Cooking mama on Nintendo DS is a very unique and fun cooking game. I love to cook regularly and decided to buy this game based off of a lot of good reviews. After buying this game I'm glad i did, it seems very realistic. There are parts where you actually have to blow into the mic on the DS in order to cool off a dish. You get to make shrimp tempura and a lot of other complicated recipes. This is not a very easy games, there are some dishes it took me a couple of tries to make. But overall I thought this game was very engaging and entertaining.
...

This game is quite fun. It's a typical cooking game, you open new challenges when you get good scores. However the part where you get presents makes no sense. They do nothing for the game, it seems to be an add on to make the game longer. I personally wish I could skip them as they get annoying!

My 5 year old also loves this game. He can easily play it without any help.
...

I bought this game for my daughter for a Christmas gift and she has thoroughly enjoyed it, to the point she plays it alot! I have tried making some of the things they have on there and somehow I am not quite fast enoughto prepare the menu items,LOL, my daughter thinks this is too funny. She can breeze through as if it is nothing but as for me, I guess I am not a child. My daughter is only 8 so she has cooking mama 2 as well. She really enjoys playing all the cooking mama games entirely! Sometimes I think she is hooked on these games, but this one is age appropriate , I do not think kids should be playing games that are not appropriate for their age bracket. Cooking Mama is a terrific game for all who care to venture into it. Other than the pets type of games, this is one of the major games that she plays. I think that if you have a child, especially a daughter, she will really enjoy this one. It is worth the money and they get alot of bang for the buck.
...

Cooking Mama 2 is the first game I bought for our Nintendo DS lite. The console was a gift from hubby. The game was for moi! Mama is too cute for words. I was practically giddy all over the first time I heard her say, "Even better than mama!" Very affirming. I don't think I've ever played a video game that had such a built-in maternal quality to it, it made me wish Cooking Mama was my real mom! Just kidding.

We bought it at Game Stop. I remember being the only female in the store that day, surrounded by a flock of very knowledgeable and seasoned male video gamers. One of them commented out of the blue when I picked up Cooking Mama, "Oh, that game is so addictive. But I don't usually tell people I love it. I have to tell them I'm playing some really violent game or something." So - there you go. Even the macho guy can't resist pleasing the Cooking Mama!

I found it most helpful to practice cooking with mama first before cooking with friends (which you accumulate as you......

I originally bought Cooking Mama on an interested whim, a joke with my sister about my own poor cooking skills. After playing I decided it was a lot easier, more fun, and way less destructive than real cooking.

The music and art of the game is cute and fun. Actual gameplay is interesting, easy to understand, and addicting. This game does not get boring, and even after finishing every recipie available it's perfectly fine to go back and play them again.
...

I recently purchased Cooking Mama for my three and a half year old daughter because she is really into her Nintendo DS and would play it all the time if I gave her the opportunity to do so. She has quite a few video games now, but I wanted something fun to add to her collection of games. I purchased Cooking Mama for her used at our local video game store to try out.

This is really a game of trial and error, and since there is a lot of reading required, I played it with her a couple of times to teach her how to play. You do not have to use the controller, just your stylus so it is really simple to play. All you do is create different dishes, and prepare them like you were really cooking.

It can be difficult sometimes because you have to do things quickly, and you are on a timer. Once you have played it a couple of times you get used to it. You will also collect different dishes to make the more you play, so the game play lasts a long time. There is no multiplayer mode on this...
...

Cooking Mama is a pretty good game, it is quick on the uptake and just requires a lot of practice. It is really fun to make all the different cultural recipes and add your own twist in on the mix. Some of the games however require really fast hands and that can cause carpal tunnel after prolonged gaming. You will need an ice pack after this....

This game is very fun, it has lots of different skills to learn and use to make around 70-80 different dishes. Some of the explanations of how to do certain things, for example, crack an egg, are not explained very well, so lots of practice is needed to figure out how to do it. Good news is, once you figure out how to do it, it is a lot easier. The game itself is easy to beat and it doesn't have a whole lot of gameplay time, but actually getting 100% on every dish is difficult....

Nintendo has done my tummy good! Cooking Mama is a Japanese-based cooking game for the Nintendo DS. It incorporates many aspects of real-life cooking, but makes it safe fun you can have anywhere.

Starting up the game, you see a glimpse of the kitchen you'll be working in and a picture of Mama, looking proudly back at you. Don't be fooled by her sweet smile and cute bandana...She does have a bad side. The goal of the game is to not get on her bad side by cooking each meal according to Mama's standards. Tap start and you'll see the main menu. You have a choice to cook, combine, use skill, or go to the options.

Selecting Let's Cook will bring up a picture menu of the foods you can make. Tap whichever dish looks appealing and you'll have the chance to practice making it, actually making it, or changing your mind and choosing something else. Selecting Practice will allow you to start anywhere in the process of making that particular dish so that when it comes time to Make it, you will......
