Very nice upright vacuum. I have arthritis in my shoulder and this vacuum is light weight, easy to maneuver around and lift. I have not had any problems from this vacuum for over 2 years. It picks up dirt, pet hair and dusk very well without leaving traces of lent behind. It cleans the air of pet odors and does not leave a dirt smell after use. The suction is very powerful. It stores well in a closet and it is not big and balky. It is durable and very well constructed. It is easy to replace the bag and it doesn't clog easy. It is the longest lasting vacuum that I have ever own. It came with an iron and a small shoulder strap vacuum that works just as well as the upright. Price wise, in my opinion is a little cheaper than other vacuums however, you don't get all of the attachment as you would with other vacuums. That is not a problem because the vacuum came with a portable vacuum that is very handy on stairs, small hard to reach areas and cars.

I was married in March 2006 and was given a Hoover vaccuum. It's recently started acting up and I saw this Oreck on the Today's Special on HSN and decided to get it. My Mom has one and I always loved using hers. It's very lightweight and I have had it a couple months and haven't had to change the bag yet. I am sure I probably need to, though. I am happy with this vacuum. The only downfall is this doesn't self propel, but you don't need it to as lightweight as it is. I would recommend this vaccuum to anyone.

I have had the Oreck XL Ultra for at least 5 years and have never had any problems. It picks up wonderfully, it is very light which is good because I have 3 floors in my house so it is much easier to carry up all those steps. before, I have always bought Hoover vacuums but since buying the Oreck, the hoover is still in storage since every one wants to use the Oreck. I am very pleased with my Oreck XL Ultra.

Months ago I reviewed my Oreck Ironman canister vacuum which I am very happy with but shared that I was still in the market for a new upright vacuum cleaner. The Electrolux upright vacuum cleaner that was part of my husband’s wedding dowry over a decade ago, and was old even then, had stopped working to my satisfaction even with maintenance.

I ended up choosing an Oreck XL Silver upright vacuum on recommendation from a professional house cleaner. I love this vacuum cleaner. Don’t get me wrong, I still don’t love to vacuum but with some Delbert McClinton blaring and my Oreck XL Silver, the job is less despised.

Why do I like the Oreck XL Silver?

It’s so lightweight! It weighs only 8 lbs. and is so easy to move from room to room or even up and down stairs. It stands rather compact so it is also easy to store in a closet without giving up the whole space. After using a heavy Dirt Devil Swivel at a beach house this past week, I was reminded how much I appreciate this...

The Oreck XL Vacuum is the best vacuum I have ever owned and I have spent a lot of money over the years for all the best that were advertised. I couldn't believe how much the Oreck picked up that my old vacuum did not. The 2-speed handle is easy to use and my friend that has arthritis can even use it easily as it is ergonomic friendly. It seems to weight nothing ... can't believe something so powerful is so light. It is low profile and the soft top and sides make it easy to clean around and under furniture without scratching it. Side brushes make cleaning baseboards and edges easier too. The direct suction and roller brush rotating seem to draw dirt right into the bag. The brush grooms the nap as it cleans, which can extend the life of your carpet and flooring. The built in HEPA filtration system is made to trap about 99%+ of all the dust and allergens. I purchased the Oreck vacuum last year. It is a great machine. I also received the iron and the compact vacuum for free. The light- weight of the Oreck is also a plus.

I bought an Oreck package deal that includes the Oreck upright and canister vacuums. I LOVE them - the suction is more powerful than any other vacuum I've ever owned - and I have owned alot of them. The customer service is wonderful. What I especially like is that they spread the payments over one year so it is affordable. It is now not the chore it has always been to vacuum, especially when you know the house is getting really clean!I thoroughly recommend this to everyone. I guess one drawback is that it is not bagless, but I think that is a small price to pay for the job it does.

A few years ago, our vacuum cleaner died. We looked at all kinds of models until I heard about Oreck on the Late Paul Harvey's radio show. I thought I'd give it a try, and boy! Am I glad I did!

The first time I used it was late afternoon. The sun was streaming in the window and I noticed something I hadn't seen before while vacuuming... Nothing! No dust particles floating around in the sunbeam! All the dirt was staying inside the Celok bag, just the way it was supposed to.

The Oreck is lightweight, yet rugged. Easy to change the bags, it is self adjusting for hard or carpeted floors, and even has a built-in headlight so you can see every little detail.

I heartily recommend the American-built and crafted with pride Oreck XL Ultra.

After going thru a new vaccuum about every year I decided to buy a Oreck, something I had hoped would stand up to a household of 4 children..all boys! I cannot express to you enough how well this vaccuum works! I have sucked up Lego's without a problem (I do try to pick everything up but sometimes something slip thru). The only thing I wish the Oreck had was onboard tools, but then I guess if it did it wouldn't be as light weight as it is....

After much research, I decided to buy an Oreck. I'm not disappointed! Light weight, easy to use! Love the hyperallegenic bags. I formally had a dirt devil canister vac--the Oreck blows the Dirt Devil away! Love the complimentary hand vac and iron the were the bonus gifts as well!...

As much as I love the Oreck XL Ultra vacuum because of its power, there is an annoying disadvantage with it. In order to vacuum narrow areas or sweep/dust cobwebs you need a canister because the Oreck XL isn't designed for attaching tools. That being said, it does an excellent job picking up dog hair and removing allergens that are in the air and carpeting.

Oreck also has a phenomenal warranty and service agreement that can't be beat. I've owned other vacuums that, after 1 or 2 years, if something breaks, you either have to replace it or hope it can be repaired. The warranty with Oreck is yearly maintainance on their product for 10 years!

It really is an amazing product with superior customer service too.

It is so lightweight and cleans unlike any other vacuum I have ever owned! I just wish it had the ability to attach tools.

The Oreck XL upright vacuum is great if you have both rugs and hardwood floors. There are no attachments to change, it goes from carpets to hardwood floors, to tile floors, and linoleum, with no problem. Be cautious if you have fringe on your rugs as this powerful vacuum may eat the fringe. I purchased my Oreck after recuperating from a slipped disk and the vacuum was light enough to handle without hurting my back.

My Oreck XL is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever had. It has great suction and picks up more and works quicker than any vacuum I've used. When trying to reach under a coffee table, the Oreck bends back far enough to allow you to get under things you can't with most upright vaccumes. I also really appreciate that we can use scent inserts so that a nice scent is left after vacuuming. Mulberry is my favorite!...

I love the fact that it is so lightweight, and does a wonderful job of cleaning. Easy to change the dust bag. Also love the smaller companion vacuum that has a shoulder strap for easy carrying. The Oreck upright is the only vacuum cleaner that I have used for the last twenty years....
