greenmommy708 says "A pretty good bottle" about Playtex Drop Ins Baby Bottle

The Playtex DropIn bottles are pretty good. You can get either a slow flow or fast flow nipple to accommodate your baby's growing needs, so that's helpful when the babies are old enough to gulp down eight ounces in seven minutes. The thing that bothers me about this bottle is that its an eight ouncer, but when you add eight ounces of water to the formula powder, it overflows. If you're going to make eight ounces of formula in here, you have to use the ten ounce bottle liners, and I haven't found a generic for these. So you end up having to buy Playtex brand, which is more expensive of course. But even the ten ounce liners aren't big enough to really hold the water plus the powder. Does this make any sense? Then when I go to shake it up, the formula leaks out the threads of the coupler and now that these bottles are a little older (have been used a total of about ten months between two kids) they're also leaking in between the nipple and the coupler. Its not a big enough problem to...
...

bkglamourchick says "so clean and sanitary" about Playtex Drop Ins Baby Bottle

We did not use these bottles with our first two children as we were turned off by having to buy liners and "put the bottle together". When our third baby was born she was VERY fussy righ from the begining. She was a small baby, 5 pounds when she was born and had a lot of feeding problems. We tried many different formulas and bottles. At first we thought that it was an allergy to the formula- she would scream for hours until it was just about time for the next feeding, and she was really gassy. Finally we broke down and decided to give these bottles a try. They are a life saver! No more sleepless nights due to gas. At 6 weeks old she is now a completely different baby. She is happy, rarely has gas AND she eats more too (because her belly isn't filled with gas). This one is important as she was a small baby and had some catching up to do. I don't know what we were thinking, these bottles are so easy to use, we never have leak problems like we did with so many other brands. And the best part...
...

ambelle0728 says "Definitely my favorite" about Playtex Drop Ins Baby Bottle

I got two sample bottles of the Playtex Drop Ins, and I was reluctant to use them at first because I didn't want to have to deal with the liners. However, once I started using them I fell in love, and so did my daughter. She'll still use other bottles, but this is the easiest for her to use and the most soothing.

Of course the ability to keep air out over other bottles is a huge plus. Less gas, less colic. Also, the clean up is so much easier - especially since I have to hand wash them all.

The only reasons I gave these bottles four stars instead of five is because of the fact that you have to keep buying the liners which are pretty expensive. I don't know where the rest of these reviewers get their cheaper liners but I can't find any; even the Parent's Choice liners are more expensive than the Playtex!

My other issue with them is that they're more difficult to measure. I actually pour my water into another bottle to measure and then pour it in the liner because I find that toward the beginning...
...

Natanya33 says "We love them!!!!" about Playtex Drop Ins Baby Bottle

We LOVE them! We use the new liners though (the ones that expand, not the standard liners) and they are awesome! You don't have to squeeze the air out; at least not that I"m aware of- I thought you did but the directions don't indicate to do so. I usually squeeze the air out but my husband does not. The liners do collapse, but if you want to see how much is left of any unfinished milk you just unscrew the cap a bit and the liner pops back out and you can see how much is left (again, this is with the new liners).

I guess it cuts down on gas because my son very rarely has gas (burp gas, that is- he farts all the time!). I usually only get one good burp put of him when I put him on my shoulder to burp.

These bottles are really easy to use and clean up is great! Especially if you have enough to get through the day. Then you only have to clean bottles once a day! The only downfall is you can't use a bottle warmer or boil them to heat b/c of the liners. I just heat some water in a coffee...
...

I used the Playtex Dropins system with both of my children because it was refered to me by a family member. I liked how the liners allowed my children to drink with out getting alot of air, but I didn't like how exspesive the process got. I ended up washing and reusing liners alot with my second child. I wish I would have tried different bottles the second time around. There are much more advanced systems out on the market now.

My daughter never gave me much trouble with the liners but my son liked to squeeze them so there was alway a big mess. I think the system is a nice idea, but it may be out dated. It is also not the most environmentally friendly way of feeding your baby. That was another reason that I washed and reused the liners with my son.

The new liners that they have are nice though. They expand to ten ounces, which is very nice if you are formula feeding. It is very hard to get the right amount of formula and water into the eight ounce liners with out...
...

teenymarie says "Playtex Drop Ins helped my daughters reflux problems" about Playtex Drop Ins Baby Bottle

We have used the Playtex drop ins system with both of my daughters. They both had reflux and spit up alot, we first tried them with my first daughter because they have the collapsable liners that you can remove air from. I hate having to buy the liners all the time but its worth the extra money for my baby to feel better. It is also alot easier, in my opinion, to just take the liner out and throw it away and you don't have to worry about getting in the bottom of the bottle when you are washing them. They also come in 2 different sizes, the 4 oz. and the 8 oz. so its more convenient. One of the downsides was that sometimes the liners can leak, especially after you push the air out of them. You have to be very gentle when you're doing it or they will bust. We've only had a few where thats happened anyways, so the pros definitely outweight the cons. I have been very happy with the whole Playtex drop ins system.
...

We use the playtex dropin bottles and we love them. I pour the milk in the drop ins and then they just drop right inside the bottle. It is so easy to do. Then when you are done with the bottle you just throw away the drop in. And you don't have to wash the bottle, just the nipple. These are so much easier than some other bottles that have lots of parts to them. I love these. They are simple, and they have cute designs too. At first I thought that I wouldn't like having to buy the drop ins but a lot come in a pack, and I don't have to buy them very often. The way they are designed, these bottles also keep my baby from sucking in air and getting lots of gas. And she loves these bottles. These nipples are designed to be used for breastfeeding babies because they are similar to the breast. My daughter has no problem with these at all. The drop ins for these bottles are good too. They are very strong and durable and have had no problems at all with leaking, like I have with some other bottles....
...

We used these bottles when my little brother was a baby 15 years ago and they were great then. The way the liner was made you could squeeze all the air out of it so the baby would be less likely to get gas. I didn't plan to use the Playtex drop in liner bottles with my son because I didn't want to spend the money on the drop in liners, but when my son had gas a lot as a newborn my mom picked up one of these and a box of liners to see if it would help. With the new design for the drop in liners, you can't squeeze the air out. I honestly don't see how these would help a colicky baby if you can't squeeze the air out, it is just like using any other bottle, just with the expense of buying liners all the time. We put the liner in, and now instead of folding over the top securely, they just have a little rim that sits on the top of the bottle before you screw the nipple on. When we tried to squeeze the air out, the liner popped out and spilled formula everywhere. I really don't...
...

The Playtex Drop-Ins bottle was the first bottle I tried with my baby. I exclusively breastfed my baby, only using bottles to feed breastmilk when I was away or to let my husband get in on the feeding. We tried other bottles just because we had received others as gifts. We were not successful at getting the baby to take any bottles other than the the Playtex Drop-Ins.

One of the pros of the Drop-Ins system is that it uses disposable liners, making cleanup quick and easy. One of the cons is that it uses disposable liners which have to be replaced often. Since stores like Walmart and Target now carry store-brand liners that fit the Playtex bottles, it is really not that expensive.

You can have your choice of latex or silicone nipples in either slow-flow or fast-flow. The latex nipples can only be sterilized before the first use and have to be replaced every 2-3 months. The silicone nipples can be re-sterlized as many times as you want and only need to be replaced if they show excessive...
...

I started out with the Dr. Browns bottles. I was told by friends that they were the best. They were nice, however the cleaning of the bottles became so obnoxious I needed and wanted to try something else. A friend of mine had leant me her Playtex Drop in bottles and I tried it once and fell in love. My daughter didn't even show me that she noticed a change and went right with it. I loved the bottles!! They were so easy to clean because you just took the inside out and threw it away. I did find however that the drop in's were a bit over priced. That was quickly resolved by buying a knock off brand of drop in's at Target. LOVE LOVE LOVE these bottles
...

I love the Playtex Drop-Ins Bottle. I had planned to breastfeed exclusively, but couldn't produce enough breastmilk. I started using Playtex Drop-Ins to supply the lack for my son, and never had any problems with nipple confusion, since the soft nipple, slow-flow, and collapsible liner all mimic breastfeeding. I love that the liner enables you to feed your child from any angle without air getting in, and my son loves to hold the bottle himself (at 4 months) because the angle does not make him take in air if he doesn't hold it exactly right. The liners are disposable and sterile, though I wash mine with dish soap and a brush to re-use them several times without any problems as well. You do have to be careful while pushing the air out of the bottle, because sometimes the liner will come off and spill if you push too hard or fast, and it definitely works best when the bottle starts off at the full 4 oz rather than a smaller amount. Sometimes the vaccuum it creates causes the nipple...
...

When our first daughter was born with a low suck reflex we used Avent bottles as they seemed to work best for her. I breastfed exclusively but had to supplement using bottles until her latch and suck became productive for 2 weeks. When I had to go back into the workforce when she was 14 weeks old, she had to take a bottle while with her grandma. The only bottle she would accept was the Playtex Drop-Ins Nursers and she easily transitioned from the nurser to the breast. With my second, who is now 8 weeks old, she gets one bottle every day while I am preparing dinner and she has also...

I can't say enough about Playtex drop in bottles. First, you can buy about any type of nipple that you need for your baby. I prefer the silicone ones but that's just my preference, you can get any type. Second, the cost is great on these bottles. Third, the cleanup is a BREEZE. This is super important for busy mommies. I also love how you can sqeeze all the air out of the bottle liner...
...

Playtex bottles are a great brand of bottles to use. These bottles make parenting life a whole lot easier. The bottles are not like typical bottles, they are not all one peice. the body of the bottle has no bottle and no top to it, you use a disposible clear drop in bag which has flaps at the top of the bottle that go over and around the entire edge of the bottle then you put your nipple onto the bottle tightly so the milk doesnt leak. I swear by these bottles it made my parenting life alot easier. I didnt have to boil or stiralize the bottles like you do for other bottles constantly before you can use them. You just drop in the clear bag fill it and then when your done you pull the bag out and throw it away. When you need to feed again you grab a new bag and start again.

These bottles are so easy to use. There great. You dont have to have so many bottles since you throw away the liners after each use. You dont need to use a bottle scrubber because there is no inside of the bottle to...
...
