I received my Nextar-Navx3 from my husband after we had moved to a new state and I got lost of the second time. It is easy to program and fun to listen to. The screen is a convenient size making it easy to see. I would not have bought a navigation system for myself, but I'm glad my husband felt it important enought to buy it for me. It is nice to have someone with you in the vehicle to tell you the way to go.I like the fact that the Nextar-Navx3 is portable and can be taken out of the car when it is parked and not leaving the GPS to attract theives. I have purchased two for Christmas gifts for my children who live out of my state and need travel help at sometime. It's great. If I ever had any doubt about using the Nextar-Navx3, my doubts are gone. It is very easy to use, program,store and follow its directions. All I need to do now is to remember to put it in the vehicle with me when I plan to go somewhere.

I love my gps. I had a tomtom and it broke on me and now i went with a cheaper model and it has outlasted the other one and the lag time is no where near what the other one is. It lacks POI and such but it gets me where I need to go every time!

the Nextar Gps is wonderful ! I have trouble trouble with a remote on a TV but this was so simple.

I received this Nextar GPS/X3-03 for Christmas, because we moved to SC, and I had no clue how to get around.The first time I used it , it took me45 minutes to go to a store 15 minutes away. We had it set for shortcut, and direct route, and it took me the longest way possible. I also cannot set the time, I called customer service, and went on website, with no reply. Would not recommend this product to anyone. A loser in my eyes.

I really like the Nextar GPS. I bought it from Kohl's when I had a 30% coupon, so the price was even better. I compared my Nextar with a Garmin and the Nextar was easier to understand. I also like the idea of being able to view pictures or listen to music on one system. I went on a trip with a friend and she brought along her Garmin. I couldn't understand it, so I started using my Nextar. My only complaint is the voice. Not much of a fan for the ladies voice.

This is a basic unit. It will allow you to upload mp3 and image files. So I guess you can also use it as a very small digital picture frame. The voice prompts allow plenty of time to position for your next turn. Maps are dated about 2006, so some errors are possible. I have not found a way to download new POI (points of interest) from the internet, so that may be a set back. This unit has a VERY short battery life, maybe one and a half hours fully charged. Address input is easy. You pick a state, start typing the city until it shows in the list, pick a house number, then street. Addresses are accurate with minimal flaws. My particular address says I am across the street. But keep this in mind, paper maps don't have street numbers. The menu system is very intuitive. My wife was able to navigate, save favorite addresses, and change settings without using the manual. For a cheapy system you get your money's worth.

Does have one small glitch. At times a "ghost"...

I have this nextar GPS. I got it for my husband for a surprise anniversary trip. It was very reasonable, I paid only 79.99 after mail in rebates at Kmart. I was planning on getting a more expensive one but I am soooo glad I did not. It has been a lifesaver and worth every penny and then some. We not only used it when we went on the trip but we use it every weekend for going to tag sales and day trips. It knows every road with precision, right down to the house number and finds the quickest route. I love this device and have even let our parents borrow it when they went across country. They loved it so much that, when they returned from their trip they went out and got the same one. It is definately comparable to any of the other models that are more expensive. It is so easy to use a few touches and it is good to go. It has such good features and was so reasonable I feel like I got a steal. I will be using this with great results for a long time to come.

We bought this model 2 weeks ago the next day we ende up taking it back, had problems with it showing locations,maps and kept shutting off..We went with another brand and all is well.

My Nextar has been so helpful to me. I moved to a different state where I did not know where anything was. It has helped me find new places to eat. Also, it has been very helpful when I have had to take business trips to large cities that I have never been to before. I am able to relax and not worry about getting lost. The only thing I wish Nextar had was the current speed limit of the area in which you are driving in posted on the screen. Besides that I love it!...

I bought my Nextar GPS on the day after Thanksgiving. I was so excited about buying it and testing it out. When I took it home to try it out it took awhile to aquire my GPS signal. Because I am not from the Kansas area originally, it is very easy to get lost. I took my GPS system out and I was able to navigate anywhere. It was very easy to use and it was affordable too. ...

I bought the Nextar NAVX3 navigation system for my husband, wanting the simplest system possible. I also didn't want to spend a lot, being on a limited income. My husband was thrilled with this system; it lists local roads & even alleys, along with showing compass directions and speed he's traveling. This system was on sale at K-Mart for $99 but has a $20 mail-in rebate! Great deal!...
