A few months ago I was having some problems with breakouts that was more to whiteheads than real pimples. Anyway, it was making me feel very unconfortable because it was something that could not be covered with make-up. In fact I was even avoiding to use make-up afraid that it would make the whiteheads worse.

That's when I decided to buy a little arsenal to fight those annoying litte bumps that were living and reproducing on my cheeks. I bought a bottle of Deep Clean, a Biore Pore Unclogging Scrub and this Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask.

I have to agree with one of the critical reviews that the product as a cleanser is not the great thing out there but even when I don't use it as a mask I try to leave it in my skin long enough to feel the cooling and it is very refreshing. As a mask I apply it to the dry skin, and leave it there for no longer than 5 minutes and rinse in the shower. I didn't experience any over-dryness, only that little regular dryness that happens everytime I wash...

I was having problems with little white bumps on my cheek area, so I thought I would try Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser and Mask. Big mistake. Don't try this product. I used it as a mask and kept it on for the time the directions recommended. The consistency is of toothpaste and smells nice. My face burned a little but not too bad. After time was up, I rinsed off the mask and my face was beet red. This is not an exaggeration. My face looked like I laid out at the beach for ten hours. I'm not sure if it takes off the first couple layers of skin or what. I have never seen my face so red. I thought I was going to have to go to the doctor or be permanently scarred. It was very strange. The redness started to fade about 15 minutes later. It took about 30 minutes for the redness to go away completely. My face returned to normal. There was no scarring or scabs, but it was a shocker. This a product I wouldn't recommend.

I've tried a lot of different facial cleansers, and this stuff is the best. I used it twice a day and my skin felt smooth and clean. It doesn't over dry either. My skin is usually a little oily and this took care of that. With most other cleansers.. my skin would be oily again by the middle of the day. It didn't make my skin sensitive or red.. then again I don't use a million other facial products either. I also didn't use this product more than twice a day either.

It had a nice scent to it too - it wasn't too "perfumey" but it didn't just smell like chemicals. It also decreased the amount of acne I got throughout the month.

I didn't think it was hard to wash off - with some cleansers it takes forever to get rid of that slimy feeling - but not with this product. It won't come off with just a splash but, its easier than most.

I love this product and will definitely buy this again in the future.

I absolutly love the neutrogena clear pore mask. it has helped me so much in keeping my face visibly clean. When ever i brake out i just put on the mask for about 5 to 8 min. and my face can feel the freshness. My job requires me to meet hundreds of people a day and the neutrogena clean pore mask is what give me the confidence to face every single one of my guest.

I am in my 30's and started breaking out like i was in my teens all over again. My Dermatologist recommend Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser and Mask. Having tried Neutrogena products in the past and not having very much success (Sorry Neutrogena), I was skeptical. It is fantastic. I use in every evening as a cleanser and once a week as a mask. You can really feel it working and I saw noticeablycleaer skin in just a few weeks. It is a very creamy cleanser, so you really only need a dime size drop for your entire face. A little more for the mask. When it is used as a mask, you can feel it heat up, so you know it is really working. You can also use it on your body so it is very convenient to have both a face and body product in one. It is around $7 in most stores, but worth it because, again, you only need a small bit of it so it can last months.

The Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask offers a good alternative to those who do not want to clutter their shelves with too many products. The smell is very pleasant and I can feel it working. However, it tends to be drying. So if you have sensitive skin, you might just want to use it as a cleanser only....

I tried the Neutrogena Cleanser/Mask as a mask first, and I loved it...it smoothed out my skin without overdrying. However, trouble arose when I tried to use it as a cleanser - it was sticky, didn't do a great job of cleaning my face, and was hard to wash off. I think I'll stick with seperate masks and cleansers from now on.

this cleanser/mask is amazing. I have tried so many things before and none of them seemed to work. I cleanse with this every night and use as a mask every Sunday. It makes your skin a little sensitive and red after you use it, and that's why i cleanse my skin with it at night. After two weeks, my skin had a MAJOR difference. I'm sure in a while, i will have no more pimples! It has benzoyl peroxide which i think really helped because salicylic acid never worked for me. Use this product. It's fantastic....

I had acne vulgaris for a decade, and then I found this product. You don't need Proactiv, Murad, zapzit, or anything else on tv, this WORKS, and it won't cost you nearly as much. I haven't had any issues with clothing or bedding bleached after my use of this product, but if I did I would replace it in a second, because I have gained confidence and happiness because of this product....

This product just works great for me. I use it every day as my cleanser in the shower and about twice a month as a mask and have had great results. This product is very gentle and has never dried out my skin but clears up acne wonderfully. Though it does have bleaching agents in it, I have never had it stain anything, but it is definitely possible so best to not use it just before bed. Though I like this product as a mask, I wouldn't buy it solely as a mask because there are better ones out there (mary kay masks are my favorite) but it is by far my favorite cleanser on the market. It might seem a tad pricey to the budget conscious but the stuff lathers making a little go a long way so you really do get your money's worth....

This product really helped my skin. Alot of the prescriptions were not helping at all, but this face wash/ mask helped to elimate the small bumps before they became big pimples. I used it as face wash every other day and as a mask once a week and within a two weeks i saw major results. Anyone who has not had luck with prescriptions should try this....

This is a really great cleanser for those with problem skin and acne. It contains benzyol peroxide so is effective against acne, but does not dry out the skin like other products with benzyol peroxide. It works as a mask and cleanser in one, making it doubly worth the price! After years of trying many different acne fighting products- I finally have one that I swear by!
