I've subcribed to the Oprah magazine off and one for quite some time and recently resubcribed encouraged by a pretty decent subscription rate offer. It is a nice big magazine so the price was a bargain. The magazine has lots of advertisements which I find my self bookmarking for later research. There are loads of articles but sometimes about half leave me feeling like I'm still waiting for more to come if you know what I mean (some leave you feeling like the article didn't quite reach its point). It is very nicely put together.I sometimes find that I have to read through it twice just to make sure I didn't miss something. When I am through with it there is always a friend or family member waiting to get their hands on it so it is a great magazine to share. The one thing I did notice is that many of the articles are self help or insightful thinking. I personally like a womans magazine that is well rounded with some of that but also articles that touch on home, food, etc. but there...
...

JenniferBond says "O Mag, the most well-rounded one out there!" about O, The Oprah Magazine

O-Magazine is one of the best on the market to me. I have read so many magazines for so many years. I absolutely love them. There is such a wide variety to choose from that you have to subscribe to so many to get everything out of them that you want. This magazine to me has everything in it that I need and want in a magazine and if I had to just choose one to subscribe to it would be this one.

It seems to me that this magazine is constantly printing articles to help women improve themselves. That to me is not necessarily a bad thing. We were not born perfect and I am always looking for ways to help make myself a better person. Oprah's magazine has articles to improve health physically and mentally. And I also love that it is a thick magazine. It's like sitting down to read a book and I save it for when I really have time to sit down and enjoy it.

I have found many good books to read from this as well. Generally when I take a tip from this magazine for a book to read I am happy I did so....
...

O, The Oprah Magazine is one of my absolute favorite women's magazines on the market today. I became a subscriber a couple of years ago because of the content of the magazine, which is even more varied than Oprah's television show. One reason the magazine appeals to me is it caters to most income brackets when showcasing products. Other glossy magazines normally parade high-end merchandise, which bugs me. Also, the women that are usually featured in O have realistic body sizes and shapes and the articles that address problems their problems with fashion and beauty are more relevant to me than those types of articles found in other women's magazines.

Along with interesting articles, O has great columnists, Dr. Phil and Suze Orman giving their particular doses of advice monthly and useful information on home, health and beauty. The photography work is always nice and the magazine is organized so the reader knows what to expect on a monthly basis.

O, The Oprah Magazine also is...
...

Oprah makes some great suggestions in her magazine O. She's a very positive person and her magazine must have some direct supervision because it's worth the read. The magazine is relatively inexpensive. Many women magazine will make you feel like you're not enough. This is not one of them....

My mom has been giving me a subscription to O since the very first issue. I am always drawn in by one of the cover blurbs but end up angry by the time I thumb my way to the actual article. The adds for high-end products, Oprah's expensive taste in favorites, and the touchy feely garbage that fill most of the pages makes me wonder....Who is this magazine for anyway? Who is this person who can afford multiples of $100 t-shirts and $500 boots? And why does one person need multiples of anything? Follow the advice of O contributor Suze Orman and cut up the credit card and donate the O to your local waiting room....

When this magazine arrives each month, whatever else I'm reading (which usually consists of several books and other magazines) gets put aside until I've read O from cover to cover. I like that each issue has a theme. Certainly, some months, and some articles, are more pertinent to my life than others, but I can always find something -- usually many things -- in each issue to keep my attention. Many pages end up dog-eared for future reference or action before I pass it along to my sister.

Many people who have never read this magazine assume it is "just another" women's magazine, along the lines of Cosmo or Vogue or, more domestically, Ladies Home Journal. When they actually get into it and see the quality of many of the articles, they are usually pleasantly surprised. Yes, there are sections on makeup and clothing, but that doesn't detract from the "serious" stuff -- we need both for a balanced life.
...

I am glad I did not pay for this as this thing is not my tatse or style at all.
