Sun, 18 Oct 2009 01:55:03 GMT http://www.viewpoints.com/Nokia-6010-Cell-Phone--139095-review-f17c3 TimothyL 5 http://www.viewpoints.com/Nokia-6010-Cell-Phone--139095-review-8ba0 <p>The Nokia 6010 is aexcellent starter cell phone.  it provides the functionality that a person needs from a cell phone without all the bells and whistles that most basic cell phone users never utilize or need.  The ability to make a call when stranded on the road or to be contacted by family members  that are worried about you makes this the optimum model for senior citizens and non-technically proficient users.  The lack of distracting menu options increases the functionality of this model.   The fact that this is often offered as a fee introduction to entice users into more expensive models and plans should not be a deterrent to careful consideration of this model as a starter unit.  If the functionality is insufficient then look into an upgrade,  don't jump on the sales pitch wagon.  The Nokia 6010 that my wife and I have had for over 4 years have suffered many drops onto hardwood floors, cement pavements, and one fall from the roof of a van at 5 mph without other than cosmetic...</p>... Some phones are so small, it is difficult to use the keys on the phone,but not with my Nokia 6010.  It has all the features I need in a phone.  The phones stability, durability and ability to maintain service, between towers, is why I will always use my Nokia6010.  I do hope Nokia continues to make these phones. I have owned other brands, but there is just no comparison in the quality of this phone. With other phones losing power, after a minimal amount of use, I am pleased everytime I'm reminded by a a friend of how many problems they are having with their current cell phone.  I always recommend the Nokia 6010,... It just dose what a phone is supposed to do.  This phone has great reception and the volume control is great, I never have problems hearing the person on the other line, unlike my husbands razor phone you can never hear anything from the other side.  It's also a great phone because you can get cute little covers for it....
