The second installment of the "Twilight" series, "New Moon" was an intense read for me. I was enthralled from the very first sentence, and rarely put it down for anything. The characters from the first book come back in a new and exciting way with more emotions and more personal history. It is difficult to write a review that doesn't spoil any vital parts of the book, but I can say that the storyline was immensely expanded here and that questions are answered, but many more questions will plague you by the end of the book. You will want to keep reading the rest of the series as soon as you finish this one. If you have ever wanted a new twist on the fictional world of monsters you will be interested on Stephanie Meyer's take on things. Blending real life situations with the realm of make believe and romance, this is a thrill ride you will not soon forget. I've read the entire series and I think this is my favorite of all of them!
...

New Moon is the second book in the Twilight series. The book begins with Bella’s birthday. She hates the thought of turning eighteen because, Edward will never turn eighteen. The Cullen’s give Bella a birthday party at their home. All seems to go well at first. That is until Bella gets a paper cut. Edwards’s brother Jasper has trouble keeping to the "Vegetarian" diet and lunges after Bella. Luckily Edward saves her yet again.

After the Birthday events, Edward is distant. Bella senses something is wrong with Edward and that something is coming to an end. One day after school Edward takes Bella for a walk in the forest. He tells Bella he’s leaving and no longer wants her. Edward leaves Bella in the forest, where she numbly stumbles through the woods looking for Edward who is long gone. After hours of searching she falls...
...

Oh this book was so good. It was so emotional with everything that happened, but it left me needing more. It ended on a good note and wasn't depressing all the way through. New Moon was a very important book because like other relationships we must see if we can miss that other person and how important they really are. Bella was kind of amusing all the antics she got herself in just to have the hallucinations. Fortunately she never died, but she got very reckless. Those liked Twilight will enjoy this book and will not be able to put it down and it will make the desire to see the movie all the more torturous.
...

I like how the book focuses more on the relationships with Jacob and Bella and brings in the story of the werewolves. It is full of suspense and some romance .

I've read New Moon, which is book two in the Twilight Saga. There are so many things I can say about this book. It's wonderfully written with lots of action and it depicts the emotions of the characters marvelously. At first it wasn't particularly one of my favorites because of how Edward Cullen leaves Bella behind, telling her he doesn't love her anymore but when I realized he did it to protect her I found it to be a favorite. While it could have had more of how Edward was feeling while away from Bella and what he did during that time away all in all the book was wonderful.

Also with how Bella dealt with his leaving was mindblowing and how Jacob came in and brought her back from the dark abyss that she was in. One of my particular favorite parts in the entire book was when Bella and Edward reunited in Italy when she saved him after he thought she was dead. The book was very action packed and was never lacking for a dull moment. The ending also left me wanting to read more about both Bella...
...

The second book in Stephine Meyer's book series The Twilight Saga is New Moon, which is my favorite of all the twilight saga books. To me it captures everying love should be if in a fictional and magafied way which works great in fantasy life but not so much in real life. I love the idea of Bella hearing Edward whenever she does something dangerous or stupid. She gets so much to the point of wanting to hear his voice she chose to jump off a cliff which leads to some very dangerous results but not to her but to Edward her love who has left her thinking she would be better off with out him. This book also introduces the Vamprier rulling class and establishes the idea that the vampriers too have rules and autority to answer to. I think this is a great book for anyone over the age of 19 who has some understanding of what really works in love in the real world but could give those younger reads a bad role modle to follow.
...

New Moon is full of great love and romance yet it is full of action and suspense all the way. Part of me wanted to throw the book across my bedroom yet I kept reading way into the night. Stephanie Meyers is such a great young adult fiction writer all of her books are hard to put down. The one thing I wish, if I could change one thing is that Edward would be a bit more involved in this book. However, Bella learning she can act dangerously and some how bring Edward's voice to her is neat and adds much suspense to the book. Although, Jacob is a great character in this book and comes to show his true colors. Bella and his relationship blossoms and shows to be a great attraction in this book. I really enjoyed the two together. The fact that a whole pack of werewolves are bent on protecting Bella from the crazy vampire that wants revenge makes the book that much more suspensful and action packed. Loved this book as well as all of Stephanie Meyers books. A great read!
...

It's Bella's 18th birthday and of course she doesn't want anyone else to know about it or celebrate it or stare at her or make a fuss.

So far, typical Stephanie Meyer depressing teenage, angst-ridden, depressing female character. Did I mention depressing? S

he cuts herself while at a birthday party the vampires Cullen are throwing for her and one of their number cannot resist and attempts to jump her. Edward bounces him off her and gets her to a hospital after some patch-up (she fell into a glass table, the klutz). He decides to leave her. She immediately goes into a psychotic, catatonia. She rolls up in a ball in the middle of a forest glen with the rain falling and stays there for hours and hours. Her father and others are searching for her.

Then Sam (who we later find out is a member of the local Native Americans and a werewolf) finds her. We then cut to her house. Rarely goes out, cuts off her friends, months go by. The author represents this with blank...
...

New Moon by Stephanie Meyer is an excellent read. This series is definitely not just for pre-teens and teens! I am a 26 year old with a full time job and could not put this book down. At times I would have to sneak and read this while at work. It is a captivating read. I can only hope that there will be more of this series to read. There were some interesting twists involving Jake and Bella. Some things that I never expected to happen! This is an awesome love story and made me yearn to live it out in my true life. If only every guy was an Edward! It had an extremely interesting plot and was incredibly well written novel about Vamires of all things. I was very skeptical before reading this series but I would liken it to Harry Potter. Just one of the books you can't get enough of, can't put down and are upset when it finally ends. The characters are very life like and make the whole world of vamires and werewolves more believable.
...

I was highly anticipating this book. I had finished Twilight, and watched the movie, I could hardly contain myself. I read over half of the book in the first day!!!

While I was disappointed that there wasn't more Edward/Bella in this one, I thought that it was important to explore the relationship between Bella and Jake. While, I haven't read the next two novels yet, I was never so excited when Bella and Edward were reunited in the end. They are truly this generations Romeo and Juliet. I just hope that it doesn't end as tragically as that book did.....

During the break-up part of the book, though I felt silly, I cried like a baby!!! When I was 15-16 yrs old, I myself went through a terrible breakup, and while it was....a long time ago, the authors telling of it brought all of those old emotions flooding back! I felt that emptiness that Bella felt, and that pain, as I'm sure most, if not all, teens experience at some time or another. There is nothing on this earth like the pain of losing...
...

I really don't have as much time to read as I would like, so when I do read several things happen. I either lose patience with poorly written books or I devour them up sort of like a group of teenagers on a pizza. New Moon, book 2 in the Twilight Saga was one of those that, to be honest, had me confused. I read it quickly, I think in about 2 days. Let me explain, I am a WAHM, I have 4 children and a very busy schedule, so if I read New Moon in 2 days there must have been something done right don't you think?

New Moon opens with what can only be described at the birthday party from you know where. A small cut on Bella causes members of Edward's vampire family to go into a frenzy. As a result, Edward in an effort to protect the disaster prone Bella from herself and being torn apart by vampires decides that they will all leave her alone.
