bethmitchum says "Nice idea, but doesn't work with all cat litter types." about Omega Paw Rollaway

When I saw these Omega Paw litter boxes in the store, I thought they sounded like a really good idea, but I never bought one. I kept going for the tried and true litter pan with the tall hood for privacy and aesthetics. However I inherited one of these boxes when I adopted an older cat who came with all her own food, litter box, and stair steps because she is a really short cat. I have been thrilled with the steps. The new cat went crazy over the cat food I was feeding my guy and never looked back at her old food. The litter box? I'll just say that I think it is a great idea, but it doesn't work with all litter types, and the one I use is one that doesn't work well with it, so I have to lift the lid and scoop it out just like the other litter boxes I use for my 4 cats, and it is more of a challenge to scoop litter from it because it wasn't designed for scooping. It was designed for rolling. So if you use a typical clay litter, then you may be happy with the box, but be sure...
...

This box save me from having to roll up my sleeves and dig in the poo. My cats aren't afraid of an enclosed litter box. It also really helps keep my house smelling fresher to have the litter box enclosed.
...

I bought one of these about 5 years ago. I was using a traditional scoop litter box and it was a complete mess! This litter box is very low maintenance and neat. Rarely do I have litter on the floor. I flip it once a day and am done! I find the litter lasts longer too and there is never an odor. I just bought a replacement because the other was just getting kind o old and tattered....

GloriaCR says "Great idea and inexpensive " about Omega Paw Rollaway

It is a wonderful idea easy to clean the litter box, just tip it and it sifts they litter for you. Empty the tray and all the chunks are gone. It costs about the same as a regular litter box.

The only problem is the gate/ sifting partition makes half of the litter box unusable for the cats. This means they have only a small area to enter, turn around, and do their business. I have one very large tiger cat. He has no room to turn around in so he will not use it any more. The small cat still uses it.

I wish they would make the litter box a little bigger. I know I am not the only one who has a cat that is a bobcat size cat.
...

I first bought this box when my cat was only a few weeks old after trying th eexpensive self cleaning ones. She took to it immediatly. I found that is was so easy to use, and ended us saving me a lot of litter. I even use the World's Best cat litter with it and it still works great. Now that I have more cats I gave it away to a friend that only has one. I found that it is to small for multiple cats (they all would choose the same box to use!) but my friend adores it. The price and quality are great, I have had it for about two years and it still works great. Best of all it doesn't need batteries....

Those of us who love our cats, don't always love cleaning the litterbox. Omega Paw makes it easy! A clean litter box makes for a happy cat, and a happy owner (who doesn't have to clean up a mess!) It also makes for a healthier cat.

Remember to spay or neuter!
...

CannedPeach says "Best Litter Box on the Planet" about Omega Paw Rollaway

This litter box rules. I have bought two of the litter maid self cleaning litterboxes and neither of them lasted. There was always odor, litter all over the floor, dirty foot prints/swipes on the wall. It was embarrassing. I paid $100 and $150 for these and they didn't last but a few months. I have three cats inside and when one goes the others go.

Not anymore...With this litter box I simply roll it over about two times a day, pull out the tray and dump. You can't smell the litter box anymore, I paid less than $30, no more dirty paws on the floor, and the amount of litter on the floor is minimal. It was easy to put together and the cats didn't have an issue with an enclosed space.

They love it, I love it. I would definately reccommend this product to anyone....

This litter box is the best. I just bought my second (the large version) after haveing the regular size for about 3 years. The box is great, you just fill with litter to the line. When cleaning, roll the box over and the clumps fall into a sliding tray and the other litter is sifted through a grate. There are clasps that hold the lid on tight to the bottom.

The regular size is fine but keep in mind the grate takes up about 1/3 of the box. I have 2 cats and they don't seem to mind. I just bought the larger box since they are getting bigger.

I would recommend this box to anyone. I find it to be great since you don't have to scoop and can clean the box quickly without getting dirty.
...

IrishRush says "Cleaning a litter box doesn't get easier than this!" about Omega Paw Rollaway

This is a litter box that eliminates mopst of the time spent cleaning dirty litter boxes. A simple roll to the right, tap the bottom a couple times, roll back to the left, remove the tray and dump it, and voila! you're done! No touching of feces or urine clumps, it's much more sanitary than the standard scooping with a hand-held scoop. And the cover keeps the cats from kicking the litter out onto the floor around the box. I actually gave one of these as a gift to a friend who got a kitten for the first time - it can't be beat!...

momtaylor37 says "No more scooping!!" about Omega Paw Rollaway

This is such a great litter box! We started out with the traditional closed box and scoop for 3 cats. I was recommended this by a family member. We decided on the big one for more room. It is so much better than scooping! All you have to do is pull it out, roll all the way to the right on the roof, tilt it back a little left, pull out the tray and dump it into a bag! So much easier and cleaner than scooping!! My cats weigh 15lb or less and have plenty of room to do their business. If you can find it, it is worth getting more than one!...

This is the greatest litterbox ever made, especially if you have more than one cat. We have saved over $100.00 a month on litter costs after implementing the Omega Paw litter boxes. Roll the box over, the clean litter goes behind the grill and the clumps fall into the pull out tray. We use small trash bags to empty the drawer into, then use the empty drawer to add litter to the box. Less bending, no scooping.

We have three "Jumbo" cats - 20 to 40 pounds. Sadly, Omega Paw has apparently stopped making their biggest model. Should have stocked up when they had them. Over time, they will start to crack, but we've had four of them now for over six years and they are still in great shape.

Most pet stores don't carry them "in house", but you can order them on line at several places. They just save you so much money on litter and other "supplies" I guess the stores felt they were losing too much money in litter sales.

Tried them all. Never buy an "automatic" box - they just don't...
...

I HAD BOUGHT A MOTORIZED CAT BOX THAT DIDN'T LAST LONG AND DISLIKED THE KITTY LITTER SCOOPING.
I SAW THIS ON THE PETSMART WEB SITE AND DECIDED TO BUY IT SINCE THE IDEA IS SO SMART.
I BOUGHT IT AND THE CAT TOOK TO IT IMMEDIATELY.
THE SIFTER WORKS VERY WELL AND IF YOU DON'T OVERFILL IT; IT WORKS GREAT.
MY MOTHER LIKED THE IDEA SO MUCH THAT I BOUGHT ONE FOR HER AND SHE LOVES NOT HAVING TO STAND THEIR AND SIFT THROUGH IT.
JUST ROLL OVER, ROLL BACK, PULL OUT THE DRAWER AND DUMP.
ONCE EVERY FEW WEEKS I STILL CHANGE THE LITTER BOX AND CLEAN THOROUGHLY.
AND... THE CAT LIKES THE PRIVACY
DEPENDING UPON THE CAT FOOD FED TO YOUR CAT; THEIR SHOULDN'T BE AN ODOR ISSUE. I USE NUTRO AND THEIR IS VERY LITTLE ODOR.
...

A friend of mine showed me her rolling litter box; I was sold! I ordered one right away. This box rolls to the right first, onto its top then back to the left. You then open a tray and dump out the seperated clumps. Very nice! I have actually showed other friends my Rolling Litter Box. Imagine a litter box you are excited to show a friend.
...
