The Nikon 4600 is very easy to use you can buy at any Best buy or electronics store. This camera this not too expensive and is very affordable. The Nikon has 7 settings on it. Mean you can take moving pictures, video, still pictures, and in any weather. It's very compact mean you can carry with you anywhere you go. It even comes with its own camera carry bag. There are 2 areas to view your picture from the big screen in the middle or the little screen on top. The screen tells you what you are taking a picture of. Once you take your picture the camera will ask you if you want the picture to be deleted or not, and you also can prop your pictures right on the camera. You can also zoom or zoom out your picture that you want to take. There is a top button to turn off and on your camera. When your battery is low the cameras will tell you that to. There is also a slot for memory cards that you can put the pictures on the computer, or you can use without memory card. Nikon takes good quality...

I am reviewing the Nikon Coolpix 4600 Digital camera. Let me just start off by saying that this is really a great camera for the novice, or experienced photographer. It has an effective range of 4.0 megapixels, and a 3x optical zoom! I have found that the 4.0 megapixel range is capable of reproducing great high detail pictures, which make great 5x7 prints. Nikon cameras, even when rated at a lower megapixel rating still tend to have a higher quality cmos sensor capable of capturing more vivid detail than many other consumer brands. The 3x optical zoom is also a very nice addition to the unit itself. The optical zoom is really great for adjusting and getting a little closer for those special shots. After one has reached the threshold of 3x, it goes into the mode of digital zoom, and maintains its quality rather well until it has reached its furthest zoom point. This Nikon-COOLPIX 4600 digital camera is sufficient for taking simple pictures like for Ebay, etc. Which is what I use it for mostly. I tend to have problems with reflections from the flash on new plastic covered items and items with electronic screens, but the picture doesn't seem to come out as good when using it without the flash. I usually have to take the picture on an angle when using the automatic flash mode. It does take good pictures of written details when zoomed all the way in as long as you don't get a reflection from the automatic flash. It is a good handy size that is easy to hold and use. I use it a few times a week for about 30 pictures or so and I have to replace the batterys approximatley every four to six weeks. I sometimes think I should have invested into a recharchable digital camera to cut down on my batterey costs and probably will in the future. It also doesn't give you much warning when batteries on running low, so I always try to keep a spare set on hand....

the nikon coolpix 4600 is not a reliable camera. the screen failed on it after the warranty expired. nikon fixed the camera and it has been been operating in slow motion ever since. The repair cost almost as much as buying a new one and as I said it is slow after taking a picture, meaning you miss shots waiting for it to recover....

The camera captures great high-resolution images very light weight, and is perfectly suited for shirt pockets Not much larger than a credit card ,capable of focusing as close 1.6 inches , Operating this camera is so straightforward I doubt you'll need the manual for much more than reference, although it's definitely worth reading about how to use the Best Shot Selector function for low-light photos, and learning to use the Preset White Balance option. nice selection of external control buttons, making it very easy-to-navigate .

Also included with the Coolpix 4600 is a video cable for connecting to a television set for slide shows, and a USB cable for downloading images to a computer.

I own a SRL Nikon and I have always been more than pleased with it. I feel the same about the coolpix4600. It has all the extra features you need, easy to transport to your computer. Also it's small, but not so small that you don't realize it's there and you drop it....

The Nikon Coolpix 4600 is the best camera I have had in a long time. It is so easy to use and the pictures come out nice and clear ever time!! I like having the video on there as well because there are times when I am out and don't have a video camera that it comes in very handy. It's always in my purse because it is so small and lightweight!...

The batteries died while taking a picture. This made the lens not retract even when new batteries were put in. Tech support said "Well, send it in and if you didn't cause the problem we won't bill you." This was very rude. We did fix the camera, but for the same money you can get a Cannon....

I have to say, I haven't found the need quite yet to move onto a new camera. My Nikon has been going strong for at least 3 years now and still makes me happy! The quality is good and the menus are easy and fun. I may have to upgrade within the next year or two, but it has been a good run indeed....

We purchased the Nikon 2 wks before my daughter was born. She's now 2 1/2 & I guess I should be grateful that it's lasted this long but the the shutter lens is starting to stall out. You have to turn the camera on & off a couple of times for it to open. The picture quality is fantastic & it's fairly easy to use. I just hope that the lens failing to open is not the start of a downhill slide!...
