jasonatq1520radio says "Netgear Wireless Routers are easy to setup and maintain" about NetGear Wireless router

There are several features of Netgear Wireless routers that make them easy to setup and maintain. When you first setup the router, it will even take you through a setup wizard that attempts to automatically configure your DSL or cable modem connection to use with the router.

You can setup security with the wireless router or leave your network unsecured. You can set it up to use a remote connection or not. The router features several optional components so you can set it up exactly as you like it.

I have used several Netgear wireless routers, occasionally some with different model numbers, but the product is consistant across the board and generally easy to operate.

The one negative about Netgear is that their telephone support is obviously handled in another country where English is not the primary speaking language. I once had an issue with a router and while I could tell the tech was attempting to help me, the call lasted well over two hours and ended without resoution. Part of the...
...

We purchased the Netgear Wireless Router G primarily for the purpose ofconecting our XBox 360 to the World Wide Web, and that Gaming Platform's Online Capability. Along the way, we found that the wireless functionality was by far more useful we had originally intended. My son picked up a Nintendo DSi which also has wireless functions, but with no other DSi player aroung the house, had no use for it. Once the Netgear Router was hooked up, he found that he had the abilty to connect with the Nintendo store and recieve downloadable content specific to his DSi!. We also found with job related telecommuting that my wife does, she was able to connect by logging on to the home wireless network that was set up originally for the Gaming Platform. A sudden plus since she frequently brings home laptops for the purpose of testing thier viabilty for continued use from her department. All in all, this little device was a cost concience purchase that has paid for itself in so many ways. What...
...

I have used the NetGear Wireless Router for almost a year now, and I'm very satisfied with its performance. Although the NetGer Wireless Router is not as fast, or as powerful as cable Internet, it is still very dependable and gets the job done, so I guess it's safe to say that I am a very satisfied customer.
...

The Netgear wireless router is a terrible product. I had nothing but interupted data transfers and service cause all kinds of problems in networking my computers at home. Just When I finnally got the router connected to my network it broke, Neither computer could access the internet. I had to disconnect everything return the product and start all over again. I knew I had the set it up right and recieved critizem at the store I bought it from. I had to make the retailer send someone from their IT department out to my home test to make sure I was setting up the network and router the right way. After the IT person came out, he said I was setting the network and the router right and the router was beyond broken. I did not drop it, It was in now way damged on the outside or inside. Bad parts and seemed more like the netgear wireless router was thrown together from spare parts. The tech also mentioned that the Netgear wireless router over heats real easy even if it is free standing in...
...
