singlelane says "Nuby is NOT spill proof!" about Nuby Baby Bottle

We purchased several Nuby "spill-proof" sippy cups for our toddler. These items are far from spill proof. The only time they are spill proof is if they are standing upright and they accidentally get knocked over onto the same surface. But toddlers do not just knock cups over. They drop them and throw them. If one of these cups gets dropped from high-chair or table height and happens to land on the lid or ring, the ring and nipple will pop off and the contents will spill. Sometimes the ring just becomes dislodged but stays on the cup at an angle, but usually it just goes flying right off. I have never been so disappointed in a product in my life. The nipples also have a tendency to leak, not around the edges but through the mouth hole. To be fair, as long as they are not spilling all over the carpet or furniture, the cups seem to be well made. They aren't cheap or flimsy, and are easy to clean and assemble. BUT, one of the biggest reasons we made the purchase was for the "spill-proof" feature....
...

JenniferWhite says "Great for beggining the change from Bottle to Cup! " about Nuby Baby Bottle

I am a mother of two and my youngest daughter is almost 9 months old. I took my son off of his bottle when he was 9 months as well. I remember it being very easy for him. He took the "Nuby" cup and never looked back. So in coming apon the 9th month for my daughter I decided it was time to once again turn to old faithful "Nuby". It is avaliable at almost all grocery and even most retail that sell baby items. I found this one at Meijers on sale for $1.74 which in turn was cheaper than all the other baby cups on the shelf. There is also a good color selection for boys and girls. The cup I bought was a soft top like the bottle, and had a double slit in it. Its easy open and secures to prevent leakage! These cups are great for around the house and on the go! It has an almost hourglass shape to make for easier grip on the "new cup" starters! I we succeded with this product before, and I am sure we will be doing the same this time!

Nuby's are a good deal and work well as a first step for weaning baby off the bottle. You will go through them very quickly once your baby gets teeth and figures out he can bite off the slats in the nipple.
...

My son can't keep these more than a day and the he splits the nipple so that it is no longer leak proof. I also can't find just the replacement nipples so I end up having to buy a whole new cup. I am done now after 5 new cups, I have wasted enough money. Might reconsider if they sold just the nipples!
...

These are cheap but as soon as your child bites on the sippy part - it's no longer spill-proof or safe. The little plastic part on the top could easily be swallowed if they suck too hard. It's not worth replacing the tops.
...

kcholton says "Great for teething babies" about Nuby Baby Bottle

Nuby bottles are good for teething babies! Bought these for my daughter when she was about 4 months old -took a little while to get used to them -they have nubs on the nibble and a little different valve on it. She is 11 months old now and only uses them -and has only been using them since she was about 6 months old. We tried several brands - from Avent to Gerber. These bottles are easy for her to hold herself and come in a couple of sizes, I think 7oz and 9oz. The are relatively inexpensive and last a while. Easy to clean too. The nubs seem to sooth her sore swollen teething gums! She will take this bottle even when she is very sore teething and won't try anything else! Really helps when you need to get some formula down but they are fighting you because of their gums hurting. I Nuby also makes sippy cups and straw cups that have the flexible spouts - so it is easier to transition to them! I really like these bottles!!!
...

bioescapade says "Easy use" about Nuby Baby Bottle

These Nuby bottles were the best I had bought. Not only do the nipples comes in slow, medium and fast flow but they had roughness like little bumps to the nipples for the baby to grip them more easily also i think they had them on their for babies to bite on for those that are teething so it soothes them a bit. They also had a little rubber on the bottle caps and bottle rings for baby to bite on, like a little teething ring. The bottle itself is curvey with bumps on it where it made it easier for the baby to grab it and hold on to it. The best part is that these bottles are BPA Free and also cost a lot less than most of the other bottles! These Nuby Bottles also come in different colors so they qare really cute. So inexpensive and good is just some good reasons why i liked this item. Also I like that it can hold 11 oz so when i traveled i could carry more formula mith me and not to lug a jug of water with me, just would fill the bottle and put in a small cooler
...

playbbebe26 says "Nuby is the only brand I use for my Daugther" about Nuby Baby Bottle

After trying different bottles after my daugther's birth including Avent bottles that I found are too expensive and playtex bottle that seem cheap at first then with refills cost more then you would have ever expected.

I found Nuby and fell inlove with the great price points ranging from $1.98 for a sport spout bottle great for transition to the taller 10oz bottle with handles for about $5.00. The 10oz comes with comfort handles that are easy to hold for the smallest hands and removeable for cleaning.

The nipple options will guide you from newborn to cup easily starting with a breast like easy flow no leak then moving to a teething nipple that soothes a baby into comfort, the sport spout which makes sippy cups second nature when offered, the sports straw is great for on the go.

Nuby bottles come in both small and wide top options I found that wide mouth is much better when using dry formula and reduces waste and mess.

I will never use another brand of bottle the true non-leak and...
...

I as a mother look for anything that makes my life easier. I found the NUBY baby bottles for about $1 per bottle. what a deal right? well on the package it says no leak! i thought to myself , yeah right they always say that and it never seems to really work.To my amazement i found out that they do not leak!
Bfastattiffanys says "Not a long term sippy cup." about Nuby Baby Bottle

Nuby Sippy Cup

This sippy cup is something I would recommend for keeping in the diaper bag in case you forget the good sippy cup. It is not for long-term everyday use in my opinion.

They are easy for a baby or toddler to get fluid from, however if they are prone to chewing on everything and have several teeth the drinking piece will quickly break. Too much chewing on the drinking piece will cause a small piece of plastic to break off and not only cause fluid to flow freely from the spout, it can be a choking hazard. I have pulled two from my son's mouth before I finally realized it didn't withstand much use.

Also, since the cup is made from plastic I checked the number on the bottom of the cup and it was an 8. I have heard that any number above a 7 on a plastic item is a higher risk for BHP exposure.

The cups are extremely cheap. I have found them for under $2 but you definitely get what you pay for.

...
