I asked for a Phillips Sonicare electric toothbrush as a Christmas gift three years ago, and have thoroughly enjoyed this product. I originally picked this product to try based on the fact that family members had already tried and liked this toothbrush. My teeth feel so much cleaner than they did using a regular toothbrush, and I've had noticeablyless cavities and less tartar buildup. The toothbrush buzzes to let you know when to switch to a different side of your mouth (it has 4 timed segments every-time you start it) so you know when you've spent enough time on a section of your mouth. I like the fact that it came with a charger (no batteries!) and an extra base and case for traveling. I think the gift giver bought the set at BJs, not sure if this package is available else where. The only concern I would voice is that the base does need charged rather frequently; for this reason I leave mine on the charger all the time. I have tried other electric toothbrush brands...
...

I am a very busy mom, who has compromised the health of my teeth because of a love affair with coffee and diet coke. Additionally I am one of the trendy adults wearing braces, therefore having a healthy mouth is a high priority. For Christmas my mother gave me a Phillips Sonicare, who like many others purchased at the recommendation of her dentist (my orthodontist too) for optimal oral hygene. Some of the benifits were protrayed as superior plaque removal, healthier gums and "whiter teeth in just 28 days". Of course, who wouldn't want those benefits? I used as directed for more than 28 days and still did not sense the benefit portrayed by the manufacturer. I inquired with my dentist and she only recommended I brush my teeth more often. Wonderful suggestion if I could take the toobrush with me everywhere I go. The only benefit is the timer to make sure you brush for the recommended time frame, otherwise the old fashion way works best for me.
...

Tootsieroller says "Have used for over 10 years" about Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush

I was given a Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush over 10 years ago for a Christmas present from my husband. Not very romantic I know but it has been one of the very best presents I have ever been given. Although it was still working well, I finally replaced the whole toothbrushing system about 2 years ago because it was getting a little outdated and my favorite store had it on sale. Before that, I only replaced the toothbrush head about every 18 months. It has worked so well for me, I can't tell you when I had my last cavity. I am 68 years old and have all my teeth. People compliment me often on how white my teeth look. I believe everyone should use this electric toothbrush to get a really good cleaning. Your mouth will feel so refreshed, you'll feel like you have been to the dental hygienist. The Philips sonicare is well worth purchasing and can save you a big dental bill in the long run.

I purchased the Sonicare Battery OperatedTtoothbrush for my husband and myself for Christmas last year. My husband inherited very bad teeth and everytime he would go to the dentist just for a cleaning, he would have to have more work done. After using the sonicare toothbrush for 6 months, he went to the dentist and they wanted to know what he was doing different. The plaque and tarter on his teeth was noticeably reduced. For the first time he could remember, he didn't have to a have any other work done on his teeth. He was proud to tell them of his Christmas present. I have diabetes and get my teeth checked every six months. When I went to the dentist the first time after using my sonicare toothbrush, I was told the plaque and tartar was reduced also. I have since purchased a rechargeable sonicare toothbrush for my husband. Sonicare toothbrushes also have replaceable heads, so when the brush part needs to be replaced, you don't have to purchase the whole toothbrush. I...
...

mslisa1970 says "Sonicare is the best device ever to clean your teeth." about Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush

I have been using the Sonicare Electric Toothbrush for approximately 7 years and it is absolutely the best device on the market to clean your teeth. I have tried several battery operated toothbrushes but they never worked very well and were basically just glorified toothbrushes. After using the Sonicare toothbrush, it actually feels like you have just been to the dentist for a teeth cleaning. You know that feeling when you run your tongue across your teeth and it feels really smooth? Well, that is the way your teeth feel EVERY time you brush with the Sonicare toothbrush. It is phenomenal and I would not use any other product on my teeth. The replacement heads are a little bit expensive but you do not have to replace them very often and it is well worth every penny. It is important to keep the toothbrush on the charger so that it stays charged. If you don't, you will be disappointed when you go to use it and it's dead. In summary, I highly recommend the Sonicare Electric Toothbrush for...
...

When I first got my Phillips Sonic Care I was kind of a sceptic. I use it once and I was in love. It made me realize that my regular toothbrushes were not doing the job. It comes with or without a unit to sanitize your brush eah and every time you brush. Kinda expensive, but when you think how much it cost to get dental work or replace your teeth it is a verygood investment.
...

the phillips sonicare electric toothbrush is the best toothrbusgh i have used. after the first use my teeth felt immaculately clean and like i had just gotten my teeth clean by a dentist. they felt smooth, looked whiter and my gums didnt bleed like they normally do when i use a manual toothrbush. the only thing you have to remember is that you cant turn it on with the toothpaste on the brush becuase of its power it will send the toothpaste flying up in the air. i learned this the hard way. other than that a really excellent toothbrush. i am hoping to get my daughjter used to the feeling that way she wont be scared of the first dentist trip and the sensitive mode is great for that. the toothbrush comes with 3 modes and 2 toothbrush heads one big and one small. it holds itz charge for an amazingly long time so i dont keep it pluged in at all times only when i need to charge it which is like once a week for an hour, if that long.
...

My Philips Sonicare toothbrush is the best toothbrush I have ever used! I wouldn't give it up for the world! It has it's own little charger, which is very convenient. I also have the sterlizer for the brushheads.

My teeth have never felt so clean as when I use this toothbrush. It has a timer that automatically shuts it off when you have brushed for two minutes which is a great feature. No matter what toothpaste or mouthwash I use with the Philips Sonicare toothbrush, my teeth shine all day long. My teeth are always smooth and white now that I have the Philips Sonicare toothbrush! My breath is more fresh also.

My dentist has noticed the improvement on my oral hygiene. He said I have reduced my plaque and tarter greatly and my teeth look fantastic.

I must say, the vibrations from the toothbrush took a little while to get used to when I first got it. But it only took about a week until my mouth was used to it. It was definately worth it!
...

I have been using the Sonicare electronic toothbrush for more than 6 years. My dentist has even commented on my oral care. Since the toothbrush has a built in timer, you always brush each area the proper amount of time. I can charge my toothbrush overnight and it's ready to go on a week long vacation with me. If something ever happened to my toothbrush, I would definitely purchase another one. For under one hundred dollars you can buy an electronic Sonicare toothbrush that will last for years. The only expense after the original purchase is replacing the actual toothbrush head. This should be done at least twice to three times per year.
...
