The Petmate Medium wire Trainning kennel was the best thing I Got for my dog ( BELLA ) . Bella is a beautifull Shiba Inu , but she just loves to pester people for the attenion that she desirves and when there is company at my house I let her say her hellos to everyone and and get her treats from all ,but then it becomes a time when she needs to selltle down for awhile and remember the rules we have set for her so she gets to stay in her trainning kennle for a while and regroup but the good thing is that she does not feel like its a punshment of any sort . As a matter of fact she belives that that is her space and sometimes defends her personal area too much, and the kennel aslo is a big help for whaen i need to clean house and i am not tripping over her ,,...

All I can say is even if you don't have a young puppy having a Petmate training Kennel is the way to go. My older dogs all have one and sleep in them when they are tired and want some quiet time we don't bother them when thay are in their Petmate Kennel. I have use a Petmate Training kennel for house training all of my 4 dogs and it was simple easy and less stressful on the dogs and their people. This is the way to go Patmate Wire training Kennels! I take it with when we travel it folds down oan fits in my car its so easy to clean and I put a nice rug over the top so its not so Kennel looking. It being a Wire Kennel is great it has good air flow. Loven it...

We live in an apartment and use this type of kennel for our bulldog (except a little larger) who is around 6 months old. We received him when he was just 6 weeks old he took to the kennel very well except that he was slightly afraid of the dark. And now that he's older and he's really tired (especially when we have people over) he goes to the kennel all on his own so no one will disturb him takes a power nap and comes back out to interact with the family. So personally I think kennel training is great it gives him his little space when things get stressful elsewhere. ...

We are soooo fortunate to have purchased this pet crate as opposed to others out there. Ours has a nice black finish on the wire, looks dressy and goes with any environment. The locking mechanism on the door is centered on the door, making it work right. It doesn't go crooked, stress is evenly distributed. We have owned this for 3 years and never had a problem. Friends with other crate brands experience difficulties with the lock, dogs can push up against the door and it warps easy, others don't have the nice bottom tray. Some dogs push wires apart but ours doesn't have that problem. Also, the way our crate folds up is easy to handle. Some are extremely difficult. Other brands have chipping paint, too. Ours cost comparable, often cheaper than other brands. Really well worth the investment.
...

Petmate saved my mate and I. Recently, we have been having issues with our little spoiled loved ones. A silky and a Min Doxie. We recently purchased the Petmate, in medium size. Soon as we put in a blanket and added a pillow for softness, our Doxie was the first to run in test the crate and go right to sleep ( favorite bear in tow) . Our Silky being as spoiled as she is, was a little less curious. But for thier first night, they slept peacefully and now are on the verge of finally being potty trained! or house trained ( Which ever)

I reccommend the medium crate as the small crate is super small even for small tea cup animals. Both our dogs are 7-10lbs each so its perfect for them.

Thanks Petmate
...

We've had this particular kennel for nearly ten years. It's housed two liters of pups, helped us house train, served as the "recovery" kennel and even goes in the back of my blazer for visits to the vet.

When the dogs see the kennel come out, they are trying to get in before I'm through snapping it together. They like it so much, even with the door wide open they stay in it.

It's so easy to clean. Just take it outside and hose it down and with the slide out tray in the bottom, it's a snap! Putting it together and taking it apart is really easy. No tools required! It folds up so small that I hide mine behind my china cabinet when not in use. It's great!!

...

I've used Petmate Wire Training Kennels for about three years now. I fostered for a local dog rescue for two years and then decided to start an animal rescue of my own about a year ago. I've cared for well over 100 dogs and puppies and have relied on these dog crates to help me confine and housetrain them.

We have a couple of medium-sized crates that we use for both small to medium dogs and groups of puppies. They are made of plastic-coated wire and have a strong plastic tray at the bottom. The kennel door swings easily and has two latches that slip into place without any of the annoying jiggling that I've had to do with no-name crates.

It's pretty easy to clean out the bottom pan of the Petmate Wire Training Kennel. You can just slide it out to you rather than trying to crawl into the crate to scrub it out. If you have a poopy puppy, the mess tends to get smashed into the wire along the sides of the kennel. The sides don't slide out so it is more of a challenge to really clean...
...
