lindsayrocksosu says "So annoying but keeps a little one entertained!" about Parents Bee Bop Band

While this is obviously made to annoy parents of toddlers, it does keep my little one entertained. It comes with a tambourine, a shaker with bells on it, a shaker that is more like a rattle, drum sticks and the case is the drum. The lid of the drum comes off and it is storage for the other instruments.

My daughter has had this for about two weeks and has figured out how to take the top of the drum off and THROW things that are not instruments into the drum. She also carries around the lid and plays with it, chews on it, etc. It is already in terrible shape and I don't forsee it lasting through the end of the month. The drumsticks are adorable and the perfect gripping size for a toddler, but that means that my toddler will carry them around the house if you'll let her, banging on my walls, my kneecaps and the dog. She also sticks the round knob-like ends in her mouth constantly because they are the perfect size.

I don't feel too strongly about this product one way or another. ...
...

This is a great toy for any age. I have 4 kids ranging in age from 9 months to 6 years old, and this is a toy they can all play with. It can get a little noisy :) but they all enjoy playing together and being a part of the band!!! What a great way for them to practice a little rhythm while all having fun together. There are drum sticks that can be used as weapons, but I have 4 girls and don't have to encounter that.
...

My daughter got this item for her first birthday. We really thought she would love it, since she was into music and loves to make noise. Sadly, she's not crazy about the instruments. She has another xylophone that she loves, but the cord on this one is too short and she gets frustrated. She likes to watch the beads in the bumble bee go back and forth. She also loves the drum sticks - but she doesn't use them on the drum. She likes to bang them on the dryer or the floor. I will warn you - they are the perfect size for her to shove in her mouth and tells us they are "wallapops" - be careful. The other instruments are just lost on her. She has tried a time or two to stand on the drum, which is not sturdy enough for her weight! Overall, it is a great concept, but the fact that the instruments are also animals just seems to confuse my daughter and she isn't able to play with the item as intended. Save your money.
...

THE PARENTS BEE BOP BAND IS GOOD. IT IS A BRAND I TRUST. IT IS COLORFUL AND ATTRACTIVE. I HAVE 2 BOYS, 4 1/2 AND 2. THEY BOTH ENJOY ALL THE PIECES. EACH INSTRUMENT MAKES A DIFFERENT SOUND AND IS IN THE SHAPE OF A DIFFERENT INSECT.

I HAD TO TAKE THE DRUM STICKS AWAY BECAUSE THE 2 YEAR OLD WOULD STICK THEM DOWN HIS THROAT. AND HE CRACKED THE TOP OF THE DRUM LID, BECAUSE HE WOULD SATND ON IT. I WOULD RECOMMED IT FOR KIDS OLDER THAN 2. IT IS A LOUD TOY SO BE READY FOR SOME NOISY MUSIC MAKERS.
...

Last Christmas we purchased the Parents Bee Bop Band for our daughters who were 27 months and 11 months old. Each of the girls loved this toy. Our older daughter navigated towards banging the sticks together while our younger daughter shook the bee rattle with glee. In the year that we have had this toy our daughter's love for it has not diminished. From time to time the drum stick is used as a weapon when the other girl is reaching in for the steal of one of the cute, colorful toys. This toy work extremely well by itself but when paired with some music it is even better. The girls keep beat with Greg and Steve with ease. The Parents Bee Bop Band is appropriate for young children as well as toddlers, boys as wells as girls. Each toy is easily cleanable and stores in the container perfectly. Although we do have a little trouble getting both the drumsticks in with all the other instruments in there. You can find this toy at Target and it sometimes has a Free Subscription...
...

My baby girl received the Parents Bee Bop Band for her first birthday. The toy is rated for 18 months plus but does not seem to advanced for her. When we opened up the drum and took out the drumsticks she knew exactly what to do with them!

This is a very cute set. It has a set of jingle bells in the shape of an ant wearing long pants (the pants form the letter "A,") a bumble bee maraca with castanet wings in the shape of "B" and a caterpillar tambourine in the shape of "C." The drumsticks are two smiling centipedes.

Your child must be supervised while playing with this toy because the drumsticks are made of a very hard plastic (they can become weapons!) and while not a swallowing hazard, they are still just the right size for putting in the mouth. A fall with one of these in hand or mouth could result in an injury. The metal pieces on the tambourine should also not be put in the mouth. The child could pinch his/her tongue between the metal pieces.

While there are some potential hazards,...
...

My nephew has the Parents Bee Bop Band and it is great. The first thing my son goes and gets when we go visit them is this set. It is so darn cute with the little bugs and so fun for them to play with. I know a lot of parents might get annoyed with toys that sing and make noise and are loud, but me I love them, because my son loves them. I know that I have only had 2 years of it and it might change after I have another child, but right now noisey toys are great. My sons favorite part is the little drum (I think he is going to have a band some day), but him and my nephew usually fight over it. Since my little one just turned 2 and my nephew is 3 1/2 it gets a little tough when it comes to sharing. But this is great because there are all the other instruments to play with. So each of them get to take turns and they each get to play every instrument. I love that they can play songs together (even if they are playing stuff that is totally different and singing different songs) it is the cutest...
...

The Parents Bee Bop Band is so cute for little ones! It comes with a variety of toys so there wasn't any fighting over toys because there was a lot to play with. All the pieces were very durable and eye catching. The only problem is that they can get kind of loud, so if your partial to headaches, you might want to go with another toy. Also, my children had a habit of taking the drum sticks to the televisions around the house so you might want to watch out for that. However, the toy was colorful and fun so it kept them entertained for quite a while and they could take some of the pieces into the bathtub with them(making bathtime loud too!). I would just suggest watching kids with this toy though because they could also use the drum as a step stool and get into things they were not supposed to. I would absolutely suggest this toy to any parent, especially ones with more than one kid, unless they have problems with a lot of noise!
...

rjjorgen says "The Bee Bop Band is a nice set of rhythm toys" about Parents Bee Bop Band

The Baby Bee Bop Band is a toy that has several features I like. It teaches (cause and effect, and can be used to teach rhythm later), it doesn't require batteries, and it requires purposeful action by the child. Plus, it can be used by kids of all ages - even in preschool and kindergarten (and beyond) kids love playing with rhythm toys. The bright colors attracted my daughter when she was very young, and when I start playing the drum her eyes light up and she grabs the drumsticks.

The set comes with a jingle bell, a tambourine, a xylophone, a shaker, and drumsticks. My biggest complaint is the xylophone. Not only is it not tuned to any note (which really bother sme more because I'm a musician than anything else), but it isn't xylophone-sounding either; when we hit it, we hear more of a plastic-y noise than a xylophone sound. We use a set of meditation chimes instead if we want her to have a xylophone.

Overall, though, it's a good set of toys that kids will enjoy, and other than the xylophone,...
...
