There was a sale at the target down the street from my New York apartment.I had been planning a trip to Houston,Texas to visit my friends for the sunner. Since I was in the big city ,I took the subway , I had business in Manhattan, I wanted to document this for everyone to see the vast vast diffrence between the two societies. Target was having a brilliant salle onthere camcorders and I pcked this one up for a steal(around $100). This camcorder took pictures ,held music files and was a camcorder. It did the trick and came with a carrying case. The only thing that I would ask for is maybe be have a rubber protective shell because this camera was small and therefore very delicate. I give it a great rating and would suggest this camcorder for anyone.This camcorder came with USB cable soI could immediately playback and what I recorded . If you are tech saavy there is also a CD-Rom that comes with it so you can edit you film . If you get a new Dell computer you could set...

I've been waiting for a few years to buy a new camera. This one is the one I've been waiting for. It is lightweight, and very small. It doesn't have a viewfinder but I don't think it's needed. I normally use a viewfinder but I don't miss it. The movie quality is very good compared to my other camcorder. The still pictures are also good for the camera which was a surprise to me....

Of the 5 camcorders and video cameras I have used since 1985 the SDR-H200 is by far the easiest and most versatile of all. The ability to use the built in 30gb hardrive or up to a 4gb SD card makes life easy for the videographer. Cards are cheap now and the ease of conversion to DVD is simplified. The lack of a viewfinder is strange but the side viewer is very easy to adapt to. All the controls are easy to get to and the Menu on the view screen is easy to navigate. The unit sells for list $699 but the BEST deal is always found on Amazon.com for around $550 or less, including all items in the original Panasonic box. A word of caution--stay away from the cheap New York camera shops! They will 'low ball' you and then tell you the extra needed accessories run about $175. more. Stick with certified sellers at Amazon. Check prices daily as they do vary. But there you get what you pay for and NEED. Don't be lured into phoney overpriced 'deals' ....
