Panasonic - TH-42PX6U Flat Panel HD Television is fantastic. The color is perfect and programs in HD just blow you away! SD television is only fair (not awful) but that is a problem with a lot of HD televisions. Programs broadcast in digital cable are excellent. The controls are easy to use and adjustments to the aspect ratio is just one button away. The only minor complaint is that I wish the remote had a backlight.

I bought this tv November 2006 and I still love it. Picture is wonderful and if you ain't watched sports in HD you don't know what you are missing. I don't know if this years model has improved the sound but I can't imagine a better picture than this one. Gotta use the HDMI cable to get the best picture from your cable or sat provider.

Gotta have a Home Theater System for this guy though, the sound has much to be desired unless you just watch the soaps or game shows.

The colors and clarity are superb in the Panasonic 42" Plasma. No need to go to sports bars to watch the big game. You won't find a better picture. Not only can you see the field clearly but you can see the fans in the stands clearly! It's better than being at the game! We went to the store and compared televisions without reading reviews. After buying this Panasonic, we found it was the highest rated at the time so it shows the lab tests and recommendations are for real. We plan to buy another plasma HDTV and plan to get the 50" Panasonic because we're so happy with this one. When watching a few movies, we've found the audio leaves something to be desired but that is rare. All in all, a great product and we're thrilled with our investment....

This is my first HD Plasma TV, but I am a huge researcher when I buy new products. After much researching, I decided this was absolutely the best priced TV for what I was looking for, and I have been absolutely happy with this TV! You can't go wrong buying this one and it's priced right!...

This is my first big screen tv - MUCH larger than my previous tv's screen - in fact larger than what I was looking for, but this was at a good price. The picture is great - sharp, and colors are good. The only negative is that (I assume due to the size) it has a discernable constant electronic hum. I keep hoping I'll get used to this, as the tv sound overrides it, but depending on the show I can sometimes hear it and I've had it for eight months, so I haven't gotten used to it. On the positive side, when I got it home and had a glitch with the hookup for cable, I called the Panasonic help line and someone answered immediately and was very polite and helpful - this was right after I had called the cable company for help, and that representive seemed bored and tired of of helping me after just a few minutes (and didn't solve the problem whereas the Panasonic person solved it immediately). ...
