I'm using this Patton PUH680 Utility heater in spring and autumn in my garage when I am working my bicycles and the temperature is still a bit too cold. This is the only source of heat in the garage that I can use.

The device is too small to heat up the whole garage, but because of the ventilator that is in in it will blow the heat to you and gives you the local extra warmth that you may require. The safety features are great; it will switch off automatically when tipped over and this has happened to me a couple of times.

I'm using it now for two years and it serves the purpose. I would not put it in my living room because I do not like the design that much and it makes a little bit too much noise.

The price I paid for it was just under 25 USD which I think is about the right price for it.

This little heater is a great product! Now, if you plan on buying a heater like this, you must take into consideration what it cannot do. It is a little heater that doesn't cost very much, so don't expect it to heat your house, or even a large room. In fact, if you use it continuously, you might as well have invested in a much larger oil-filled heater because this little heater will suck up electricity very fast, so be careful or your electricity bill will be much larger than expected.

Use this little handy heater to quickly heat up a small area in your house, like to warm up a medium size bedroom before you go to bed for the night, an entry-way for people coming in from the cold, etc.

It uses a fan to blow the air heated from the heated coils inside it forward. Basically it's like a toaster with a fan blowing the heated air towards you.

The reason it gets such a high rating is because of the following.

it has worked great of 2 years now just like it was brand new. I use it at work everyday to keep warm. It is small and light weight and easy to adjust. It also has an auto shut off in case it falls over. The heater does not get hot to the touch, so you dont have to worry about getting burned,...
