This is a great chick flick, kept me crying through the whole thing. There were also some funnie parts but it is definatly a chick flick. It has a very great plot. I definatly would recomend sitting down and watching it with your kids.

The casting was perfect, an easy movie to get lost in and the girl not only gets the guy, but a great food and life ,too!....

I thought the movie was good but it could have needed a little more romance in the movie. I hated how the romance only lasted about 5 minutes in the movie and that was at the end. I wish they were to extend that more. I love romance movies and this movie wasnt my top one but it was still good!...

I enjoyed watching this movie. I went to movie theare with my niece and watched again when it came out on DVD.

I love cooking myself. Couldn't take my eyes off the film.

This movie started off slowly and got getter as it went. At first I thought it was going to be sas and disjointed. None of the characters seems to connect and the main character seemed to be a real witch with no redeeming qualities.

As the movie progressed, it became obvious that the main character did have some hidden depth. All's well that ends well!

This is a movie everyone can enjoy. Probably not a major award winner, but it certainly fits the bill of why we like to watch movies. Plus, it givees you an interesting peek into the world of gourmet food and restaurants. Very entertaining....

No Reservations is a 2007 movie starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Kate, a renouned Chef in Manhatten and Aaron Eckhart as Nick, an up and coming Chef who wants to study under Kate and Abigail Breslin, as Zoe. This movie is a remake of a 2001 German move, Mostly Martha. Having not seen the original, I can't compare the two. However, I throughly enjoyed No Reservations.

The Plot

The plot of No Reservations focuses around Kate, an executive Chef who runs the kitchen at a well established and well known restaurant in Manhatten. She runs a tight kitchen and the others respect her, as well as fear her at times. The movie opens with a phone call from her sister who is driving into town with her daugher, Zoe, for a visit. Kate goes to work as usual but receives a phone call during her shift and is informed that her sister was in an accident and was killed. She leaves immediately to go to the hospital to see her niece, who thankfully wasn't seriously hurt.

Kate becomes the guardian......

In "No Reservations" Catherine Zeta-Jones does some fantastic acting and a fabulous job of cooking up some laughs! This is a heart-warmer centered around a dead sister and a motherless child which Zeta-Jones' character takes into her home and her very structured life. Not the best at being a mom at first, she quickly gets it into gear with the help of the love-interest in this film and they all click together beautifully. I saw this movie three times and I'm telling you... its worth watching. :D...

This is an American remake of a 2001 German film, Bella Martha.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was a little let down by the film. I guess since it came out about the same time as The Game Plan (2007 Dwayne Johnson), maybe I thought they would be similar - upbeat and fast with a precocious child. I find that I enjoyed Martian Child (2007 John Cusak) much more even with the heavier emotion of the Cusak film. It was very similar to Baby Boom (1987 Diane Keeton). Despite my lack of enthusiasm, No Reservations is refreshing as it does not have an explicit sex scene, and there are no inappropriate words to beep out - hard to find in today's movies.

Yes, I cried at the beginning when the sister died and again when Zoe is found at her mother's grave. I was worried when the school principle threatened to send a report to Child Protective Services. My heart is not made of rock. I did notice how they made Catherine Zeta-Jones look drawn and physically/emotionally exhausted - that was......

These days it is hard to find a good movie the whole family can enjoy without a bunch of profanity, violence, and sex. This movie hits the mark. Some might say it is "slow", but they are the ones looking for all the for mentioned. Someone else stated, "implies that sex is had". Well thats the way a movie should be. Yea, we all have sex, out of marriage and in, but do we always need to see it on the screen? Can't it be, implied, like it use to be. ie...cut to the curtains, window, trees, etc...Why do we need to see it? Does that sell tickets? Yes, unfortunately in today's world, that is what sells tickets!

I have come to really like Catherine Zeta-Jones as an actress and she plays a great role in this lighthearted drama. She stars as Kate, an award winning chef who is not only a perfectionist but also anal-retentive. Her life is thrown for a loop when tragedy strikes and she becomes guardian of her niece. Not only does she have to quickly learn to be a parent, but she must also learn to deal with a new arrogant chef who has come to take Kate's place at her restaurant while Kate gets her life together. The movie is filled with comedy and drama as Kate learns to find love and happiness in her life. This is a fun movie to watch and you will be enticed by the amazing food the chefs create....

I was surprised by this movie. Shortly after the movie began I realized it was going to be different from what I expected. I just thought it would be a fun love story that involved yummy scenes of cooking. It does include love, and it does include yummy scenes of cooking, but it has a lot more depth than that. I won't give anything away but I highly recommend it. Catherine is fabulous and the man (can't think of his name right now) is delicious. Her niece in the movie is one to love (she was first in Little Miss Sunshine)....

"No Reservations" will reignite an intrigue for cooking and the artistic expression found therein. As an NYC lover, the shooting of this film is beautiful as well. The plot did seem to give an emotional roller coaster which may not have been completely necessary 100% of the time, but it's an adorable film of people learning to love and live all over again....

This story is just a feel good movie. A little girl is sent to live with her aunt when her mom dies. Unfortunately the aunt has no clue how to raise a kid, let alone do it and run a kitchen. She is a well known chef at a local restaurant and finds raising a kid hard to do. The restaurant hires an assistant chef to help her. This causes some major problems, but it eventually all gets resolved and love starts to bloom. A really good movie for the whole family
