I have several of these flash drives that range anywhere in the size from 1GB - 2GB. They are very reliable and sturdy when it comes to protection. The casing that they have are very durable. I have dropped mine and hit it against many things and it still continues to amaze me by working. The only thing that I do not like about this is that the caps can be lost very easily. They are small ones and i have lost almost all but a few on my flash drives. If they had a flash drive in which the cab was attached to it via a small string or such, it would probably make it much easier....

polarischica says "The only flash drive that ever stopped working." about PNY Attache USB 1.1 Flash Drive

I bought the 1GB flash in October and it stopped working 5 months later. It wouldn't read on certain computers, or it would only read if I jiggled it. It completely stopped working a few days later and I lost all of my data on it. The company would not help me because I did not save the original packaging. Very unreliable piece of equipment....

This fob works well. Actually it works better than most others do. I have three currently: a 256 M, a 512 M and the 1.1 G. There was no need to format these (remember those old floppies), they are truely plug and play for PC's. One drawback is that file transfer time is long for the initial transfer of everything. Another problem is that the cap is not attached when removed: I have the habit of taking it off and putting it in a safe place, and hunting it down later because the safe place is now forgotten. The lanyard is helpful to a point but it should also be noted that they can be attached to a key ring....

Jo says "Read this Flash: Save your work on a PNY Drive" about PNY Attache USB 1.1 Flash Drive

Summary

This device allows me to feel secure that my documents are being backed up on an external drive. If you are moving this from computer to computer and need to transfer a lot of material very quickly you will want an upgrade the memory.

What is a flash drive

This one is a tiny 4” by ½” unit. It is part metal, part plastic gizmo and lets me take all my data from my computer and transfer it to this tiny little thing.

Pros

It comes with a long blue cord, called a Lanyard. If I wanted I could carry it around my neck. I can then take the unit to another computer and have my material on it. I can throw it into my pocketbook - it is truly portable and worrying about having the wrong disc with me is a thing of the past.

It will transfer data, music and images from one PC to another. It is essentially a storage device.

It weighs less than 15 grams which is so light you won’t know it’s in your bag.

Cons

It took me an hour to initially transfer my hard drive to the...
...
