LaurieM says "Finally, a toy that my dog can't destroy! Get an Orbee!" about Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Balls

We got our dog at a shelter when he was just a puppy. The shelter told us that he wouldn't grow to be more than around forty pounds. That sounded perfect to us so we adopted this white wrinkly pup and made him a part of our family. Within about six months, I'm pretty sure he reached his forty-pound mark ... needless to say, the shelter was way off. Three years later our "puppy", Rebel weighs in at around eighty pounds. Squeak toys for this big guy? I think not. Rope toys? Destroyed in about five minutes. Tennis balls, forget about it. Stuffed animal? Laughable. The only one toy that we finally found that he couldn't rip through was the Kong Dog Toy but after awhile, he got somewhat bored with it. I did some research and I found Planet Dog Orbee-Tuff Balls at planetdog.com. Another awesome indestructible dog toy and now a very happy dog!

Orbee-Tuff Balls

The site has so much to choose from and what's cool is that before you choose an item, you can narrow your choices down based on the age...
...

Ok, I bought this for our 1 year old boxer for her birthday. (Yes, we celebrate) We've had it for 6 months now and she still loves it and there is not a SCRATCH on it. Recently I left this toy at my Mom's and her Rottweiler loves it as well. Usually he can chew through anything. (Seriously, he had chunks torn out of a tractor tire once) This ball has withstood his insane chewing. He had it out last week while my Dad was mowing the lawn and it was accidentally mowed over. My Dad of course, freaked out thinking he'd ruined it but low and behold.....still not a scratch on it! I'm VERY impressed with the durability of these balls. I will be buying more!...

This is the deal, the ball is what it is, but for 7 to 8 dollars less go to a sports store or toy store and by a lacross ball. I have a working dog who has gone thru every chew toy. The lacross ball is the most cost effect toy you can buy....

These planet dog orbee tuff balls are the best thing ever. My dog loves to play ball, and chew on them. Tennis balls would always get so soggy and dirty that you hated picking them up after play time. But with these balls you don't have that problem. I love'em....

Theyre so cute and my dogs cant chew them up! I have 2 poms and they chewed right threw 2 tennis balls. They were cut in half! Plus the tennis ball "fur" would get stuck in my dogs teeth. These balls are cuter than tennis balls, and strong enough to hold up!...

The Tuff balls are a great toy that my dog loves, and better yet, doesn't destroy on the first day. We have a yellow lab puppy that tears everything apart. Now if we could just put a homing device on them b/c he keeps loosing it in the woods. lol. We also have a pond and it's nice that it floats!
...

Finally a ball that can stand up to a mean green chewing weenie...ok so he's really not mean and he's chocolate instead of green...but you get the point right?! I have a dachshund that loves ball's but has destroyed them all. He even busted a basketball, yep...basketball. He may only be 7 lbs. but he's a mean chewer. We LOVE these balls. He's had his for 2 months now and trust me when I say no other toy has ever stayed in this house that long. They are also great water toys because they float. Oh and another thing I love is I don't go broke keeping my baby happy....

My GSD has actually been able to destroy the same said balls that are used at the zoo to entertain the bears....that being said, he doesn't often get balls to play with, because he is so rough on them...In fact, he has worn down his fangs completely even in height with his other teeth with his insatiable need to chew, and also the bite strength of a great white shark...so after reading these glowing reviews-particularly the part about the guarantee, I was on board. And as George M Cohan once said...."I thank you, my mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my sister thanks you.", and (this is an insertion from my GSD, Peyton) Bark, bark Bark bark-doggie thank you....He can play, play, play, which makes him happy, happy, happy, and I am not breaking the budget to keep him in round things to fetch...Oh Happy day...Even if he does destroy them, I am not concerned. By the way, he really doesn't care about them floating (although they do), because he is not a great fan of water.
...

Planet Dog toys have made my rescue dog's puppyhood much easier. She's got a toy in the car, in her crate, at my parent's etc. She loves them, they aren't hard and were great for teething. I feel safe letting her have one in her crate as she cannot destroy them and end up swallowing pieces. This ball is fantastic, it has a lot of give and bounce and the bright colors make it easier to find at the park....

I have a great dane. He goes through toys like there is no tomorrow. He often destroys toys that are " indestructible" HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A TEST DOG FOR KONG... He loves these balls. He can't destroy them and loves being able to have a game of fetch rather then through twice and replace....which is our old game. I would strongly recommend this to any tough chewer. I hope this helps.
...

These balls are wonderful for tough chewers like my dog. Normally she destroys a tennis ball (or really any toy for that matter) in mere seconds after giving it to her. These allow her to chomp and chew without falling apart. They last forever! Bravo to the creators of these....

I buy Planet Dog toys all the time, because they are 100% guarunteed. If my dog destroys the ball, I send it back to Planet Dog and they send me a new one! And Planet Dog is a wonderful organization. They use recycled material to make their toys, and any toys that are sent back are then recycled and made into new toys. The ball has a nice minty smell (helps my pup's bad breath), and it floats!...
