I've found that Pandora is one of the best online radio stations anyone could ever ask for. First of all, it's FREE, so that's good, especially for poor grad students like me. Also, being a grad student results in me being very busy and having no time to discover new artists as much as I have in the past. Pandora allows me to not only hear music from artists I like, but introduces me to new artists that I may never know about without this site. I love music, old and new, and Pandora has it all.

I really love that I can make my own stations, and I can make as many stations as I need (which sometimes is a lot, with my wide span of music tastes). I like putting in an artist or a song and hearing music that has the same style. This is very helpful if you're in the mood for a certain type of music (holiday music, for instance). This website is amazing. I have found so much new music because of this site. Simply put in one of your favorite songs or artists and it will bring up a whole lot of other songs you may like. This site is great if you really like discovering new music.

I agree with a lot of the positive reviews of PANDORA. GREAT idea! I found some new artists. Love the jazz and instrumental music while working.

The catch for me (Nit-Picker Warning!) is that PANDORA is essentially an online funnel to deliver consumers to the record companies which means that the record companies control the design of it. So it's THEIR agenda - I'm spoon-fed products (artists and songs) the music marketers want to sell me.

This fact makes PANDORA bit of a bait-and-switch. I get one song from the artist I likeand then I get a LOT of the SAME SONGS (that I DON'T like) over and over and over again, which drives me to the 'Skip' button frequently. I'm limited to skipping only a few songs per session (The disclaimer that pops up when I've exceeded my allotted number of 'skips' politely admits that this limitation is because of the agreement between PANDORA and the record companies)

So instead of a refreshing and inspiring cross-section of juicy talent...

I found Pandora just a few days ago, and I love it. I had tried other personalized radio stations before, but they never really "got" what I liked. Pandora was playing music I liked in the first hour. It's perfect because it exposes me to songs and artists I don't know, without needing to slog through hours of boring or bad music.

Pandora Internet Radio is a brilliant idea that doesn't live up to its promise. For example, I sekected a few of my favorite musicians and created a station for each of them; imstead of playing most of the selections by my chosen artrist, I am confronted with "we think you'll like this music that sounds like your musician." I DON"T WANT TO HEAR THAT, I WANT TO HEAR MOSTLY THE MUSICIAN I CHOSE! Just maddening, and I always end up disgusted and frustrated.

Pandora.com is an absolute lifesaver for anyone who spends hours in front of a computer (working or playing). Anytime that I really need to "put my head down" on projects I put the headphones on and head over to Pandora.

By far the BEST internet radio I've ever used (and I'm not not mad at the FREE price either).

Whether you're in the mood for something specific or just love a variety of everything Pandora has you covered...

I found this website over a year ago and feel in love. Its a site that both my 14 year old boy and I use as one of our "favorites". It has help exposed him to new tastes in music and for me I use it while I'm working or just messing around on the Internet. I strongly recommend checking our Pandora.com!...

Pandora is an excellent concept and is a website that I use almost every day while @ work. Pandora is an online music service that is free of charge, and basically acts as a personal internet radio station that remembers what you listen to and learns what type of music you'd like based on genres and artists that you frequently listen to or rate highly. I find that Pandora often makes recommendations regarding music that I have never heard but more often than not find myself enjoying. I have never found a more effective tool to broaden my musical horizons than Pandora! If you're looking for a free way to listen to music at work and you're willing to try out some new artists, you just can't beat Pandora!...

Totally love pandora radio. I use it almost everyday, and I love that you can now create stations according to your mood. The genre stations are cool to, and you can create a station based on an artist or a song as well. The only thing is my stations get to be really repetitive so I have to ban songs for a month. It definitely will find you some new music you'll probably like though....

A friend of mine sent me an invite to Pandora Radio and I have to admit that like most invites I receive I really wasn't all too sure about checking it out. But I sure am glad that I did. I would have to say that this is one of the most visited websites that I us. I love that I control the music. Yes, there are some drawbacks to using it...you cannot choose specific songs that you want to play whenever you want them to, you cannot skip too many songs in a given time period, you can't repeat the song if for some reason you missed it or just want to hear it again. But there are so many good things about this site that I do tend to overlook the negative. I love that I can pretty much listen to any type of music that I am in the mood for. Or I can set it to play randomly from all of the radio stations I have already made up. There is an incredible mix and variety of music on this site and it is just an absolutely wonderful thing! I am so glad that I finally clicked on that......

I'm a lover of satellite radio. I've been an XM subscriber since shortly after launch. I immediately liked the idea of being able to choose the genre of the music I would be listening to. And the ability to listen to virtually commercial-free content...priceless! While I listen to XM primarily while driving, I also enjoy listening while I'm working on the computer. So, if I'm in the mood to listen to oldies while I write it's pretty simple.

But even with XM, I'll occasionally come upon a song I'm not fond of, or worse, one that reminds me of a time or episode I'd rather not remember at the moment. Or, I might find myself in a Billy Joel (or Aerosmith, Steeleye Span, Beatles, etc) kind of mood. You've been there, haven't you?

Well, for just these types of moments there's something new under the sun.

Someone mentioned this web site a year ago and I was immediately hooked! The concept is that every song and group has a style, the instruments they use, the sound they create. So, pandora connects all of these elements and based on your favorite songs or artists, it streams full length songs of that artist and others with similar styles. I have found many great new songs and artists and enjoyed listening to all of my favorites. If you don't like a song, click the thumbs down and you don't hear it again. Like a song and it brings it into your mix more often.

Just give it a try and I think you'll agree it is a very cool way to enjoy and discover new music.
