby to switch between breast and bottle.
...

Playtex overall has done a good job on it's Ventaire brand bottles. I've used them for over 3 years now. They do a great job on being gentle to my baby's stomach, there fabulous at that, But the bottle comes apart in 5 pieces, so when trying to re-assemble them after washing can sometimes be a pain. They don't exactly just go back where there supposed to, (say with inserts in spillproof cups), I found the original Playtex Ventaire bottles had fewer mishaps over the years, than the new Playtex Ventaire Advanced bottles. If the bottom silicone piece isn't in there all the way it will just pour out the bottom. It has happened to me over and over again. I should know better by now,but sometimes you think it's lined up just fine, untill you see a empty milk bottle and a soaked diaper bag when you go to give it to your screaming baby while out somewhere.I usually have to put all the bottles back together and test them before using. I have to line them all up, fill them with water and...
...

As a new mom, I will admit to being completely overwhelmed with all the different products out there for babies. It is a daunting task to find a product that is safe, works for both you and your child and at the same time is practical. I walked into a store and had no idea what I should be purchasing for my baby. It was then that I realized the only way to find what I like was to try a variety. This led to the many trials and errors of what I like to call the baby bottle chronicles. While I won't name the numerous bottles that I didn't like so much, I will say that the Playtex Ventaire Advanced bottle has been a lifesaver. Not only did this bottle help to reduce gas, colic and spit up, but it is practical as well. It is easy to clean, which is more than I can say for some of the others, and it is reasonably priced. While not the cheapest bottle, it was priced in the middle of the road. At Target a single bottle runs about $5.24 while a three pack is around $14.99. ...
...

I am really torn about these bottles. I really like the idea behind them, my son really has had no problems with the bottles. They are great! However, they are a pain to assemble having to correctly put together and wash 5 pieces per bottle is a lot!

The numbers have also washed off the bottles. We have had to put small pencil marks on the wall to hold the bottle up to and measure.

Playtex Customer service was awesome about my issues, they replaced my bottles and sent me coupons to try other Playtex feeding products. Now I go between these bottles and the drop in's. I really enjoy both!
...

Nannygirl27 says "This bottle definately helps with spit up but has some drawbacks" about Playtex Ventaire Advanced Wide Baby Bottle

I am a first time Mom and I thought the Playtex Ventaire Advanced bottles looked like they would be a good bottle. They stated that it would prevent gas and spitting up because of the air that was able to flow through so I thought I'd give it a try. Well, I have to say that my son, who is now almost 7 months old, has not spit up very much. I do believe it is because of these bottles, because when we tried a different one, he spit up. So in that area, these bottles are great. The only annoyance about these bottles is that they leak. There is a plastic ring you put in the bottom of the bottle and sometimes, I believe when the formula is warmed, that seems to get loosened and you end up with a lot of formula on your lap. It would leak in our bottle warmer, so that is why I think it happens when the formula gets warm. My husband and I just warm up the formula in a different bottle and then pour it into Playtex one . We also make sure the plastic ring and the bottom of the...
...

i would definitely recommend the wide angle playtex ventaire bottle!!! this bottle helps with baby's gas and spit-up. the air that the bottle releases helps reduce the amount of air baby actually takes in when feeding. the wide angle nipple resembles mom's nipple and makes baby feel more comfortable feeding from a bottle. i tried numerous types of bottles with my first child to transition from breast to bottle and this was was the only one that worked!! my second child transitioned even easier than the first with this type of bottle. the bottle cleans easily and washes great in the dishwasher. there are no gimmicks with this bottle...what you see is really what you get. the key to a fussy baby is getting them to feed comfortably. the bottle is easy to read for the amounts being given. playtex has many different types of bottles, but this one proved to be the most functional and alao the most practical, which is very important.
...

I am torn on the Playtex VentAire Advanced bottles. I really like that the shape of the nipple is similar to that of a mother who is nursing, so it is excellent to use for mom's who pump or switch from nursing to formula. I also love the angled shape. It makes bottle-feeding much more comfortable for the baby. This is the only reason I buy these bottles because there are some other aspects of this bottle that are very frustrating to me. One of those is that the measurement readings on the side that show how many ounces of fluid are in the bottle rub off, so be careful when handling and washing so that they print will last a little longer. Also, when you screw the ring that holds the nipple onto the top of the bottle, you have to do it just so. It doesn't settle on its own into the right thread. The best thing to do is to twist it backwards until it settles in the correct thread and then twist it forward to tighten. Another slightly frustrating thing is that I have bought...
...

I am a first-time parent and we tried several bottles for our baby. Our favorite by far is the Playtex Ventaire Advanced. We have the wide size. Our little girl had problems with reflux and gas and we could definitely see a difference when using this bottle compared to others we tried. One of the biggest annoyances with other bottles was the nipples collapsing. We were constantly having to pull the bottle out of her mouth to let air back in the bottle. This problem was solved with the Ventaire system. Air is automatically vented in through the bottle as the baby sucks. Brilliant! No more collapsed nipples.

Another nice feature is that everything comes apart for easy cleaning. The vent seal, bottom and top collar and nipple all come apart allowing you to thoroughly clean everything. We typically washed all the pieces in our dishwasher and nothing happened to them. I would highly recommend this bottle to others!
...
