Little-Mo says "The most adorable toy I've seen this holiday!" about Playskool Busy Ball Popper

When my sister-in-law asked me if the store at which I work sold these, I wasn't sure, at first, because I've never heard of it before. But when I went home that day, I noticed that there was a coupon in the paper for this little thing, and I clipped it out and went back the next day, only to find that most of them had flown right off the shelves! My sister wants one for her son, and, determined to find one for her, I went into the back and bought one of the ones from the storage bay with my coupon in hand, and it really is the most adorable toy. Lots of giggles and cuteness with this little toy, with brightly coloured balls flying every which way. There's a fair amount of the 'game-within-a-game' involved in chasing the balls down and getting them back when my rambunctious nephew decided to start pounding the button to watch the balls fly everywhere, but the real fun started when my sister's dog, a Husky with almost as much energy as her son, came in from outside and saw the balls. ...
...

We got the ball popper when my 6 years old was 1 and a half. Now my youngers is 2 and he plays with it. It has been take apart, Foreign object have been stuffed in it, but both of my kids keep coming back to play with it.

What they like about it is that it's musical, dynamic, easy to start and has brightly colored balls. The balls are light and soft so there's no risk of injury if your kids get rambunctious and swat at them or toss them around.

As a parent, I like that it has a separate master on/off switch. I wish that it had a lower volume, but the music is not that annoying high pitched stuff that come in many toys. It is similar, but there is a different variety of song and the tones are less shrill.

Also, it works best with the balls that come with it. I tried (and my kids have tried) putting other types of balls in it, but you really need the ones that are designed for the toy. We lost a couple of them in a move, but, after a little research, I found that Preschool...
...

I bought this toy for my friend's year old baby girl. She is not walking yet but a very active crawler. She is a very happy baby to start with but when she saw this toy she busted out in a roaring, loud laughter which kept up for a hour. I am not exaggerating. The adults got a kick out of just watching her. The balls really kept her entertained and at first she do dnot know how to put the balls where they needed to go but it only took a few rounds of us playing with her and she got the hang of it. She loved this toy.

One thing to note, there is no adjustable volume so for those of you who do not like noise, this may get annoying. Also, it requires 4 D batteries. This unit self shuts off like most kid toys but it may get expensive if you do not have rechargeables. The air that blows from the toy is rather strong and I noticed baby likes this. It is almost as fun to them as putting the balls in. The plunger is not as easier to teach a one year old. You do have to push the plunger to get the...
...

The Playskool Busy Ball Popper is one of the best toys they have made and that I have bought for my toddler. My toddler has played with it many many times and everytime my toddler does play it my toddler gets excited everytime. My husband and i have never had a problem with this toy and we have had it for quite sometime now. It comes with colorful balls that pop out with air in the loopy part and slide down the slide that attaches to the machine. I think the toy comes with five balls I am not sure since my toddler has lost a few and is now down to only three. But even though some balls are missing the toy works great and my toddler still enjoys it. It also makes sounds and music when the balls are going through. You turn on the toy when the child pushes down on the buttom that looks like a mushroom top. Batteries also last much loner in there than most toys. They come in different colors for a boy or girl. Overall for the money I would say this is worth compared the...
...

I searched and searched online for a toy that would be fun for my 1 year old nieces birthday. I came across this toy and found that it had great reviews!! And I agree, this toy really keeps her entertained, she loves it. It brings plenty of smiles. And best of all I found a five dollar off coupon. So with Walmarts low $17.00 price plus the $5.00 coupon this toy only ran about $12.00. For that price you really can't beat it. A toy that they actualy play with and is durable. I give it 5 stars. Also it comes in pink!! She loves to chase the balls after they pop out. She's not the only one that plays with it either, the dogs love to watch this toy and you can tell they want to get in on the action. Not only that, I'm pretty sure my nine year old son likes playing with this with his 1 year old niece. From it's bright colors and lively action, this is an excellent gift, and I will be giving it again!!
...

This toy is very fun to play with but uses batteries not very quickly but quick enough. It is loud...but fun. My 1 yr old got his arm stuck in the tube trying to grab the balls but it came apart very easily and did not hurt him. I would say make the tube smaller but then the balls would be too small and the child may choke on that. Otherwize fun product.
...

Well we've had a time with this toy Usually i dont Complain About toys But this one really irked me. We have owned two of these now and BOTH have tore up due to no ones fault but the toy. Literally opened the first one up and it worked for Mabye 3 hrs. Then It started sucking instead of blowing the balls around. Not Fun. On the box it states Unpredictable Ball popping fun. Well it was un predictable alright. When it did work the balls would someyimes just fly every where. Not up and around like they were supposed to. So While my kids loved it while it worked they were EXTREMELY upset for the rest of the night. Thanks playskool! So i called the company the next day about it they Did make me feel Better And kindly fed exed us another one which arrived rather soon. So now we begin with this one. They fixed the fan problem now it shoots balls out Way up everywhere and the little balls get lost in about 2 seconds Flat. Under everything also they are very similar to the balls that......

Our daughter got this as a gift for her first birthday. Our friends bought it for her and said that they were sorry. The only reason they said that they were sorry was because the toy is annoying and the balls go all over the place. SO WHAT! Our daughter loves this toy and was her favorite birthday gift. She even plays it with all of the kids that come over that are ages 1-10. It is so much fun for her. After the time the child hits or presses the apparatus, the balls pop out for the perfect length of time and plays music. Yes, it can be crazy, but as long as it keeps her occupied. It is very inexpensive (about $20) and we have continually bought it as a gift for our other friends. She has been using it for so long and we have only had to replace the batteries once and it has never broke. Even if our daughter accidentally throws something else down the hole, it is easy to get anything out.
...

I recently purchased the Playskool Busy Ball Popper for my 8 month old son. I was looking for a toy that would be stimulating, and keep him entertained so that I could be freed up to do some other things. So far, it's done both, but it's definitely not something he could just play on his own. Luckily, my three year old son thinks it's cool too, so it's worked out to be a toy that they can play with together. My younger son likes to watch the balls pop out of the top and enjoys the music, while my older son likes to push the button to make it go and chase down the balls. The balls do really pop up out of the toy and go a little crazy--it certainly helps that I have a volunteer ball wrangler. One thing the baby likes to do is pull the ball popper towards him as the balls pop out, and a couple of them have popped him in the face. He doesn't seem to mind--he's never cried about it and he still does it. Overall, I'm glad I purchased the toy, although I think my younger son...
...

The Playskool Busy Ball Popper was hands down my son's favorite toy. He never got tired of playing with it. It was not just a toy he played with as a baby. It still held his interest until he was about four. It is noisy and the balls fly everywhere! It drove me crazy to hear it and even more crazy to look all over for the house for those balls. I can remember crawling around on all fours looking under beds, behind couches, everywhere while my son was whining that he wanted to play with it. Sounds unbelievably annoying right? It was, but it was worth it. The joy my little one got from this toy was so worth it. He loved it so much and played with it all the time. He loved putting the balls in and watching them fly out across the room. I gave this toy four stars because of the pure joy it brought my son, but I can not get give it five starts because keeping up after those balls was like a part time job!
...

My little girl love the Playskool Busy Ball Popper. My brother-in-law gave this to her for her first birthday and it took her less than a week to figure out how to push the button to make the balls start popping.

I do wish the balls wouldn't continually fly out of the popper, because it's not really a play-alone toy for her when I have to run/crawl around the room and find all the missing balls that have been "popped" onto the floor and have rolled under the furniture.

She love it though. She'll turn it on and then stick her face over the top of it and wait for a ball to hit her. So funny to watch. I think the music is a little loud and it would be nice if there was at least a high and low volume control on the toy. It's too loud for me to talk on the phone when she's playing with it and since she likes it so much I pretty much have to explain that I have a toddler playing with toys every time I'm on the phone.
...

kcooney says "My kids favorite toy; going broke buying batteries" about Playskool Busy Ball Popper

Love this toy. Well I should say the kids love the Ball Popper. This is the only toy in the house that they keep coming back to. We've had it for years now and they never stop playing with it. Not really sure what intrigues them about it other than it blows air and they like to turn it towards their face and the fact that it can make balls float in mid-air. Every family friend that comes over always comments that they have the same toy and it's also their kid's favorite toy.

Cons:

They are ALWAYS putting non-intended toys down the shoot. I now keep a wire coat hanger nearby because I am constantly fishing them out

Eats batteries like you wouldn't believe

They sometimes get their arm stuck trying to get the other toys out that they shove down there. It's never been a dangerous situation though.

I don't think we've had the original 5 balls it came with since 2 days after we purchased it. Replacement balls are expensive (IMHO).
...
