Betty Crocker still around and getting better! This is a great cookbook for all. Great gift for the new cook and a great refresher for advanced cooks. The recipes are both delicios and helpful. Now you can also support breast cancer research with a purchase of this cookbook so if you can afford it buy one not only for yourself but as a gift to that new bride, new cook or just anyone (like me) who just loves cookbooks.

I found the book easy to navigate. I could find that old favirute that I didn't have the recipe anymore and I could find a "healthy" version. Betty Crocker has it all, the basics, improved recipes (but still very flavorful" . The catagorie tabs make it easy to find just the right recipe.

The illistrations, pictures are great. You can see how the dish looks in case you aren't sure about cooking it etc. Each picture is so inviting that your mouth waters. Unlike some cookbooks your creations will actually look like the picture. I just hate making a dish and it looks nothing...

Ok I bought this cook book mainly because it was a Breast Cancer supporter but the recipe's in it are really good. I love to cook and bake. And I found some great recipe's for Breads, pastas and a great pork chop recipe's. The book is well written and easy to understand. They have som recipe's that children can do and its easy for them to understand and follow along. I want to have my children learn to cook and know how to read a cook book for that matter. Most cook books are hard to understand what they want you to put into the pot. This one is clear and nothing is lost in translation so to speak. The book is bound nicely so you can store it on a shelf or keep it in the pantry. Mine sts on the shelf by my baking supplies. I woulld definatley reccomend this book to you and your family.

Betty Crockers cookbook is the best. Great photos and easy instructions. Would recommend this cookbook to anyone and would purchase it as a gift for friends and family. The tips are easy to understand. My favorite thing is the measuring helper....

I think this is a really good, all-around cookbook. You don't have to be a master chef to use it. The recipes are easy to follow and for the most part, the ingredients are common ones you'll have on hand. I dislike cookbooks with really obscure ingredients you won't find outside a large ethnically diverse city. It simply makes it too much work to make the recipes.

It's really nice too that it has a three-ring binder, stury backing and you can wipe the plastic pages if food spills on them. It's so much easier to keep the book open and new-looking.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a standard, easy to use, famiy pleasing cookbook.

For those who are not cooking connoisseurs it is a good and informative book. I've frankly read and seen better books however. There were many creative recipes, and visual pictures. I would recommend it to friends, provided they are not Martha Stewart like epicures. Overall I say it is a good book, one worth keeping in the kitchen for reference.

I have used this cook book for years and was delighted when I received the newer version. I always enjoy sitting down with the cookbook and going through the receipes and trying different receipes. The Betty Crocker cookbook has receipes for every occasion. I sometimes have to reduce ingredients for a smaller portion but with their guuide it is easy. I also like that they include substitutions for certain ingredients that I might not have on hand. Receipes are easy to follow and everything I have made from the Betty Crocker book has been delicious. The whole family likes the receipes. It is one of the main gifts I give to brides when they marry. This is one gift that gives for years....

You just can't go wrong with this classic. Better Homes and Gardens cookbook is the all-time best cookbook. I am a family recipe cook that does not use specific measurements. However, in order to expand on my knowledge i got the limited edition COOK BOOK because it was so organized and give you all the measurements you need. The best part is the sections they have for each food group and cooking tips and tricks. Some of the recipes are simple and general and not really euthentic. But this book makes up for it by giving you general tips that mom may have forgotten to mention. Just look at the section under Beef and you will find how to cook certain cuts and what section of the animal correspondes to what cut. ...

I received this as a gift and I have used it quite a bit. The recipes are healthy and easy to follow. This book also teaches quite a bit about cooking, meats, different veggies, and are in color. I would recommend this to friends. You will not go wrong by purchasing this cookbook!
