The board is a miracle!!! It makes working out a lot of fun and is quick easy and at your convenience!!! It monitors your weight, gives health tips and measures your BMI (body mass index). It records your progress and supports you in your goals that you set!! You can see how long you work out for and decide what type of workout you want to under take! It can however make you soar the next day because it is a work out!! It is heaven sent and saves you a lot of time and money by replacing the need for a gym membership!! You can do aerobics, balance games, yoga, and many more things. There are a lot of games to unlock and a lot of difficulty levels for each game too!! The technology is just out of this world and I am very thankful for it, without it I just would not have the time for exercise!! People love to come over and use it you can take turns with on multi-player and try to beat old records. I would recommend the Wii Fit to anyone it is out of this world!!!
...

dandscross says "The Hula Hoop is the greatest workout" about Nintendo Wii Fit

I wanted one of these so bad when they came out but waited. I am one of those people that get so gung ho about stuff and do it for a few months but then life gets hectic and things move to back burner. Like the gym membership I pay for each month but have not been in 3 months. I worried the Wii Fit would one of those things. That I would use it once and then stick it in the corner.
The first time I used it, I did every single yoga pose, strength exercise, aerobics, and balance test they had. I will tell you the next morning I woke so sore. I took an easy the next day.
The yoga is great. You can do it in the privacy of your own home and do not have to worry about lookin like a dork because you can not do some pelican reach!
The Hula Hoop in the aerobics section is so much fun. I can really feel my mid-section getting a workout plus my kids love watching me do it. (well, they mainly point and laugh)
For those moms out there that have every intention of going to that gym they for this thing......

Arrowkindagirl says "Great way to introduce a new way of living" about Nintendo Wii Fit

Wii Fit, the sound of that just made me want to roll my eyes. So needless to say going into the store to purchase this for one of my family members I was a tad skeptical. But, I saw how much fun he was having with it, so I decided to join in and register my little Mii character. After finding out how much I weighed I find that I'm under the right amount of pounds for someone my height. So I set a goal for myself, which is a neato torpedo feature, set a goal and how long you should take to reach that goal. I found I was having a lot of fun, the more rigorous exercises were difficult to measure accurately but doing yoga and jogging was pretty sure fire in measuring your balance and all that good stuff. "Breathe in and out" Reminding you to breathe through out the exercise was a good idea ;)

That being said, the scale is a little wishy-washy and no real guidance on how long you should go or what will be good for you or what won't depending on your personal fitness.
...

afloyd says "This game is fun, but can make you really mad." about Nintendo Wii Fit

I purchased the wii fit game hoping that it could help me out with my workouts. I find working out to be a challenge. I hoped that this could make it a little more enjoyable. I love the game myself. I find it fun, yet difficult at the same time. My husband however has only stepped on the wii balance board two times. Both times he got on the board and worked out he was very frustrated. He believes that the game will make you more mad than it is worth. I do wish that some of the games were a little easier starting out, but then you probably would not get a good workout. I was sweating a lot in about twenty minutes of use. I was very surprised at how well it worked. I had read mixed reviews on how much of a workout you actually received. I found that if you do the game properly it will really get you sweating and tired. If I had it to do over again, I would buy the game again. I would not use it as a sole means to working out, but it is a great supplement.
...

I love Wii Fit - I am trying to get back in shape after years of not exercising - I like that you can track your progress. My favorite feature is that you can change the view of the trainer so you can see an exercise demo from front or back - it helps to make sure that you are doing the execise corrently. The balance games are fun - I used to be terrible at them but I am now doing much better.
...

So, my husband lobbied for the Wii and then the Wii sit. Actually, I think he got me the Wii for my birthday, so I couldn't refuse. I was hooked enough to buy the Wii fit without further coercion. I really like it. We have a few compatible games, but I prefer the one it comes with. They are very varied and you get more games as you progress. I like the balance games because I am a klutz, I really think that they might help. And they are fun! I only mind the aerobic games a bit, which is quite a compliment coming from me. The hula hooping is good for working up a sweat and exersicing the post baby abs. My six year old uses the Wii fit and really likes it, my three year old can manage a few of the games. Gramma would love it, if she wasn't so crabby. my only complaint is that it weighs you and comments on your weight. I know I am fat without the comments and I'd rather my six year old not have her weight critiqued. i wish there was a way to avoid this feature,...
...

We bought the nintendo wii as a way for me to loose my baby weight. I was very excited when I finally got it for I had been wanting it for months. I love how the wii keeps track of your weight and weight changes. It helps me have a consistent program to track my progress. It is also very nice to have a goal to set. You are able to set a goal of weight gain or loss so many pounds in so much time. The best part of this system is that it makes it fun. You get to compete against other peoples times/skill levels and against yourself. It makes it so exercise is a lot funner to do with the wii. I also like that they have many different types of workouts. It has yoga or games or step exercise and many more. I love that with the step exercises you can actually do it while changing the channel and watching something else. Another advantage to the wii fit is that it now has other games that can be played with the wii board. Overall I love this game.
...

I brought my wii fitboard the same time as the console because I wanted to try a new way to exercise at home and so far I love it. The wii fit board is easy to use and set up. I like the software that comes with it. There are 4 main components, balance, cardio, strength and yoga. The program gives you instructors to follow and step by step explainations on how to do the various exercises. I really enjoy all of it. I especially like the cardio being the kind of girl who hates to run, somehow running with the wii fit is just more fun. I also like the dance steps and the hula parts too. The piggy bank really ups the motivation factor! It is exciting to see it tally up how many minutes you've been exercising.

The only con I have with the wii fit is that each exercise is short in duration (except the running part). I would love it if they came out with a 2nd edition where you could choose and combine various sets into one long exercise routine.

The WiiFit works great if you use it. Sometimes people will choose a work out plan but then be lazy with it and not work out. You definitely do have to work out when using the WiiFit but the cool thing is if you put the effort in, you will see results. You can not just slowly move from side to side and do nothing but play the balance games. But if you actually do the strength training excerices, and challenge yourself to increase the reps, and then also do the aerobic exercises and challenge yourself to go longer, your hard work will pay off and you will see results in your strength and body image.
...

I love the Wii fit because It gets the whole family involved. Everyone is really competative in my family, so we are always tring to beat each other scores. One time my son was in bed and I came up to tell him I had the high score for ski jumping, he flew back down stairs to see if he could beat me forgetting how tired he was. He would have played all night if I would have let him. We all have our strenghts an love to show them off. We all enjoy playing together, and laughing at each other because we sometimes look silly. There is something for everyone, strength, agility, flexialibility. I love how it will let you know how long it has been since you have been on. Sometimes if it has been a long time your avitar will be sleeping. It is also nice how it gives you a place to put goals even if it is a small goal. I also like the fact that you can log outside activities to your log. Some people may think oh it's just a video game, but once they try it I think they would be hooked.
...

Chilledbeer says "This is exercise for people who never get off the couch - ever !" about Nintendo Wii Fit

So, the Wii Fit is a revolution. Everybody's talking about it, and the Wii and Wii fit were in short supply last year, and people were ready to pay 100 bucks extra to get one.

So once the bandwagon disappeared, I bought the Wii and Wii Fit off Craigslist, and I am appalled at the most amateurish, half-baked, flimsy gadget ever which masquerades as a video game console and a fitness routine.

Since when did stepping onto a balance board a 100 times count as exercise? Really?? This is an embarrassment to the electronics industry. Such bad graphics, pathetic cartoon characters, these things called Miis !!!

If you are a normal person with even an average IQ, and if you walk atleast 10 steps a day, then please don't waste your time and money on this, The only people who can lose weight through this are people who get off their couch once in 5 yrs.
...

I love the idea of the Wii Fit and I love the types of activities that are on it for exercising that actually just feel like games, especially the step aerobics and balance games. But there's also the serious exercises in yoga and strength training for people that want to feel like they're exercising. My kids who are 3 and 2 years old also love it, especially the running activities and balance games. I like it that they are able to play it with me.

The problem is that I hardly ever use the Wii Fit and here's why: Only one mii can get credit for playing at a time, even on the jogging activities where two people can participate. I wish you could do two to four players and just take turns without having to back all the way out to the beginning. Also, it takes just as long to set it up and choose activities as the activities last. So, while it counts your time to say you've spent 30 minutes exercising, it actually takes you an hour. I wish there was a way to set up a 30 minute program before...
...

The Wii Fit is a great way to "go to the gym" at home. I am a busy working mom and can't find the time to go to a gym. The Wii Fit is easy to turn on, get on, and get your work out on. The "personality" of the board will keep you going with her comments and tips. The first time you take a "break" that lasts some days...she will let you know that you have not stuck to your workout..so you try to do something every day. When you're not getting running and exercising, you can play games from skiing to tight rope walking for a variety. My favorite is the step routine when you are surrounded by "Mii's" which are like your workout partners. You can also run with a trainer and really work up a sweat right in front of your TV. You can tone and drop pounds if you combine it with a nutritional menu....great way to get a jumpstart on working out. The best thing..it is a family investment...everyone can enjoy it.
...
