Yes it is missing a few features from the past GTA games, which would have been nice to have been added. But the main focus of GTA 4 was the physics, they are incredible. If you just look past the features and look at the game in its intirety its amazing. You can do things in GTA4 that you could never imagine in the past GTA's.  The crashes and police chases alone are amazing....
