gregsname says "One of the best action games for the wii so far." about Nintendo Wii - Resident Evil 4

Resident evil 4 hits the wii! The controls are very good for this game, some waving and aiming, not complicated but it was built good. Take on hoards of "ganados" in this action and survival game. It has some puzzles to it, like i heard all RE games have, but i was a little disapointed the first time I played it, i was waiting to shoot zombies while the whole time i was facing the real enemy. once you get past that though it is a great game offering two story modes, one with Leon and the other with Ada, and two arcade modes, one is the missionaries and the other is agent ADA. Their is tons of replay value for this game and is a must own for the wii, saying you didn't play it on another console unless you wanted the wii feel, especially now that i started to see it on the $19.99 racks and displays. I just hope the next game is as good or better than this one and it comes out on the wii....

rcurran213 says "Great use of Wii controllers" about Nintendo Wii - Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 for the Wii console doesn't disappoint. The game diverges from the traditional zombie foes into a cult called Los Iluminados. Because of this, many of the enemies are not as creepy looking as those of the past, but some definitely are. Namely, the monsters that pop up towards the final chapters, which have spikes protruding from their bodies and are very hard to kill, especially since they can regrow body parts. The chainsaw-wielders are also no joke, being able to kill you with a swift decapitation. There were a few unexpected pop-ups from enemies that even made me jump. The Wii console offers a new way of playing by having you shake the main controller in a certain manner while holding another button in order to reload your weapons. The controller also allows you to knife swipe at nearby enemies (although I wouldn't suggest you do so with enemies more threatening than the villagers at the beginning, unless you've run out of ammo). Using this "knife," you can also activate......

Resident evil 4 is an awesome Game. The designers did a good job with the controls. Once you get used to them, all the movements just come natural. The game has just enough ammo, life, funds, weapons and difficulty. Just wished the resident 5 was coming out for the wii. RE4 is worth every penny....

First things first! As you can tell from my screen name I am huge silent hill fan. Silent hill is also a horror survival game much like resident evil. They have competed with each other for awhile now and all I have to say is me oh my. Resident evil 4 really brought innovation to the new survival horror. Resident evil has always been known for there horrible camera angles and even worst controls. In four they totally start from scratch changing the control sceem and fixing the dodgy camera angles. RE4 goes with a over the shoulder view apposed from being in 3rd person constantly that has been seen from Capcom previous Resident evil games. Which helps very much on aiming and trust you will have to aim. Head shots are the most important thing to do. Ammo is scarce and you will have to reserve as much bullets as you can thought out the game.

Now about the game! The game starts you off in basely the middle of no where were you play the protagonist Leon Kennedy which if you have played......

I've only played this game on the Wii--never on any other system--and it's gotten me into first person shooters for the first time since Descent back in the 1840's! It's a fun game, and they've done well enough with the scary music and graphics that it actually does get your heart jumping. Wait till you start hearing the chanting! The weapons are good, and there is at least 20-25 hours of gameplay in the game on easy mode. Once you complete the game, you unock hard mode, which is what I'm going for next. This makes the game a good value, especially if you buy it used from EB Games, Amazon or Half.com, and especially if you sell it once you've sucked all the play out of it. THe Wii controls, which also use the nunchuk, are intuitive and responsive. It takes a little bit to get used to the controls, but you should be able to pick it up within the first segment of the game. The dialogue is a little cheesy, and the graphics won't compare to Xbox or anything, because it isn't a new game, but......

Great graphics, great controls. Very detailed game, well worth it's price tag. I have beaten this game twice, and it is still fun. Considering all the new weapons and items you can get, you will want to continue to play this game!

When this game came out, it was only $29.99. It is still this price! Amazing how much fun you can get out of this game for this price while other games are $49.99.

I had this for the PS2, but aiming with the analog is a challenge. People say you need to get used to it, but I never got used to it. I am so glad this game came out for the Wii. The Wii remote makes it SO easy to pay first/third person shooter.
...

PghMom says "Quick Resident Evil Zombie Shooter" about Nintendo Wii - Resident Evil 4

Being a HUGE Resident Evil fan, I struggled on whether or not to give this game 4 stars. It's a great shooter and gives the RE fans different game play. It was awesome. I wasn't happy with the lack of ammo and health on some of the levels for such a fun game, but being in the first person and revisiting the mansion was such a bonus, I got over being killed multiple times in the same spot. A couple Wesker levels are pretty difficult but I'm still trying. However, the replay value of the other levels makes up for it. The Wii-mote fits into either the cross bow trainer(Link) or the gun. I found that while I had more fun using the gun, it was easier to play hold the Wii-mote and nunchuk. You can play two players, which at times was a bit difficult only because we had to follow different commands at the same time.If you play, you'll see what I mean, but it isn't anything that you can't get through. Over all, this was just a fun shooter with a RE theme. Enjoyable but I gave it 3 stars because......

Having never played RE4 on the Gamecube, or any other platform, I had no preconceived notions going into this game. The Wii is a platform, intended or not, that was designed for first person type shooters. Even with RE4 being the same as the Gamecube version with Wii controls, this game did not disappoint. The controls are spot on and the aiming reticule accurately follows the direction of the Wii remote.

From the very beginning, it was obvious why this game was considered one of the best games ever on the Gamecube. The graphics and details are highly polished and add incredibly to the immersion factor.

The game is very well paced. It starts off gradually and picks up with intensity steadily throughout the game. The environments are spectacular and so well done that you will get creeped out thinking a zombie is standing behind you!

This is definitely a must own for the Wii. Plus with the decision to sell the game at $30 initially made it impossible to pass up. Get this game today. You...
...

A great game. easily the best game i've played in a few years - and for only 30 bucks. You get at least 40 hours of play time if you play the regular game and all of the extra features. This is a game you will want to play through over a few times.
I have been playing video games for decades now and one of my all time favourite video games ever made was the incredible Resident Evil 4. This intense surivor horror game not only had great controls and excellent weapons but it was one of the best looking games in 2005 and I even liked seeing my head get cut off by a chainsaw since it looked so cool. Because of it's success the game was quickly ported to other consoles and now it even makes a stop off at the Nintendo Wii as well. Can the new controls here revive this remake or is it too little, too late?

The game's story reminds uncharged from the earlier editions of RE4. The events here take place 6 years after the disaster in Resident Evil 2. The Umbrella Corporation that was responsible for an massive zombie infestation is no longer in business after the huge scandal and survivor Leon Kennedy is now a highly skilled secret agent. Leon is now on a new mission to find and rescue the president's daughter (Ashley) from a remote European......
