JunkersHVN says "A great accessory if you can overlook the strange design." about Nintendo Wii Zapper

I got a Nintendo Wii a while back, mainly for the Wii Sports game that came with it. Of course, you can't have a game system and not purchase at lease a few games and accessories. While browsing the selection of games and accessories at the store, I came across the Wii Zapper. The design looked strange but it was only $20 and it came with a game, so I figured it would be worth a try.

The Wii Zapper is not a controller in itself, it's just a housing for the Wii Remote and Nunchuck. The remote and nunchuck install easily into the housing but you have to remove the rubber "remote jacket" if you got one of the newer Wii consoles, which is quite a nusiance. Aside from that assembly is pretty easy. There is even a compartment where you can wind up the excess Nunchuck cord to keep it out of the way.

The design takes a moment to get used to, since it's more like a tommy gun than the common pistol shape. The design was partially to allow the trigger to press the B button on the Wii...
...

The Wii Zapper is an accessory that the Wiimote and Nunchuk fit into and create a gun-like device for the Wii. It is well-designed and fits the same style as the Wii and other acessories. Putting the Wiimote into the Wii Zapper is really easy. Attaching the Nunchuk is also easy, but invloves an extra step of coiling up the extra cable inside a compartment of the Zapper. Once assembled, the Wii Zapper is vey easy to use, can be used by a left- or right-handed person, and the controls/buttons/trigger all work really well. The Zapper helps to keep the Wiimote pointed at the senor bar while playing shooting and first person shooter games.

Link's Crossbow Training comes with the Wii Zapper. It contains 10 levels, each containing 3 different shooting games. The shooting games fall into a few types: shooting gallery (some with moving targets), skeet shooting (think "Duck Hunt"), mini first-person shooter-like levels, and more. The gamess are designed to teach you how to utilize...
...
