I have flown northwest all the time, and have never had a bad experience with this airline. The last time I flew northwest, I was with my family and had two children under the age of seven. One of them bit her finger, when the flight attenden heard her cry she went and got some ice for her, and a bandaid. This was a very generious and kind gesture from the flight attendent. I would say that these flight attendents do care about there passengers, and are really wonderful men and women. I would recommend this airline to anyone, and it is one of the only choices to fly anywhere from North Dakota. If people think this airline is so bad they need to think, about all the other airlines. Every passenger is not going to get one on one interaction each flight, except getting asked what they would like to drink or if they have any garbage. This is a great airline and has some really wonderful people working for them.

We chose Northwest airlines because we have used them in the past and have been somewhat pleased. When we arrived at the airlines we were greeted nicely and boarded on time. All went well till we had been in the air for about 10 minutes. The light fixture fell off the light onto me. Ok so that started concerning me thinking if this is not working what else could not have been checked. They came around to pass drinks out and my daughter put her tray down to put her drink on and it was broken. So she couldnt put her drink down. She later used mine. If it wasnt family next to her she would have no where to put her drink. I thought the airplane is checked for these problem after each flight apparently not. Is everything checked after each flight. This might sem minor to most ,but it makes you wonder how many other things are overlooked. We got no sorry from a flight attendant. She just laughed. Well to me it is not funny. The online check-in was not working for my flight and the flingtwas at 6:20am,

So I haveto leave home at 4 AM to get to the airport and wait until 6 when someone finally showes up to check bags and check-in 200 people, oh yea 2 people for that. this hasgotto be the worst airline in the US bar none (Delta NWA KLLM). They all suck.

Northwest has some good and bad. Unfortunately, Delta is taking over and forcing its way.

Northwest's meteorological service is well respected. Follow the red tails was the motto before. All airlines have fluctuations in service and Northwest is no exception. However, I've had slightly better service with them compared to some of the major airlines. Once they damaged my bag and they did not footdrag. Instead, they gave me a new bag on the spot.

Some good points of the frequent flyer program exists but it's a dying program since Delta is killing it. So review of it would be very short lived.

I like the Northwest paint scheme but that is just advertising. Some airlines look a bit ugly, especially American.

Northwest used to be called Northworst but I think that is no longer deserved. They did have some heavy handed labor practices before but that is also just historical.

Northwest's safety record is pretty good. Their last big crash was back in the late 80's with...

My name is Lorna Quitugua, My Family and I arranged for my parents to vacation and visit with families in the US. They were traveling from Guam. Departing Guam 7-14-09 and arriving 7-15-09. Flight route was Guam - Hawaii - Seattle round trip a total of $ 3,451.12. FLT 2 Guam then FLT 626. Guam to Hawaii was 7hr 25min flight with with lay over in Hawaii of 4hrs 30min. My mom is 68 Dad is 75yrs old.

They boarded the plane and mom asked if dad could sit next to her because she was not feeling well and stress she will feel allot better if dad sits next to her. She had body aches due to arthritis. She then was escorted out the plane with dad and was directed to security and the police.

My nephew whom is my sister son who resides in Hawaii was contacted by the police in to come get them. My parents did not want to leave the plane but were escorted out. They tried to go back to ticket counter fix the situation to getting there flight to Seattle. They...

I fly with Northwest all the time and they never let me down. My most recent flight was from MCO to DTW and it went very smoothly. Check in was quick and no hassle, boarding was quick too. The cabin was clean and the seat were comfortable. The flight crew was very professional and pleasant. The pilot kept us in formed through out the flight that was on time. I just had another great experiance with Northwest, It was between MCo and HNL via MSP. The flight from MCO to MSP (first class) was on-time and clean the crew was amazing helpful and nice. The aircraft had new tv screens located above the seats on either sides of the isle. On the MSP - HNL leg of the flight (World Business Class) the seats were very comfortable. With lie flat seats and AVOD it was wonderful, to top it all of there were lumbar massages in the seat and that loosened my back right up. The crew was great going and coming (man I love Northwest flight attendants they are the best) I will only fly on them no matter where...

On our flight to Honolulu, our connecting flight was late. NWA knew we were a little late but closed the gate door on us 10 minutes before the flight time. We arrived 9 minutes before and could see them close the door. They refused to let us on. They told us to take it up with Alaska because their flight was late and it was their problem.

On the return flight, they did not book us in seats together despite having empty rows that they were trying to sell just before the flight.

After sending in a complaint letter, they offered a pathetic $50 voucher.

Northwest Airlines has its pros and cons. The seats are a little more comfortable then many other airlines planes, but the leg room can be a little cramped. Once on a 9 hour flight from Amsterdam to Minneapolis/St. Paul I had only 3 inches of space under the seat in front of me. The flight was full so the overhead compartments were completely full. Exactly where was I supposed to put my bag? The staff is typically friendly and the food a little better then most. One of their hub cities, Minneapolis/St. Paul, is one of my favorite airports, so I end up picking NWA from time to time because I prefer flying through that airport.

I have been loyal NWA customer for 10+ years and have had Platnium status for several years. Last year, due to extreme weather, I was not able to take one flight and due to which I was 1400 miles short of 75000 miles needed for Platinum status. After contacting NWA, I was told that I have flown partner airlines more than NWA. I gave all the needed details that majority of my travel was on NWA (78%) and the segments which are not served by NWA were taken on partner airlines - but no response. I have contacted several times - in fact, I was ready to pay additional money to get the elite status adjusted - but no response.

I had contacted NWA around Dec 20 about the trip cancellation due to weather and asking them about considering my elite status - that time, they told me that they are going to consider long time loyal customers. but, now they are not even ready to listen - I fell cheated. I have sent several mails to them.

I understand that there is a rule of having 75000 miles...

I am a very offten traveler and I like most people want to get to my destionation ontime. The area I live in serves NWA. Some times its the only way I can go because of times or prices for my company budget. I was going to Orlando for a advertising convention. On the way there I connected through Detriot. Got delayed half and hour. But still I got there. Then when I got there I found out that my bags had never made it on to my second flight. A later flight brought them, THE NEXT MORING. But that isant the bad part. On the way back there was a snow storm when I was going to take my conection flight home. But when we were suppost to leave it was only snowing lightly. We had to sit in the plane for about 30 minutes because a passengers bags were onboard the flight but the person its slef was not onbaord. They can not leave beacuse it could be a terrorist. But sure enough the person was on the flight and the gate agent didnt scan the pass corectly. So were second to go on the run way and the......

When I flew to Japan for the first time from LAX,the service from Flight attendants were awesome.

They were very friendly and there were 2 Japanese speakers onboard who were very polite and offering good services.

I was sitting on the business class so I could feel more service-oriented spirit from Flight attendants.If you fly on business class,I recommend.

The seat was comfortable,lots of movies from old to new,games and good foods!
